My wife and I will be coming down after work tomorrow. Anyone going to be in the Austin are around 5:30 6ish? We can cruise down together. Not sure what time we will make it down but would be up for seeing FF5.

We, my grandson and I will be there at either time, we will buy tickets at the counter. My question is what showing are we shooting for, either is fine with me. Mike Parker

As do I. Myself, I would like to drop by and visit. Hard to do in a movie theater. Tomorrow is the wife's birthday, and I also have many things that I need to do. I won't be able to participate throughout the Round Up. Fact is, my Fiero is not legal. The wife wanted to know why I wasn't gonna go on the cruise and I told her it was not legal. She informed me that it is insured, . Had I known ... heh.
Movie ended 9:20 PM. Most got to Taco Cabana near ten. Long Friday, early Saturday show and shine. I imagine they are just getting back from the cruise or are already at Canyon Lake having BBQ. Internet access might not be available. Heh, I was checking too.

I was hoping to see some pics by now. I regret that I was not able to make it this year, but I did have Proud-2 make a cameo appearance at the Bud Classic in Houston. My show car is still in hibernation and not street legal, so there is no point in bringing it.
Hope to see you all soon.

My pics are on my phone and will have to wait until I get home.
Had a great time, Rides & Coffee was good, the cruise was freaking AWESOME, and dinner was very tasty. Big thanks goes out SATX peeps for making this Round-Up a fantastic event. Can't wait until next year.
Ok, I took some pics but my phone does not take the best pictures in bright day light.
First lineup
First stop in Wimberly
Parked at the distillery
Copper tanks from the tour of the distillery
Barrels stored in the barn
Of course my car had to be the one that broke down. This was the longest amount of time I have had it on the road and all in all she did pretty well. I am new to working on Fiero's so I let the experts take control of the situation. Thank you guys for all of your help and ideas on what the possible problem is
This weekend was one of the most fun times I have ever had behind the wheel of a car. Can't wait for the next get together wherever it is.

NTFC trip to SATX for AAFO-14 started out in the morning, only 3 cars made this leg of the trip (2 others got to SATX in the evening). taking the back roads... our first stop at the Billy the Kid museum in Hico. Was told to us that he did not get killed by Pat Garrett but lived his life out til a very old age as Brushy Bill Roberts. a new outlaw in town best known in these parts at Blakey Weird Beard. thanks Blake for taking us on these side trips it makes traveling so much better and i get to learn a lot of new things about Texas.
Started out Saturday at Rides and Coffee, lots and lots of cool cars. Of course i took pics of the best cars there.
still one of my favorite Fieros i like to see, might have to make a NTFC version.
Onto the cruise (sorry for the inside the car shots) it was just me doing the driving and taking pictures.
After the customary sunday breakfast at Taco Cabana the NTFC folks headed home. when come down we usually take a westerly route (west of I-35W), this time we wanted to taste the world famous BBQ joints in Lockhart, so we took an easterly route. Warning: FM 20 is under construction and became dirt road then a deep dirt road, who says Fieros can't road rally. a casualty of the dirt road, a flat tire south of Lockhart. Bellies full of BBQ and a new tire Heading back to NTFC land...
Until next year...
edit: this pic is for Stephen, enjoy...

I had the GoPro angled too far down for any real usable video. I got a little bit of when I was following Mark, but I will have to edit it and see how much footage I actually got...

What was the final count? 10 Fieros? The economy is really taking it's toll on car shows I suppose as the Round-up typically draws 25-30. I'm sorry I couldn't make it, but it was a scheduling conflict for me.

I talked to the owner and found out it was a V8 Archie install.

Unfortunately, any time you use an adapter plate the engine is going to be pushed to the right. How is your LS4 swap coming along?

Not sure it is the economy. There were a number of cars missing as they were down for repairs/upgrades and a number of people with work/family conflicts. I expect attendence will rebound next year.
For us it was two things that stopped us from making it... 1.We are stationed in Florida – it’s a long drive home 2.My car is at Whodeanie’s – yee haw
The good news we will be stationed closer next year and my car might be done in time for the Round Up. If it’s not ready I am still coming to the round up in the Solstice Coupe

There were a few more earlier on in the route. A few dropped off and met up with us later for dinner. I Think we had 15 total but not positive.
Thanks to everyone who came. I agree with Scott there was a combination of personal and vehicle issues that caused the attendance to be down. I had a double reason for DARKWING not being there. 1. I am doing some interior upgrades with seats, dash, headlinner, carpet and on and on. 2. I wanted my Grandson, John Michael, who just turned 17, to get to cruise with his 87 GT. I got to navigate and had a blast. He realy enjoyed the whole weekend and a special thanks to all you guys and your gals who treated him so nice. It is the people within this Fiero thing that realy sets in a part from other groups. Thanks again.

I had noticed that your DARKWING was not in the pictures… now I no longer have to wonder why

Not always.....scrapped the LS4 swap sometime back....
I like the idea of the LS4 because of the no adapter plate needed, but the lack of a manual solution, and the lack of many people completing the auto makes it less attractive to me.
Thanks go out to all whom attended and helped with this years event. Although the numbers were small, the fun factor was as high as ever! We sure did miss some of our long time friends that normally make this event, but had the chance to make new friends with a couple of first time attendees. Perhaps next years event will be able to bring us ALL together once again!

I have some pics to post... but it may be next week before I can get around to sizing them.
Many thanks to AAFO for another great edition of the Round-Up. I hope you don't get discouraged with the lower turn out or blame the changes in format for that. NTFC had several more that wanted to come... we have some members out of work right now, recent surgery, and a few that have cars in various stages of restoration. I know they will look forward to next year.
Whoever picked the hotel hit a home run. It was nicer, cheaper, and very convenient.
I liked the Friday show and Cabana thing. I was really pumped that Cliff made an appearance.
The Cars and Coffee was GREAT!... though I got nervous backing in between two vipers with a very tricky clutch. Walking through the show gave a lot of variety... and I thought was good exposure for AAFO. I'd like to have talked more to the guy with the LS3 Fiero. That was a very nice car.
Lunch stop went pretty well. I think I am going to buy Jennifer some earings I spotted in one of the booths. Cruise was awesome. I enjoyed the time with my new friend and co-pilot, Glenn.
My favorite part? the distillery My favorite scenery?... the saleslady at the distillery
Great food and hospitality that evening at the Andersons. Thank you to Scott and Ellen for doing that. It wears you out to prep, feed, and clean up after an army of people. Y'all did real good.
My number count was as follows:
14 Fiero's at the show. 8 from AAFO, 5 NTFC, 1 from Austin area. 12 Fiero's on the cruise. Scotty's Fiero being my favorite. We had Bryan and Tim Hodges on a truck/sportbike We got to see Ken & Heidi for supper, them bringing out my first viewing of a Volt. Congrats on your car guys. 1 break down... well how about a temporary rolling stop delay and 1 flat tire the next day 2 clutch stalls by yours truly 0 accidents 2 of 4 BBQ joints hit in Lockhart
Great shirts Rob!... thanks AAFO for all who put forth the effort to make the show a success!
