So once again im planning another Fiero Cruise. Im thinking middle or end of August. Please let me know what would be a good sat. We will be touring the Pennsylvania Dutch countryside. Alot of winding roads and great scenery. We will be going through several covered bridges and a stop at Crystal Caves in Kutztown to cool us down. I have a suprise ending but you have to wait. Any ideas on food? So let me know if your interested and ideas. Thanks Pete Bransky

Pete, is that the trip you were telling me about. If so I want badly to go and will try to get some of the other Capital City Fiero crew together for a run out there.

Count me in Pete! That would be awesome if we made it a big gathering. Maybe it's too soon, but if you do make it a couple-day event, possibly the weekend of the Quakertown show? Let me know if I can help in any way!

Pete, if this is before August 20th I might be able to make this. And if I can get my poly and balljoints in on time, I may be able to do it in a Fiero. Unfortunately, I have my annual training after the 20th.

I might possibly be able to make it if I can manage to have my engine swap running and tuned by then- but I doubt it unless things go smoothly, which on a Fiero they seldom do =/.

I'd love to make the cruise in late August but we will be away the weekend of the 20th. The following weekend is open. The first two weeks are out as I'm stil involved in my intercooler installation and it may not be completed by then. I assume that this cruise is an overnight.

For saturday we will go to Crystal Cave in Kutztown. I dont want to do any registration fees so what if we each take care of our own tab? The cave will cost 7bucks for adults 550 for kids and they have a gift shop mini golf and alot kid activities.

If you do the later weekend, I can do all three days. The earlier weekend I have to work Sunday. I'd also be willing to have everyone over for a cookout type meal one evening one night if that fits the plan. My yard is a great spot to camp if you're into tenting, too.
Cheers, Rich

Oil leak that just wont quit, Im am close to selling it for good and say goodbye to Fieros. Since april it has been constant pain and aggravation. I replaced the oil pan gasket today and now it has 2 leaks instead of one. I need to get away from this for awhile. I seriously HATE THE @(*$% CAR!!!!!!!!!

PETE!!!!! Knock that talk of selling your Fieros off. Don't make me slap you, 'cause I'll do it.
Seriously, take a break; as in a couple of weeks. Give yourself time to calm down, realize your girl is 27 years old, then tackle it again. I know they can piss you off, I know too well. But if ever there was anyone who NEEDED a Fiero, it would be you. There's time for cruises anytime.
good luck with it pete don't feel rushed to get it fixed and don't sell it because you will regret it. mines pissed me off plenty of times to the point where i wanted to sell it and didnt even care if i gave it away for free but im glad i didnt. take your time with it and enjoy the project and like hulki said theres always time for cruises so dont feel the need to rush it.
Hey Pete. Like they say, sit back and relax, you will have a new perspective on it in a day or so. Sometimes I just walk from those and a couple days later "Viola" the fix stares me in the face as I creeper under the car.
From the sound of the group, they'll wait.

Let me know if everyone is still interested in the cruise.

Pete, the weekend of the 26th sounds doable. We will try to make it. The preliminary schedule sounds pretty good. Are there any decent low cost motels in the area or should I just do a web search for motels or bed and breakfast accomodations?
Pete. I am about 75% sure that I can make the cruise. My birthday is on the 30th so there is always a change that someone in the family will ask me to dinner that Saturday but my wife is working so I'll just "play it by ear" As for your car, accept that it is OLD-27 years old to be exact. You will continue to have issues with any brand of 27 yr old car. You'll always be working on it so just chalk it up to the task of maintaining a classic vehicle and keep your AAA gold membership up to date. For every hour that you drive your Fiero figure an hours of shop work will be needed. Its not your daily driver so just do the work a bit at a time. I have over 500 hours of work in my black 87GT and I am now going on 12 hours to install the intercooler. A Fiero is never finished.
