Pardon my ignorance but who is Scott Walker and what did he win?
Scott Walker is (still) the Republican Governor of Wisconsin, who courted controversy when he and the Republican led State Legislature forced the state to tighten its belt, partially by limiting the collective bargaining rights of public unions. Most, if not all, on the public dole in WI now also had to pay a percentage (Far less than I do) of their health insurance coverage.
Unions collected over a million signatures and officials predicted as much as 119% voter turnout. As of right now, Walker enjoys a 19% lead over his Democratic challenger, with 37% of the precincts reporting.

Walker wins, the voters have spoken. Nuff said, now get back to governing and fiscal responsibility.
On this, President Obama should be concerned about. Folks ain't happy with spending more than is in the bank. Folks are tired of paying for those who won't do for themselves.
Yep, November should be interesting. What this says IMHO is, you can't spend other people's money on things they don't approve of for long. They will let you know how they feel about it.

Here is something that you may not know, but very relevant. Wisconsin was a force union state. But then Walker introduced and had pass, workers rights to not join a union, the membership in unions drop dramatically. By more than half with many union lodged losing more than 2/3rd.
The majority of people don't want unions.
I'm SO HAPPY the unions failed today.

Ed Schultz is a mouth piece for the far left progressives. I used to listen to him just so I'd know what the other side was doing and saying, He's just as much a cheerleader as the other guy the far right has. He steps in it just as much but, since most of the media is left of central, he doesn't get called on it. Does Schultz know something the rest of us don't, hard to say, I doubt it but as with everything else, only time will tell.

Nope. What this means is that many people who, in good faith, oppose Walker's policies did not think that his actions constitute legitimate basis for a recall. I agree.

Barretts concession speech was at least eloquent if not truly heartfelt and concillatory, and only a bit lacking on congratulations, which is not the usual custom. I give it a 7.
The weeping guy's remarks--not so much. He needs to grow up--a lot--and soon. And, I thought this was a recal election--in Wisconsin USA. I was totally unaware it was also a referendum on Europe being destroyed by a nuclear holocaust and that debacle bringing the USA to it's knees vis-a-vis The Postman. Just think, after more than 200 years, the USA totally destroyed just because of a gubernatorial election in --------------Wisconsin--Who knew? (At least he's in the proper state to get some cheese with his whine.)
It will be really interesting to see how the liberals and MSM will spin this election results tomorrow, tho I think we've already had a preview from just within this thread.
I've always found it ironic that in those times when taxpayers want to keep their $, it's considered greed, but when other people want to take that same $ FROM the taxpayer for themselves-----it's not considered greed. go figure.

Sadly, it appears only about 57% isnt as stupid as we thought. Though in reality its better than that, but a lot of people wont bite the hand that feeds them and I can see their thought process, wanting to support big money unions because that means more money for them. So its probably 22/21% stupid vs unethical, not sure if thats an improvement...
