Interesting. Where was mommy when her daughter was out driving drunk, and doing drugs? Hopefully, this will scare the crap out of Paris and she'll straighten up. Kind fo the idea of jail I thought. Make it an undesireable place to go so you don't want to end up there. I thought it was supposed to be a punishment and a deterent. What was she expecting? A day at a spa?

Ive just got a tv on either court tv or CNN all day. I took a few off to do some things to my new Caravan. Got a vette restore job coming next week. So pretty much screwing off all weekend except for Hooters Pro Cup race tommorrow at Mansfield. Anyone want to go, were leaving Columbus around 2 ish.

Let's go back a little further than this series of events, where was her mother when she was being raised and learning how life really is? This is exactly why good parents rear their children to be responsible for their actions as children.

Since no reporters were allowed in the courtroom, it seems now with the latest info that he ordered her to serve the entire 45 days minus what she has already served. I guess he figured she nixed the 23 day deal she already got.

Once is a stupid mistake.. and hopefully by the grace of "insert diety) nobody was killed or injured.. More than once, the punishment should be severe.

Goes back to sparing the rod and spoiling the child. Or actually holding a child responsible for his or her actions. Though I'm not in a postion to really know, I'm betting she has never been held responsible for her actions. Pretty tough to have to grow up overnight and in a jail cell. No sympathy here.

What's pathetic is that this is a thread. It made national news. People care. The most pathetic thing of all is people are mad because she isn't going to jail. Im glad she isn't going, less $$$ to throw out the window. Do you really want your tax dollars going towards another obvious waste of space? 3 hots and a cot, plus counseling?
How about since she is so rich have her actually PAY A FINE. Why do they let rich people get off and poor people pay out the ass? If they actually hurt the pocket book I bet they wouldn't act like a total embarrassment.

It's weird, but if you're actually looking to punish and correct problems.. Hit them where it hurts.
You could levy a 20k fine on Paris and she'd run it on her Visa before she left the courthouse. Nail a regular joe with a 5k fine.. and ya.. I think most will get the point. On the reverse.. lots of ppl could take some vacation time, or those with nothing to lose.. spending time in jail is doable.. they're not losing anything. The "elite" in this country are used to doing as they please when they please. You lock them up in jail you're actually punishing them.

Paying a fine is of no benefit. ANY fine that would be legal and stand up in court would be daily pocket change for her. Thats her problem now, ANYTHING she does...either mommy or money bail her out. She is in jail and I hope she spends the whole time there...maybe even some extra time for bad behavior (ie lying on the floor and throwing a hissy fit). You really think a $1000 fine would bother someone who buys a $10,000 purse for her dog. I personally think shes milking the ordeal for free press. Reporters point out she had the windows rolled down when she showed up for jail just so everyone could see her. Then yesterday, shes giving mom n dad big hugs before headed for jail in the middle of the yard, when she could have done that inside. Ya shes bawling some, but making sure shes seen a lot. Shes the total definition of a spoiled little brat you want to smack in the side of the head everytime you see her.

I didn't say what the fine is did I You assume I meant a fine that average Joe has to pay. The law needs to be based on what you are worth, and if you have the means to pay it. She has the $$$ so now lets make her suffer. Yes, a 1000.00 fine is no big deal to her. Id say 10% of what you are worth is a good start. Lets see how much $$$ you have Hollywood trash.
Oh course she is an attention whore and any other kind of whore obviously.
She is totally worthless........but she is an heir to a someone who actually worked for what he has. People kiss her a$$ for it..................yeah sounds like America.

Thats why I put in the part about legal and standing up in court. I dont think a judge could get away with fineing her $5,000,000 for a probation violation of her drivers licence. It would have to be similar to what the average guy would get.

For a series of meetings this past week I was put up in a casino resort in another part of the state. On the TV guide channel there was a show that was repeated several times a day where people, obviously paid, were talking about how smart she really was. That she was really a financial genius. That this "whiny" rich girl attitude is only a character played. Well, someone nominate her for an OSCAR!
But common, we all knew this would happen.

apparently Paris has decided not to appeal her sentence and says she will just finish the 45 days quietly...this is a good expience for her i think seeing as how she has lived in a plastic bubble of unreality her whole pampered life
Lateral thinking( )....I wonder how she would have coped with a life sentence in prison, if she had killed or maimed someone on her 'less than sober 'journey through town? Perhaps she would have been turning to Mummy and mouthing 'I HATE you' in court, when reality finally hit her..Spoiling a child rotten is about as much as a crime against her as the other end of the spectrum, and equally as damaging to the child. just a different type of damage done...
