Maker's Mark is my usual but I'm always trying new ones. My current taste test bottle is Evan Williams. It's good but I find I'm not much of a sour mash fan. Evan Williams is better than the more famous sour mash, Jack Daniel's though.

I am not a fan of American whiskeys. I had some Jameson 12 year I bought in memory of my dead buddy last Thanksgiving. I prefer the 18 year though. Crown, I've had all but the oak cask. The XR is good, but not enough to justify the extra price tag, especially if you compare it to Jameson, which I prefer. I had some Dewar's a while ago, that I thought was really decent. I am the thinking about getting into scotch. I had some Glen Marangy 12 and thought it was glorious.

I've developed a real taste for that stuff the past year or so....I was always a Wild Turkey or Jim Beam fan, but I was given a bottle of Makers Mark and the 1st taste was like "hoolleeyyy...SHEET, I just heard angels sing !!"

Now---Yankee Jim beer....somebody recommended it to me today so I grabbed a 6-pack on the way home...WHAT were ya's thinking?, and WHO pizzed in the can ??????

In response to the title....
