Thanks for the help people. Any more ideas on the dieing out in gear? My tps isn't mounted yet still gotta drill bolt holes.

Well I double foot it and drove her 8 feet lol. Stalls when I put in gear and makes me think it's related to brakes since I gotta pump up the brakes to get firmness

If you have to pump the brakes to get a firm pedal there is air in the lines. Did you check the brake fluid levels? Sometimes if you are really lucky the air will come back up and out of the master cylinder if it only ran out of fluid. If the bubbles moved down the lines however then you have to bleed the wheel cylinders for sure.

Do not force your bleeders open. You can easily break them. I like the back and forth method but along with the drill bit inside.

There could be any number of engine related issues, but it's also possible the automatic tranny lockup solenoid isn't disengaging properly. Unplug it and see if this changes anything.

Without a TPS the ECM won't know when it is supposed to try to control the idle (throttle closed & vehicle not moving) or not. Don't worry about the idle too much until you get the TPS in working.

You prob can get a 2.8 throttle body from the MALL section of this forum for $20 shipped. Here is one on eBay for $25. Have them make sure the screws aren't frozen before you purchase it.

Coolant does pass through the throttle body but make it quick and you shouldn't have too much problem with lost coolant. Might be a whole lot easier than trying to get the screws out of aluminum.

Found another vacuum leak from a old clamp not doing its job on the booster hose. Fixed that. Still gotta pump brakes but that could be bad booster not holding pressure I suppose. Oh and rigged the tps sensor on so it could get some reading and she no longer dies going in gear. Now at least I can go in and out of garage and work on the body work. Thanks guys for the help. I

If the booster was bad the pedal would be rock hard and not move much, sounds like u need to bleed the brakes
