Ok, now that we all know where the logo comes from (for those who are still in the dark - check the rims on some Fieros), let me try to explain why I wanted another logo.

First of all, I liked the old logo. It wasn't a very professional one, but it had the official Fiero log in it as well as my own GT.

But I needed a much simpler logo for many different reason. Perhaps the biggest reason was I needed a logo that would be easily reproducable in any size.

I also wanted that the logo could be split in parts. The reason for this is that I noticed that some of you were using PFF banners when visiting shows, so other forum-members would recognize the logo. My idea was that it would be much cooler to create a small sticker of the left part of the logo (so without the text) that people could stick on the inside of their windshield or back-window. This would be very subtle but forum-members would recognize the logo instantly.

Excellent idea regarding the logo! I like it. (I thought you were going to tell us that GM was giving you a hard time, for some reason.)
I also like the somewhat subdued colors. Much easier on the eyes, and doesn't wake up the guy in the next cubicle.
Thanks for all you do!

And that's why Cliff is our leader: clever and wise.

Maybe I didn't recognize what the thing represented because it's much cleaner than the four I have. Throw a little grime on there and I woulda had it, I betchya.

So, any of you wiz kids made up some new window stickers yet? I'll take a handfull.

Cliff: this was the most time I've spent in the Announcements category. Now that this has been answered, does it mean we have to go back to the mall?

Cliff....

I think that is a GREAT idea!!!!! Although nobody here would recognize it.

...I've been trying to give out as many cards (that Darklord made) as I can, to get some people from Puyallup, Washington to be on the forum...

BTW~~~I like the new colors!! It will take some time to get used to that logo though(I don't have those kind of wheels). I like looking at a Fiero everytime I logged on, but CHANGE is good!

Yup. Commonly called the 14" Turbo wheel. Same thing that came on the '85 GT, too. Fieros only 14" wheel. (Don't feel bad. I didn't get it at 1st either although it's obvious now that I know what it is.)

Actually there is. I have IE 4.something and I can change colors on some sites.

Cliff,
I'm having trouble selecting a topic by clicking on it and then trying to get back to the menu page with the page-back arrow.
This has just become a problem. I have no idea what is causing it - server problems or the color scheme taking longer to download.
I have explorer 5.1 and a 56K connection. My ISP is Microsoft Network. Explorer after several seconds says that it failed to find the site.
When it says that it stops downloading and I have a partial download - not the whole thread.

There is no difference in download times because of the different colors. Also, the new logo is quite a bit smaller in filesize than the old one. So if anything, it should load faster.

The new server is also running perfectly. Server-load hasn't come over 1% yet. Actually, average is even below 0.1%. It could be that there are some problems with the transatlantic connection however. I noticed the exact same thing for the past week - but reversed. I hardly have been able to reach the MSN network....

It is probably the MSN network then. In addition, Saturday is probably a busy day for it.

Light dawns on marblehead.... Only Massachusetts people will actually get that one...

It took me several tries for the logo before I got it, probably as I don't own a Grand Am or Sunbird, either.... Is ther a Formula/GT version of this logo? ;-)

I love the sticker idea, and will gladly show my colors when my baby hits the road again.

It also looks like I'll have to redesign my 'tract.'

To a Kansan, that logo means "go low" - it looks like a tornado! See ya! {heads for basement}.

Sorry if someone already mentioned that - didn't take time to read all the posts.

I like it - looks wheel good, Cliff

I like the sticker idea. If no one makes any I may look into it

Something like this or you could cut out the blue parts and stick those on. What do you think?
