Ditto.
Another celebrity man cheating on his celebrity wife receiving celebrity coverage for their marriage problems.
*YAWN*
As for the preferential treatment comments, even celebrities have Constitutional rights. As far as I know, the police have not served any warrants or filed any charges against him. They haven't even issued a traffic citation. So he is under no legal obligation to surrender any information to anyone. And if that information happens to incriminate him, then not even a judge can order him to talk (5th Amendment right).

Ya, while he may have many lawyers on retainer, I heard that he hired this one just for this accident.
Another thing that just came out, is that window on BOTH sides in the rear doors were broken out. That dont make sense either if your trying to open a locked car door. All of his keeping his mouth shut is just adding to the problem. Just come out and say my wife and I had an arguement and I got pizzed off and took off having an accident and everyone would forget about it. Like already said the 'cover up' is getting far worse than the original act. No one would give a crap if hed had a fight with his wife...everyone does. Hes also cancelled his golf tournament appearance at his own tourny because of his injuries....a few bruises and a cut lip? We all know hes not going because he just dont want questioned in public.
Roger, most of us don't give a crap now--and never did.
But yeah-he hired a special attorney. I've heard, it's The Texas Hammer. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K3IhBf1rWx8 When ya absolutely positively have to be exhonerated overnite...

Hehe. The Police .... geese, Hey officers... tell us something we already didn't know. "Patrol officers said Woods was at fault in the Nov. 27 accident and it would issue him a citation — but nothing more. Officers said there was "insufficient evidence" to subpoena Woods' medical records."
I'm glad Woods didn't tell them crap!

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – Tiger Woods said he let his family down with "transgressions" he regrets "with all of my heart," and that he will deal with his personal life behind closed doors. His statement Wednesday follows a cover story in Us Weekly magazine that reports a Los Angeles cocktail waitress claims she had a 31-month affair with the world's No. 1 golfer. "I have not been true to my values and the behavior my family deserves," Woods said on his Web site. "I am not without faults and I am far short of perfect. I am dealing with my behavior and personal failings behind closed doors with my family. Those feelings should be shared by us alone." Woods did not offer details of any alleged relationship. "I have let my family down and I regret those transgressions with all of my heart," he said. "I will strive to be a better person and the husband and father that my family deserves," Woods said. "For all of those who have supported me over the years, I offer my profound apology." The cocktail waitress, Jaimee Grubbs, told the magazine she met Woods at a Las Vegas nightclub the week after the 2007 Masters — two months before Woods' wife, Elin, gave birth to their first child. Grubbs claims to have proof in 300 text messages. About three hours before Woods' statement, the magazine published what it said was a voicemail — provided by Grubbs — that Woods left on her phone on Nov. 24, three days before his middle-of-the-night car crash outside his home in Florida. Woods has been subjected to more media headlines during the last week than when he first won the Masters in 1997 and set off the first wave of Tigermania. He has spoken only three times through his Web site, although this was his longest posting. "Although I am a well-known person and have made my career as a professional athlete, I have been dismayed to realize the full extent of what tabloid scrutiny really means," Woods said. "For the last week, my family and I have been hounded to expose intimate details of our personal lives." And he continued to say accounts that physical violence played a role in his Friday morning car crash were "utterly false and malicious." "Elin has always done more to support our family and shown more grace than anyone could possibly expect," he wrote. His statement came one day after the Florida Highway Patrol closed its investigation into the accident — without Woods ever speaking to state troopers. He was charged with careless driving, which carries a $164 fine and four points on his driving record. The story soon shifted from a patrol investigation to sordid allegations into his personal life. In the voicemail released by the magazine, a man says to Grubbs: "Hey, it's, uh, it's Tiger. I need you to do me a huge favor. Um, can you please, uh, take your name off your phone. My wife went through my phone. And, uh, may be calling you. If you can, please take your name off that and, um, and what do you call it just have it as a number on the voicemail, just have it as your telephone number. That's it, OK. You gotta do this for me. Huge. Quickly. All right. Bye."
Actually, 2 more gals have come forward. One kept over 300 text and voice messages from him. Other says theyve had an affair for last few months. The one intially reported is supposed to have a newsconference today, prob admitting she lied and fessing up. Ill expect to see more start leaking out of the woodwork. Shows hes just as bad as other sports stars and not the goody goody he wanted to appear to be.
Now that truth is coming out, Im satisfied and have no further interest myself. He should have said this all the day after and no one would have cared in the first place.

I'm not saying they are lying, but keep in mind how many "crazies" come out of the woodwork when anything can give them publicity.
Just keep in mind how many people call in and "confess" to murders when their is a manhunt going on.

Im sure some will be liars, but hard to lie about it with his voice and cell number on her phone. He also knew that, and fessed up soon as he found out she was bustin him. Out of 300 messages, apparently according to her some are sexting messages with them sending each other body part pics. Thats really hard to disclaim,

Latest is neighbor who called police after the accident says Tiger bounced off hedges and median curbs and bushes back and forth on both sides of the road before he ran over his fire hydrant and tree. He also said he was not 'unconcious' lying by the wrecked car...he was asleep and snoring.
And apparently now hes offered his wife 50 million dollars to stay married for at least 2 more years....

I think they are also offering hush money to some of the women coming out about him. Maybe he was sleep driving. He is on Ambien and there have been many instances of this occurring.

Heard on the radio that Tiger paid one of the chicks 1 million to keep quiet. She cancelled her press conference scheduled for today. In addition, his wife, has renegotiated her prenup. It originally said she was to be paid 10 million if they stayed married 10 years. She now gets 20 million for 7 years. Sounds like Ellen's new name should be the negotiator. The waitress was going to call herself the seperator, but CliffW already laid claim to that name. Seriously though, why pay all this money to these woman. Let them talk. There will be damage short term, but he will recover just like Kobe and numerous others have. For someone as famous as him there will be other woman. He could probably benefit from being honest. He needs to worry about eternity, not his feeble empire and image.

I don't understand the public's belief that because someone is a celebrity they are somehow entitled to the private details of the celebrity's life. Tiger will likely loose millions in lost endorsements, not to mention any domestic settlements, because it has damaged his image as a role model.
Personally, the only thing I want from Tiger Woods is to watch him play golf. If he broke the law, let him be prosecuted. If he cheated on his wife, that's between them and their lawyers.
I didn't care who Tiger Woods was sleeping with before he shanked his Escalade into the trees.

20 million lol that's the equivalent of me giving my wife 20 bucks in a divorce. That's pennies to a billionaire. I'm stunned that's all it is.

What news said this afternoon was 5 million if she just stayed married for no set amount of time, if she stays the full term layed out in their prenups, shes gets 50-55 million. Still nothing to someone who has a billion.

exactly..he's averaging 100 million a year in endorsements! lol and I don't think He's lose a single one of those because of this. I don't think the vast majority of people are going to not buy a tiger woods product because he cheated on his wife.

Why would they? They liked Bill Clinton.. people of power and money doing immoral acts is just fine in the eyes of the masses. It makes them feel better about themselves and justifies whatever immoral things they feel like doing or have already done.

Im not intentionally watching now like I was, but you cant get away from it if you watch any news.
I just had another thought after the evening news talked again about him. Hes renegotiating their prenups to pay her a $5 million signing 'fee', then so much more for each year she stays married up to and estimated 75 million total. Now, say I paid $100,000 to some super model to stay with me a year, then promised to pay her another $100,000 every year she stayed with me...wouldnt that be prostitution ? Hes doing the same thing and calling her his 'wife' when in reality shes just a higher priced prostitute. They just happen to be legally 'married', but it would seem obvious its for financial gain, not love. So if I take my hooker model to the county court house to get a marriage license, she becomes my wife. His wife has now become the highest paid hooker in history the way I see it.

From an e-mail I received, most likely not true. Surely not politically correct but then I am not that kinda guy, .
Al Sharpton Blasts Tiger Woods for Lack of Mistress Diversity
The Rev. Al Sharpton held a press conference today to blast Tiger Woods for the lack of diversity among his mistresses. Sharpton claims that the lack of African-American women among Woods’ harem will have a negative affect on the black community, specifically young black girls. “Why is it that a man who calls himself black can’t bring himself to cheat on his wife with a black woman?” said Sharpton, speaking to a group of supporters in Harlem. “What does it say to young black girls everywhere when you pass them over? Shame on you, Tiger Woods. What would your daddy say?” Sharpton, who has long championed taking black women as mistresses, said that today’s black athletes need to stop neglecting black women when it comes to extramarital affairs, and should follow the examples of positive black role models such as Jesse Jackson and Martin Luther King, Jr., both of whom cheated on their wives with black women. Sharpton also stressed that cheating with African-American women would help the black community financially by giving black girls the chance to sell their stories to tabloids and gossip magazines. Added Sharpton, “I’m not asking you to not cheat on your wives, I’m just asking you to give back to your own community.”

Accenture, the giant consulting firm, ended its six-year marketing relationship with Tiger Woods on Sunday, showing once again that in advertising as in sports, there are no sure things.

I haven't kept up with it much, but from what I have heard/read, the big question I have is--how the heck did he ever think he could keep THAT MANY affairs under wraps for very long?
He was (is?) a great golfer, (and I don't even like golf), married to a beautiful woman, had everything going for him and ruined it all for some p-tang.

I'll answer that one, MJ Money corrupts. Money empowers. Money buys everything you could want...and then life becomes boring. Deviation, infidelity, perversion...all become far easier, and MUCH more tempting, when you own everything NORMAL in Life. Because the desire to be rich becomes an addiction, rich people just simply HAVE to become richer, just as a junkie has to take more and more drugs each time. And BECAUSE they are rich, they believe they can buy everybody off. And because those people they can buy off have exactly the same lack of morals, same lust for money, and same desire to be rich, then they have a tiger by the tail (no pun intended )If they can extort 5 million from him by threatening to tell all....then why should they settle for half a million...or a million...or even two million which he offers to keep them quiet? THAT is why he couldn't keep the lid on it all. The money available was far more tempting than the money offered He didn't understand that,IMHO. Nick

Curlie..if you don't mind, I'll fix that for ya .. it attracts the WRONG kind of women ...and Men never learn how to spot that once they HAVE the money Nick Edit to add...and then, thinking along those lines, and extending those thoughts... ...perhaps they desire the riches to ATTRACT those types of woman, because those types of women are the ones they desire...ummm...nah. I'm gonna stop that line of thought right here

As a former member of the media i can tell you that most people really don't give a crap and the media is fueling the entire episode. Bottom line tiger was an idiot and he got caught. So be it. Let he and his wife work it out, get divorced, or whatever they need to do.
Tiger haters are eating this up. Meanwhile the kiss and tell, attention seeking, bimbos who are coming out of the woodwork are almost as bad as Tiger. If you are banging the dude why turn and confess unless you were looking for some kind of pay day, book deal, reality show, or appearance fees.
The sponsors are a joke. Some are just jumping ship to save face, but in 6 months to a year they will be banging on his door asking for forgiveness and offering even more money than he is making now. Kobe can tell you how that works !
Today it is Tiger, tommorow it will be somebody else making headlines. News, especially scandals have a very short shelf life as there is always the next big mess.
It's easy to say what one wouldn't do unless you were in his shoes. Imagine yourself with all the money and fame in the world, anything you could ever want to buy is yours, and you have nearly every beautiful chick in the world ready to drop their panties just to be with you at your whim.
Given those circumstances how many of us would fail ?? Not making excuses for him because he was wrong, but just being real about the situation.

I think there are some who are truly good. In their hearts, regardless or wealth, or lack thereof. I just don't claim to be able to know, at sight, which is one, or the other. I don't know, one way or the other, about Mr. Woods.
To have that much money, and everyone around you wanting some of it, the gods alone know what an anchor one must have.
I have my anchor, and by fortune we've not be tested by the yacht, but by where the anchor lay. She is the love of my life.
Whatever little we have built, I know that if it ever came to us parting, I would walk away, and begin again. I owe her far, far more than that.
I've never been tested in the sense that Mr. Woods has, for I have far less to lose. Mr. Woods is what he is. I don't know whether he's a jerk (well, ok after about ## 4 or 5, I began to have doubts), or whether she's a cast-iron b****. I really don't care. All the money in the world can't change what he, or she is, or are.
But I would not trade my life, nor my love, for his. We've not be tested by the yacht, but by where the anchor lay. No amount of money can buy that.
