After owning an 87gt Fiero for 7 years, I sold her last August. It was a 4.9 caddy swapped auto. She was fun to drive but at the time I needed to get rid of her. However, as with most of us, the Fiero bug is biting me again. I'm thinking about getting back into it. I found an 86 GT 4 speed with 66k that is really tempting me. I'm thinking I want to get another GT but keep the 2.8 and add a widebody kit. Does Archie still make these? I know his website is still active but a friend told me he had retired.
Also, I heard this clip on youtube of a cammed 2.8 fiero and I think it sounds amazing!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4qvij2icBas I don't need a ton of hp, I just enjoy the zip and quickness of the car so I'm thinking about staying with the stock 2.8 and just adding a cam and muffler delete. I know the 2.8 is not worth upgrading extensively but any reason why I shouldn't go this route?
