Front hub w/ Corvette rotor, still needs the studs. (I'll get them in the morning) And bearing races.
Modified Trans Sport upright w/ S-10 bearing assembly
Set in the wheel.
Close up showing the clearance. On a Countach replica with 12" wide wheels on Fiero suspension, the wheels need to be this close or they wind up sticking out of the flares.
More to come. Joe

Man joe this is so wild to see, and thank you for the explanation of what I was looking at....
BTW everyone, I just got a spot of news on parts for the Countach kits out there, Just talked to Ged, he's re-opening Black Bull Productions in the UK. This is the Gentleman that made my frames for my car. He'd been out of touch for a while working on a project fro the 2012 Olympics so couldn't talk, but is back now and will be in full swing in two weeks. He's waiting on two machines and will have everything he requires to make Countach's parts again. If you want Wheels older style he can get them cast but will require 10 sets to get them made. They are exact knockoffs of the 5000s wheel cast from aluminum, any offset and will be around 1500 British pounds Sterling. The frames are $322.35 US currency shipped to US or Canada. I'll take some more pics of the glass pieces resting in the frames so you can see how nice they fit.
Cheers, Will

I had also heard that VW ones can work, but I'm not sure which model they are from.

amazing work as always Joe, Can't wait to get all this So I've been sick the last few days and only got over to the shop once. I started removing the cardboard mold flange off the mold edges for the wheel flairs to "pop" the molds. I'll take some more pics shortly once I start grinding and removing the patterns.
Hey Will, are you still sick? hope you are ok...I haven't recieved a responce to my PM to you, I'm not sure its getting thru, but by your comment above it has? so here is the question I asked in PM...
Where did you get the guage Background overlays and what is the cost? I would like to get a set... Also is see you have a mold of rear flares that look like the NON 25th (flares wrap around the behind the wheel) is possible to get a set made? or even better a whole non 25th rear Valance would be better, if so how much?
Thanks
John

for the gauge overlays, I made those myself, based on reference from Mark's, not bad eh... also, Joe is making me some center caps for the LC 15 Compomotive wheels I bought from him, these should be amazing. I brought home my airbox cover to make a template for the cooling strakes in front of the grills. I'm going to try and cut these out with a laser cutter once finished, we'll see. Yes, I can make you a set of flairs. Mike "helped me" make molds, ok, he made the molds for me , Thanks Mike, from parts from an 88.5 replica a friend lent me the flairs to. I don't have the rear valance, though wish I did.

Front hubs with studs and bearing races installed.
With rotor in place.
The hubs were designed as a direct replacement for the Fiero rotor, using the Fiero bearings, seals and have the needed 5 on 4 3/4" bolt circle and place the wheel mount surface where it needs to be to accomodate the backspacing of the Compomotive wheels.
Down to fabing the caliper mount brackets.

I'd love to see a drawing for those hubs showing the internal dimensions. I don't really trust my own measurements for the fiero hubs (or anything else for that matter)
it's extremely cool that we have all these countach kits on here now. ok, it's what, three now? but it's still way cool! I used to dream of building a countach (or testarossa) kit on a fiero when I was younger, so here's me hoping you'll finish this according to plan

Oh thanks, You can bet I'll finish, Mark's car is a motivational tool, every time I see his genuine car, or even look at mine... just wish these things actually came with Plans, lol
I here you on having plans Will,...All I got was the body + a bunch of parts, no instructions...i call the original owner but he hadn't touched it since he got it in 1997...(i got it last year) Buts how you get a custom car built to the way you like it, and you meet a bunch of great people give you advice and a helping hand...

I bought the body and assembly VCR tapes from Alan at Euroworks before I bought my Mirages S kit. I converted them over to dvds, and chaptered them about evey 10 to 15 minutes, so I can scan through them faster when looking for what I need. They are worth every penny.

Will, did his post get deleted, I didn't see anything from him in your thread? aside from that, if you look at my thread at mad mechanics in the mall for my bodies and molds, it would seem that I called his bluff. at this point I really don't have anything positive to say about him, I'll leave it at that.

Alan should still have just the videos for sale. I'm not going to be selling copies of his copyrighted stuff. Just wanted to point out that they are VERY helpful. Maybe not very professionally made, but full of some nice to know information. Sorry for the confusion.
As for the guy on mad...he still never provided a link, that would take what, 15 seconds to post.
Just click on my web link to see a very small amount of what I have been doing on mine. Just last night I tack mounted the plates on the chassis, to bolt the door hinges to. Moving along a little at a time.

I thought I had seen him pop up before. Talk, talk, talk, and no action huh....
By the way, I saw your molds are up on ebay now. Still sucks to see you doing that, but I understand that a guy has to do, what a guy has to do.

thanks Kevin, bit pricey for VHS lol for both anyway... Will
No cd is worth 300 bucks either, but Microsoft seems to think so. Keep in mind, you are not paying for the tapes, you are paying for the info on the tapes. There are little secrets and tips on these tapes, that I have not found anywhere on the web. I can pretty much promise you, the price of the tapes will be saved in the cost of mistakes and headaches along the way of building a Countach from the ground up.

Alan does show in the tapes, how to build the door asembly starting at the hinge plate on a jig. The other tape shows and explains the correct placement for the hinge on the plate, and on the body, using the clam shell stye hinge. They are included on tapes that has tons of other stuff on it though. One thing I thought was funny, while Alan is trying to make the videos his phone seems to ring a lot.

the dvd I have shows the placement of the hinge, door strikers, adding the door skin, and alignment of the door, perhaps a little more..but is pretty dark and shaky
