Due to potential liability issues with the Minnesota Fieros Forever club, we are deferring that to the City of Frazee to put on. If they say "yes" then we can have you organize it for us Shawn.
Again, more details coming. We have not finalized the itinerary yet.
I'll be there with Fieroguy123. I doubt I'll win any trophies since my car is driven daily and can't be a trailer queen, but hell, it'll be fun. Maybe if there's a daily driver class. Or...a 100+ mile a day class.
PM Me if you need: Interior/Exterior Parts Stock Switches/Bezels Gauge Clusters Body Panels Fiero Rotor Hubs for Brake Swaps Or custom fabricated parts! My prices are very low.

What is Turkey Day? I thought that was Thanksgiving....
Frazee has a yearly festival called Frazee Turkey Days.
Frazee is the home of the world's largest turkey.
This show coincides with Turkey Days to help the show gain participants, as well as to help the town with income from the numerous people coming in from out of the area.
What is Turkey Day? I thought that was Thanksgiving....
Frazee used to be a large turkey growing area and had a turkey processing plant. The growers used to have an end of season get together to celebrate and this has grown out of that. Google Frazee Turkey Days and see pictures of the 22 foot flaming paper mache turkey that caught on fire back in 1998.
Bump to the top. Please help keep this page at the top as much as possible.
I have updated the list of hotels.
Detroit Lakes is a HUGE tourist spot. They have all sorts of attractions including a championship Golf Course, go kart tracks, etc etc.
People come up for the beautiful scenery on Lake Detroit, and end up enjoying a large variety of fun activities. This is a HOT tourist destination in Minnesota.
This is lake country. Over 400 lakes within 25 miles of Detroit Lakes. Frazee is only a 10 minute drive from Downtown Detroit Lakes.
Detroit Lakes, Minnesota has you covered. How about a swim? We have two public beaches. Don't miss a visit to our Mile Long Beach on Detroit Lake. Launch your boat. Walk along the observation pier. Listen to music coming from the restored over 90-year-old Pavilion.
There are fun attractions in all directions from Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. How about mini golf or an amusement park? Up to some action at the skate park or tennis courts? Maybe bowling or an amusement center with billiards and electronic games is more your style.
If the whole family needs a workout, the Detroit Lakes Community Center has courts, weights and a pool with an enticing waterslide.
For more scholarly endeavors, we're pleased to invite you to Lake Agassiz Regional Library and Becker County Museum.
If you are an adult who just wants to have fun, check out some casino action. Besides the slots, you'll discover first-class accommodations and entertainment.
It really is all here at the lakes, in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota.

Chris, you forgot to mention the BBQ that Daneele invited everyone to their house for. There is nothing set in stone yet, but she did mention: "Jay would like to shoot for Friday night so we have a chance to visit before all the weekend activities, but we will have to see if that is when most people are showing up." I will fire off a PM to KEV and see what he things about the date and all.
I think it is important to put the info in the first post, even if the date is tentative, so people can plan their days to be there better.
Also, you may want to start posting and updating a list of people attending, like the list that started in the original "First Annual Tyler Shipman Frazee Fiero Gathering July 24th 2010" thread that KEV started. It will never be 100% accurate, but it is a great guideline on how many people we expect to infiltrate the town for the weekend

John, I'll let Kev handle that. He asked me to keep it off the main thread for now, as we don't want to inundate the Shipman family with 300 people up front...
BUT, yes, we are planning on adding it, and making sure the Fiero people know about it.

I REALLY want to come to this event andbring the IMSA. Still on the fence about the gas money. If I come, I'll be sleeping in the truck or trailer. No way am I going to try to afford $300 for 2 nights at a hotel that I will hardly visit. I'll be hanging out with everyone.

For the BBQ at the Shipman's, (I see it is on the 1st post now.) Would they like us to bring any meat, buns or our own drinks or anything? Maybe desserts?

Howdy...
I spoke with Big Mike (Official name lol), the Chief of Police.
IMSAs, Prototypes and all are welcome in town. He can not authorize anything illegal, but stated that if you needed to drive a car from a trailer to the show location, eyes could look the other way... Parade runs are welcome as well during the parade with these cars.
2.5... Daneele and Jay stated they wanted to give something back to the community. Potluck desserts are fine...
We may set up a tip jar for the cook though.

Paul,
At our monthly MFF meeting last Monday night, a club member volunteered the use of her large lake property lot for camping & trailers. It is about 5 miles from Frazee. Shower and flush toilet would be available, but sleeping arrangements are your own. I may try to convince my sister-in-law to bring her 27-foot RV up along with one of several nice cars she and her friends have. (71 Cuda convertible / 70 Mach 1). This option might be something to consider.

If you want to bring dessert or a side dish that would be great. Everything else is covered

I shared a rooom once and I swear the wallls were being sucked in and out like in a cartoon. #3 I dont need any stories or memories of HUGE floaters or any tooth paste incidences. Chris
