That looks great, I really like the color it is now, and I wonder how it would look with the gun-metal color of the chin spoiler for the rest of the ground effects? Anyways, great build, love the notchie!

EDIT: YES! FIRST PAGE OWNAGE EVER!

Looking good! Can't quite roll beer cans down the road, but it is pretty low. Don't forget I am interested in the motor if you decide to go V8.

If I get my next project rolling, I'll be putting the whole car up for sale. I want to finish this one, but I got a new itch!
Never hurts to make an offer if you want the engine.

Oh yeah, I could roll a can if I left the fender liners out and cut another coil!
I'm already sitting 3 coils south of stock. I can barely fit my hand between the 17's and the fender.

... Thinking you went too low ? (is there such a thing?)

I like it, but I think I'd have to keep it a bit closer to stock height (my driveway has a serious curb attached to it)

Can't wait to see this get done! If your next project needs a low mileage LS2 engine, let me know as I have one laying around and I just plain love yellow cars.

Foster can should be no problem. Is that kinda cheating?

If I get the back window cut, I should have the car complete enough to drive. It needs some fresh air after being couped up all this time.
I'll get some new pics this weekend, hopefully with some different scenery than my parts filled garage.

I'm digging the idea of the gray lowers and trim. It would look nice with the interior. Kinda hard to make yellow blend in with normal cars, so maybe that will tone it down a little?
What am I thinking? I have a slammed, shaved, chopped, souped up ticket magnet. Blending went out the window. I might as well put strobes and neon all over it.

Update soon!

FIRE IN THE HOLE>

Took the Bus out for a spin today. I forgot how much power this thing has. With the back window out, you can really hear the 3.4 pumping.

I finished up the outside. The only things left are the rear window, some kind of side windows. (I may leave them out), and a few odds and ends for the interior.
As low as it is, I could not get it to drag the fenders no matter how hard i turned or braked. It is not real harsh either which suprised me a little.\
Here are some pics.

Here's a few options for you to think about! I know where there will be a turnkey 4.9 swap avaialble soon! Or, you could merge an 86 V8 Coupe with the Short Bus! The Bus is screaming for a V8 of some kind.........heehee.........!

I liked this car before the chop. Now its just beyond awesome. You're doing amazing work. Glad to see the body finished. The lowered front looks awesome. But you really have to lower the rear.

Wow.....Phil......You work fast brother - that car looks amazing! If someone does not buy it, I'll be completely amazed. Any thought about painting the trim grey/silver? Maybe a charcoal? Very nice work!

Thanks everyone. It ain't perfect, but fun!
I am leaning towards charcoal for the trim and lower pieces. Similar to what Pat used on the sail panels, and mirrors.

I'm not sure I see what you are referring to . The gap in the lower trim? Or just below the mirror? That is just the rubber seal painted yellow.

Yeah, that's just the rubber seal? I guess it just looked different to me, or maybe I just need to go to sleep...

If Carver ends up the 4.9, or other V8, I have a place for the 3.4

Looking good! I like the idea of the charoal trim. It just needs to be a little lower in back, or maybe a taller rear tire.....and a V8!

Dropping the rear will happen soon. All that's left is finish up the interior, and side windows.
Can the rears be cut? Maybe just clamp them down?

If I were to drop it, I wouldn't rely on clamps... Cut from the top, maybe?

Dude it is beyond me why you would take so much time to do that choptop, not once but twice, get it all finished, painted, and looking just wicked cool and then want to sell the damn thing? What gives, you know that nothing you get will be cooler than that car right? peace

They are wavy as hell, but should keep the rain out. Still some tweeking with the door seal and heat gun.

Anyone have a pic of where the plastic barrel stopper goes in the door? I forgot.

Kinda weird how small changes add up to a big difference. The chop is only three inches. The front is a few inches lower. An inch here and there adds up quick. The before pic looks like a long lost cousin...
