Yeah, that's been my whole season... 'always something' ...

I had wanted to get back to the dyno to finish tuning my top-end and bottom end...but I was in Vegas for a week and my coolant system upgrade didn't get done until that morning...currently my temp gauge isn't working... :/ ... so it's technically still not done...

I'm sure you've already seen it but here is the video.

I corrected my oversteer issue that I gave myself in the last event by adding almost 10# of pressure to my right front tire. That worked well. After getting my feet wet in the first round it looked like I was running 18 second flat laps. That EV6 GT, if he had handled turn 3 better, he could have won that whole event. He was staying too wide in 1 and 2 and as I'm slowing into 3, he just flew in there...

I need to get on a dyno and do some datalogging to find out what the issue was all of a sudden. Later when I left the track it was back to normal so I think it was a heat thing with the tuning. This was the best I've driven all season...perhaps all-time. I really wanted to race Gil in round 4 - I believe I would have gotten an edge off the line but he would have still won with the inside lane, but it would have been a good litmus test. Gil's car is almost at 700rwhp and that EV6 GT depending on the year is 576 or 641. I had a perfect launch against the EV6! Anything less and that race was lost. The Stinger surprised me, I had never heard of that car before until we were talking in the in-field in round 2. I guess I hadn't been paying attention to it the last few events. Once he upgrades his factory turbos he'll be really good. Another great launch against the stinger.

Jared in the Corvette that won is at 440 rwhp and 485 torque. We use the same dyno shop, actually I refer a lot of guys there. Anyway, on this track it's not all about hp as you can see. He beat Gil with driving skills. Not to say Gil doesn't have any, he is a veteran on this track and races in other events there as well. He's also worked on my car(s) before. That's just how it goes here. We're all friendly and help each other out. We just love racing and love the competition.

A side-story...

The car that Gil drives is owned by Gary A. Gary owns a machine shop in Pawtucket RI. I live there temporarily. Guess who did my DAWG mod back in 2013? Gary. So, from the horse's mouth, I know how much power that car puts down. It also just blew some seals and is going to need a rebuild...

It's a small world around here and any comments from the ittty-bitty-tranny peanut gallery about getting anyone throw off the track are laughable. We all work together and give noobies tips. We want to keep the sport going.
We are a tight-nit group but we always welcome new drivers.

Run your car not your mouth.
That's what we say around here.

In this case, the Tberg angle is covered by the truck on the field...
