Here is a tune you haven't heard:

Just listen, you might actually like it.

Like the US, Russia is a big country influenced by many varied cultures.

Child In Time
So,
it's a classic, now.
It has been more than half a century.

I thought it was good then, profound lyrics.
What I didn't know then...
Humble thanks for all this life.
Brooding .
It's all good

Two songs where Bronwyn Keith-Hynes really shines.

The first, “Castilleja”, was written by Molly Tuttle. Bronwyn steps up at 4:00 and gets real interesting by the 5:00 mark.

This second song was written by Bronwyn Keith-Hynes and she sets it on fire right from the start.

This is a tune I hadn't heard before. Tuba Skinny does a great job, as usual.

Pops Coffee provides a brief narative and breakdown in the first comment.

This little girl's got way too much soul for being so young.

The Epiphone she is playing is older than me. I love the sound of the steel in this one.

' Walk this Way ! '
' Born to Swing ! '
' Walk this Way ! '
' Born to Swing ! '

Backstroke lover always hidin' 'neath the cover
'Till I talked to my daddy, he say
He said, "You ain't seen nothing
'Till you're down on a muffin
Then you're sure to be a-changin' your ways"
I met a cheerleader, was a real young bleeder
All the times I can reminisce
'Cause the best thing lovin' with her sister and her cousin
Only started with a little kiss, like this
See-saw swingin' with the boys in the school
With your feet flyin' up in the air
Singin' "Hey diddle-diddle with the kitty in the middle
Of the swing" like I didn't care
So I took a big chance at the high school dance
With a missy who was ready to play
Wasn't me she was foolin'
'Cause she knew what she was doin'
And I know love is here to stay
When she told me to
Walk this way, walk this way
Walk this way, walk this way
Walk this way, walk this way
Walk this way, walk this way
Ah, just give me a kiss
Like this
School girl sweetie with the classy kinda sassy
Little skirt's climbin' way up her knees
There was three young ladies in the school gym locker
When I noticed they was lookin' at me
I was a high school loser, never made it with a lady
'Til the boys told me something I missed
Then my next door neighbor with a daughter had a favor
So I gave her just a little kiss, like this
See-saw swingin' with the boys in the school
With your feet flyin' up in the air
Singin' "Hey diddle-diddle with the kitty in the middle
Of the swing" like I didn't care
So I took a big chance at the high school dance
With a missy who was ready to play
Wasn't me she was foolin'
'Cause she knew what she was doin'
When she told me how to walk this way
She told me to
Walk this way, walk this way
Walk this way, walk this way
Walk this way, walk this way
Walk this way, talk this way
Just give me a kiss
Like this

There is the story right there, sure to be introduced as evidence in the upcoming show trial.
That's the entertainment biz-niz.

I just heard these for the first time, last night.

It's not often that I hear new "country" music that I like.

This is a modern interpretation of a mid 19th century Russian folk song. The title asks "What kind of songs are they singing in Russia?"

For two centuries, from the mid 1600's to the time of this song, many musical instruments were banned in Russia.

In case anyone cares, this band is not Communist and they are opposed to the war. They are first class musicians who love their home, nothing more, nothing less.

The instrument played by Alexey Belkin, on the left, is a traditional Russian folk instrument called a Gusli.

Strangest thing,
I was innocently walking the path, when all of a sudden like, a riff entered my conscious stream of thought, out of deep memory, for no apparent reason.
Couldn't recall the tune, the lyrics, artist, song, era, just that riff.
Had to search for it later.
This is it.

Why the riff is actually genius.

The thing is, at the time I wasn't a fan, and grew tired of hearing it constantly overplayed on am/fm radio.
Now, having it explained today, I better understand the reason why the tune imprinted so indelibly.

Wow, dreaming into the future, a view of time and space.

A nice rendition, and why I believe she will hit it big.
A long way to go, making her dreams true.
That's how it works.

Bela Fleck's latest album, released just last week.

Very unique, very creative. Not for everybody, but to me he is one of the greatest musicians of all time.
