Got an Idea that in my opinion will turn out "better"
Heres what i changed (compare to the previous pictures...)
Kinda hard to explain where its going.. So I won't try to explain it... I'll try to have the "idea" finished by friday... It might take awhile... But will have a smoother look...

female molds, if finished properly will give you better parts with far less work. in a female mold you finish the inside, which is the outside of the finished part. a male mold, you'll have to finish every single part you make. and by finish i mean sand and fill and sand.....
for mass produced parts, female molds are the way to go. one off, male molds are easier and cheaper. you basically have a one off male mold now.
as for vaseline for a release agent, i don't know. i never heard of anyone using it. it seems like it may work if the resin doesn't displace it. i get my supplies, including release agent from these guys www.fgci.com
they're local to me but they do ship. there are many others too.
I covered it with latex paint, but am not yet satisfied with the overall shape...
And heres 2 pictures I took just for the hek of it... funding from my mods for now will go to getting a workshop or better yet, move out of my room... lol (aka cleaning oiut and modifing the garage, so my work shop isnt this small...)

Not laying up glass within 50 feet of the house... That'll be done on 2 sawhorses outside till I find a new home for the junk in the garage...
Im guessing it'll be no more than 1 week till I lay glass, but Im hoping to get the mold right before then... Im hopng to lay it Saturday at the least... Then again, It depends on the weather too...
i think most of them will get more interested when they see a part pulled off the mold. i'll bet you'll get some emails when you post some pics then. especially when i post mine installed and functional
This is getting more interesting, if I can put my 2 (where the heck is that cent symbol) in, I think it looks better without the blue centers. The one thing I like about Fiero is the low wide look. My concern would be that having those supports/separators going down the center line might make it appear too busy in the back. Think nice clean lines and curves.
I kinda abandoned the blue centers... I got a better idea
Hese 2 pix of the plug sitting on my notchie... (note it will not be this high off the decklid) This is somewhat what it will look like about twice as low, possibly 3 times as low... I'd like to have it 3 and a half inches off the decklid, no more than 4... in these pictures its about 5 and a half, 6 inches high...

It's got a good balance between stock and some of the really obvious, gaudy mods out there. Really looks like it could belong! This is actually one of the few body mods I would consider (had I any money =P)! Great work, and the price you mentioned in your thread over in GFC seems reasonable. Good luck!

Thanx for your inspiration... keep your eyes on the posts, I might rework a few lines... But I'm probally gonna start another vent plug to do so, so I can keep this shape (just incase)

Any progress..?? I wish I lived closer, we would kick ass!
Well, if it werent for my s/o, I'd say this:
"Im almost 18"...
As far as progress... I removed the sides i had on it, cause they weren't turning out right... I glued the other side pieces together last night... Now that I have a little timer before it gets dark, Im gonna go sand em, shape em a little bit. And get back to ya when they're atached to the plug...
enough pictures till later today...
