Wanting to do a replica of my car from a 1/25 scale model. I have been trying to find another model with the 3800SC engine in it. I can not find a kit for a Buick, Grand Prix, Impala, Bonneville ect with that engine in it.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

You might try a hobby (model) shop. they have an assortment of modification kits, and I have seen complete engine kits. They also have packs that have a couple of styles of wheels. 1/24 and 1/25 scale are probably close enough to intermix if you have to. As a last resort, you might try finding a diecast car with that engine.

There are a bunch of resin caters that mold all kinds of stuff for model cars. Almost any type of engine, engine parts, ect. Some even make things to detail model car interiors, like bags of trash, little CD's to leave on seats, and my favorite, donut boxes for police cars.

I'll go through my bookmarks and post the links to a few. I don't know of any that make that motor, so I'll also link a good model car forum that should be able to help.

The forum:
http://www.modelcarsmag.com...ms/index.php?act=idx

Casters:
http://www.calnaga.com/index.html

I can't find the address but BNA Model Parts (or Model World) is another good source.

www.seltd.net is Scale Equipment Ltd who carry a lot of stuff.

I've bought parts from each of these and been happy with them. I lost my bookmarks due to a Firefox update and hope they come back when I restart my computer. I think a have a couple more in there.

This link is from the model forum that lists a few kit with the 3800 but not the S/C.

I think that would be a Buick 3.8 engine, not a 3800.

Crazy, one of the "Top 10 engines" and turning out impossible to find in a scale model. I went down the list of cars that came with the engine on Wikipedia, and searched eBay for a model for each of them... no luck so far.
May have to turn to some of the links above, or get far more creative.....

This site has three V-6 motors listed under the Chevy section. The block and valve covers on one looks close to a 3800. Look under the engine parts section and maybe You can find a blower for it. It looks like you may have mix some parts up to get what you want.

Revell made a Thunderbird SC model and a Cougar XR7 model in 1:25. They both had the M90 which is a bit different, but might be similar enough to look ok.

there is a buick model on ebay I think it is a 2007 model that has a 3400 in it add the m90 from the thread above and you have a winner. Course the buick model cannot be found under $100 so how much it is worth to you?
