A comprehensive list

=================================

Hellooooo? Long term, non-governmental, non-subsidized jobs...are you IN THERE?!?

Actually, your money, you kids money, your grandkids' money, and your great grandkids money will be going to one thing :

INTEREST ON THE NATIONAL DEBT.

I don't know how they're calculating the "true" cost of this garbage... but the only accurate way would be to model it as an interest-only loan. And we'll be borrowing the money to pay the interest; so that'll add to the principle each year from now on.

I'm glad I don't have kids.

we can just as easily just dispose of property rights, and delve back into chaos, and noone but the hardest of men will be rich, and only until someone kills them, and takes their place. we prefer civilization. but, if civilization wont work - so be it.

Wow.

So let's trust a huge, inefficient bureaucracy that can't even handle the digital tv transition to micromanage our lives.

we - as in "we the people"
allow - as in create an environment of accepted rules, ownerships & overall attempt at a fair lifestyle

lol - ya know.....
and - well....the bureaucracy handled the transition just fine.....its the viewers & the broadcasters which failed.....
tho - why it matters to the g'ment - I will never know......

well, take that back...I do know...I just dont like the reasons.....which - of course - are purely a matter of a pocket which needed lining.....

If it was handled so well why wasn't there enough money? Could be because it wasn't handled so well.

Enough money for the government coupons. How can you say that it worked when you don't even have a clue about it. If you are going to say that it worked shouldn't you at least be sure it worked well? The fact is that the feds didn't handle it well. The broadcasters are all more then ready. So when you say they failed you are yet again wrong. The viewers are mostly ready despite not getting the coupons from the feds who weren't ready with enough funding.

well, to start with - its an additional $676
and, next - even the overall total - this money aint gonna get anyone anywhere.
we cant jail all the unemployed. because that will be the other option. they will need food. and, we do not allow people to "live off the land".

until we find a way to dispose of people - consessions will need to be made. there just is no need for everyone, in fact, we dont even need 1/2 the population. everyone cant be a manager. we need garbage collectors.

if you think this is such a wonderful thing for these folk, and such a burden for you - why dont you join them? hey - or you could go for the whole bit, and become an illegal alien, so you get all kinds of free stuff.

Get rid of people ? No. But it sure wouldn't hurt to require that 5-year birth control device be kept 'installed' in any female recipients prior to any public assistance checks being cut.

Yes, but as far as your definition goes, WE ALLOW EVERYONE to be rich.

Not sure what you mean by a "fair" lifestyle. We have laws but life is not now nor has it ever been guaranteed to be "fair."

And that's where they're going wrong, IMO.
It's a nice idea, but it doesn't work in reality and only harms everyone; those who are self sufficient by taxing them more than necessary and those who aren't it tends to make them more dependent on social programs. When you give someone something for nothing, you take away their incentive to work for something more.

I saw a bumper sticker today. It said something like "Annoy a Liberal; Get a Job and Pay Your Bills"... on a New Japanese car.

Remember all those jobs Obama said Caterpillar would be able to save or create if the porkulus bill went through? They just laid a bunch of people off. Thank you Obama for your hope!
