Cover up these ac lines. Moisture gets in the system in this weather really quickly and then you will have to replace the dryer when you reinstall the freon. Use a sandrich wrap and rubber bands..it will help to keep the water out

Yes, you can use the 2.8 one, but if you use the 3.4 one, make sure you transfer the Timing mark from the 2.8 balancer to the 3.4 balancer.
Thanks Matt Korey

I hope you drilled and tapped the starter mounting holes on the opposite side before you put all the top end stuff on that block.... I didn't note that you mentiond it anywhere, and that engine is awfully tuff to spin over and get it rightside up again on that stand now...Just saying....

No not yet but it actually isn't too hard to get it rightside up imo.I've already done it one time with the top end stuff on and I didn't have a problem

Looks like you decided to go the 'factory look' route. Which injectors did you end up using?
I used the stock Fiero injectors for right now I'll probably upgrade later but I want to get my car put back together since I'm planning on taking it out to some local shows once it's up running

Got the motor back in Friday and yesterday I finished putting all the hoses and the exhaust back on the car. It may be running tomorrow if everything goes right. Korey

Wow I haven't been on here in awhile mainly because I've been busy with the gf,school and other projects.Anyway as some of you may or may not know the gold cars 2.8 blew a headgasket and destroyed the bearings in it but the block is fine and we think the crank is fine also. The 4spd out of the gold car went into my 86 SC so I have one running and driving right now . The 3.4 which was planned to go into the gold car will be installed into my black 86 GT. As for the gold car it has no motor/trans in it, the 2.8 is on the stand and will be getting rebuilt, I'm also buying a rebuilt 4spd from John in Asheboro. The gold car will be going back to stock but I intend to make improvements it will be getting pretty much all poly bushings, brake lines will be getting replaced, pretty much new suspension, new hoses, new paint, already got the wheels I want (the GT lace wheels) so one thing is done. I will try to post pics soon Korey

Greg do you know where I can get POR15 at? I saw that Kento was doing powdercoating I may see if I can get him to do some parts
I have found it is easiest just to order it directly. Can't seem to find it any cheaper...and their shipping charges are real good ($11 to ship a gallon of Metal Ready and 2 quarts of paint). http://www.por15.com

Just remember....just like any paint, most of the results are determined by the prep. POR15 has some really specific prep instructions, and if they are followed it is real easy to get good results even with a brush.
