The arguement is whether or not you can utter two consecutive sentences in a row without contracdicting yourself, decending into a drug induced rant in Klingon, or calling someone names as a defense to having been caught once again in an embarrassing and obvious mistake.

Oh? So this thread is about me? :think" Okay... what about my freedom of speech be it in Klingon or name calling or even contradictory?
I cant be Contradictory? I believe I can. As far as mistakes there would have to be another of some intelligence to pass that judgment. You aint he.

Should the Senate censure a private citizen of their free speech rights?
Bill n Todd.. please refrain
but I've brought up recent congresscritters and the like with full audio and have less return than you two sniping at each other.
Bill.. playing devils advocate will only get you so far.. Todd.. why buy into his game?
There was a real debate here.. about the Senate and how it acts towards regular citizens.. you two have muddied it up with your personal lil stink. Now.. really.. the two of you.. simma the hell down.. I could care less about Todd's Jefferson ties, or Bill's anti Todd free cheese rants.

True but only if those who argue against me choose to resort to childlike name calling.
However, there are people who dont care about Rush, there are people who dont care that the senate censured him and even those who believe that rush was not a "private citizen" calling into a show but is a show host who has a responsibility to maintain a "higher standard" when voicing opinions.
I like the fact that Mr. Reid mentioned the fact that 3,808 Americans have been killed in Iraq, and another 28,009 have been wounded. 160,000 other awoke on foreign sand far from home, to face danger and uncertainty of another day at war....
Did he say war?
I've posted similar facts about this "war" and have also met similar opposition.... and I'm not even a democrat, just accused of being a democrat.
Congress voted to give the king the power to protract this war and now they are crying the blues about death and destruction. I find that to be hard to swallow since thats exactly what they knew was going to happen.
As far as freedom of speech. Sure you can say anything you want but the price you pay will almost always be in red and there is always someone who will try to make you bleed for it for one reason or another.

Kind of backed fired on Sen. Reed. Now he's trying to take some of the credit for the money being rasied. I'll give him credit for writing the B/S letter but, his intent and what has actually occurred are two totally different things. We're talking major blow hard here.
Edited to add: And, Mr. Limbaugh is matching the winning bid in his contribution to the charity. ------------------ Ron

It's not really "buying his game". I am just having fun. It's part of the darker side of my nature to enjoy watching a fool self destruct in front of an audience.
Let's see now, so far we have people for fair over free speech and wanting to decide how much is too much that somebody in the free market can/should make, hmmmm, now what do we call that?

Harry Reid is now trying to take some credit for the results of the auction! What a weasle!
“Harry Reid in a speech on the Senate floor at 12 noon today, a little over an hour ago, attempted to hone in on all this and take some credit for it, claiming that he and I had buried the hatchet, or implying that that had been the case, and then kept using the pronoun "we" in discussing how good this was, the money going to the Marine Corps-Law Enforcement Foundation,” Limbaugh said on his show.
To my knowledge Reid has yet to apologize to Limbaugh, nor have any of the other 40 senators who were stupid enough to sign this American Version of the Gleichschaltung. Additionally, Reid had NOTHING to do with the marketing or auctioning of this historic attempt by the Senate to suspend the Constitution but in a speech yesterday he couldn't take enough credit for the results.
Unbeleivable!

Oh, absolutely. That bastard Reid will sell our troops down the Euphrates river for his own political gain, saying that we've already lost the war, then criticize Limabagh for insulting the very troops that Reid undermines, then takes credit for the money raised from his attempt to stop free speech? All this from the one of the LEADING DEMOCRATS. I don't trust Democrats, and this seems competely indicative of their underhanded tactics for the sole purpose of gaining power. They've proven that there isn't anyone or anything they won't sell out to win. Nope, I'm not surprised at all.

Well, It has been a tough morning but I managed to get in and edit the Wikipedia entry after liberal freaks managed to contort it beyond belief. I had to do a lot of research on the fly just to keep the hounds at bay. But it looks at least like an accurate fact by fact accounting now.

<snip> Reid is still slightly more well-liked than Gov. Jim Gibbons. Both the Democratic senator and the Republican governor are less favorably viewed than President Bush.<snip>
hehehehe, thanks for the link.
Wish he was running sooner. I think all 40 of those idiots are going to be in trouble when reelection time rolls around. In fact I think the whole D party is going to be in trouble. I stated some time ago I think the D party is doomed and will eventually fade away and we will see the debate between ideals shift more to republican vs. libertarian ideals. Well I can hope can't I ?.

Well If Uranus can keep a dead thread about nothing alive I can sure as hell keep an important one about our freedom of speech alive. Denounce DNC attempts to supress freedom of speech! Let Congress know that the Fairness Doctrine is unconstititional! Fight fascism!
