i have several new sets of nos mera taillights reds and ambers.... but i also have 1 set of used reds and ambers.... i was thinking about taking the used set and carefully cutting the amber center out and installing a white center and a metallic tube and bulb holder to make reverse lights inside of them any one else interested in that sort of thing? mike
evening all. sorry Mike, that's tooo ferrari for me.......I am all in.... Mera.....well 'cept that - be damned piece of paper..... i have come to find out that, power steering was NOT an avilable option on any Fiero.....ever.....is this true????? i have a lead on a 1987 SE as MERA # 20...best lead so far......can only hope......also found out that the guy, i bought my car from, got it here in MI......that is real good cuz the car fax has title info from MI.....i think that this is the previous owner before my seller guy...... anybody know how to find a people from a 10 year old title number????? would it not be cool to have the complete history of your car from 2 people???? so close to home.....i gotta find this person!!!! sooo exciteing...... my tummy hurts! later Dan

i have been asked by several/lots of people here on pff and elsewhere to make my mera replacement panels available to people other than mera or 308 kit owners. what are the mera owners opinions on this. if i were to offer a complete mera rebody it would be expensive, say like 12500.00 anyhow what are mera owners opinions? mike
I for one take issue only because it will create an enviroment like the one i am currently in. Is my car a real Mera???? without the sticker....NO! My Panels mean nothing to me unless they are 22-23 years old..(not 20 yrs)....and born in Capac MI......i would be worried of the "Ebay" crowd.... and their descriptions. i am happy with my car only if my panels are Mera, even from a salvage! I am cool with that.....but they have to be Corprate Concepts.....
but theres always an option to change (in a large but subtle way) an aspect of your kit.....Anti-fruad thing......i do not respect counterfiters!.....if there is a tell-tale difference, then i am all for you. anyway thats my 2 cents......later Daniel

man is this guy always sooo serious?hahaha...... a fat coupla whoppers always makes me feel better.......ahhhhhhhh....... D
I see no reason not to offer the complete set if you can do so economically. The real Meras are generally identified by the sticker/build number and your panels are really no different than a F308 kit without them. I for one will appreciate a source of these panels if something happens to one of my vehicles and I cannot repair the old oanels. Maybe the next issue would be counterfit stickers but the VIN numbers would not match the list of any known Meras.

lol dan and nelson... please understand i would not be counterfiting meras at all. basically i call them mera replacement panels so the "F" people cannot attack me. lol they are exact replacement panels for a mera but most ppl will associate them with 308's. if i offer them i can only call them mera replacement panels. i would definately NOT be selling mera kits... instead mera replacement panels.... lol have i said that enough times yet lol. i have thought long and hard about it and real documented mera's are the only true meras, sorry dan, and the rest are basically kit cars. so if i offer my mera replacement panels lol to the general public it should not affect the value of real mera's???? does everyone else think like that too? mike
i do bro! but out of your hands....its my only issue......them damn counterfitters..they know who they are. not you.... Nelsons right to the point of the LOST Meras.....those by process of elimination will suddenly appear.....does that make sence? Rodney may even help them (unkownenly)....bass-turds.they are. it is just a piece of paper?!?!...i have started tracking my 1987 pontiac "Fiero" se through P.H.S. for any insight
($50) for insight....thats piece of mind... replacement panels are fine.. in two weeks i'll have a full set.....it will be this easy...roll tape.....and.......action! "FOR SALE EXTREMELY RARE 1987 PONTIAC MERA"........blah,blah......now with PONTIAC no more, the value of this limited ed. XXX of 247 PONTIAC ONLY avalible option could be yours for $35000"..."upwards of $60,000 in future value" "never before in the history of"...and so on......of course this is only my(over-dramatized) opinion.......i am just sayin. gettin it out there...for the record. P.S. hey i learned how too smiliey face....cool .....what are some other key configurations for them little guys????

to the point of the devalueing of a Mera.....it would mine should it be real......lucky that there are only like 90 to 100 left.... In my opinion this issue will make Rodneys list absolute and the only list of REAL MERAS from your first panels on.....again just opinion.....it will for a as of right now impossible to expand the list barring maybe that Receipt/bill of sale window sticker thing posted in the Paradise thread.....am i right???? or maybe it will force the issue for a complete list form the source....if possible through the estate of Bob Bracey...you know a FULL VIN #LIST...from C.C. in a safe somewhere hopefully.....i dream yes i do!
really all spazeses aside you cant replicate the method enough to worry about for a 22 year copy anyway.....what was i thinkin....at least i got age.....(a dusty coated form of carbon dating if you will).... on my side.....enuff from me.....have at it..... oh just kidding about the whole"2 week thing kit thing"...just replacement panels.....gonna need them after eng. install sorry for the rAnT....Later Dan

your fine dan, i wanted to hear from ppl about this subject. i would definately suggest making rodneys list absolute. only exception would be if someone has one and can prove with a carfax or something of the sort they have owned for years or something like that. mike

Quality replacement panels for a Mera are a good idea, and I know you need to make a profit for you work. Please try to keep the prices affordable so Mera's can continue to be restored instead of junked. There will always be knock offs, but does anyone know how many real Mera's still exist?
hey Mike. surfin your store saw that you offer LSX conversions......How much??? just shoppin....'fer now.. would like the engine/trans. combo of around 280-300 hp.....with future turbo upgrades. no nitros ever..... i smell a 2010 SEMA promo/marketing scheme a brewing....dont get me started......"SEMA 2010 Performance Motorsports OK.....twin '87 Meras.....come one come all...both LSX swaps.....see in action LV raceway........" later- Dan

this is a hush hush deal.... TO ALL MERA OWNERS.... any of my mera parts or mera replacement parts are workable on price to verifiable mera owners. you need to prove to me that you actually own a mera, ie rodney confirms it or other methods. and i will make all attempts on whatever parts you need to be affordable to your situation. as far as 308 kit people needing replacement parts or wanting a whole mera replacement body kit prices are firm and high. reasoning is i want all mera's to continue to be around(my personal mera is probably the most needing my parts anyways lol). and i will sell to the 308 kit guys but they will have to pay a premium to get it. this doesnt mean offer me 10.00 for a 500.00 part but i think you all get the picture here. tell me what you want and a reasonable price and ill work with you....everytime. nuf said. ps dan i got you covered too. i think your car likely is the real deal but even if it aint most of us on pff have accepted you as a mera owner anyways lol. thanks everyone, mike in oklahoma

Hold on a second before this REALLY gets out of hand. I made a suggestion to have a MERA section added to the forum ONLY because: 1-it has not been done and 2-to try and make it easier to find threads on a FACTORY built car....not some kitcar. For some unknown reason, everyone is getting the impression that I want to get the MERA owners off this forum and in to their own secluded area and that is not the case. I have been questioned this in a few emails and someone really twisted my intentions in the wrong direction. After the usual comments on this forum asking "what about lambo kits, what about the Indy, what about the T-tops", I said basically to screw the whole idea. The idea was simple, you have access to moulds that are impossible to come by and it is an asset to the MERA community since you cannot buy MERA replacement parts anymore. I just thought a seperate area would have been nice for the MERA owners but I guess the rest of the forum thought otherwise.

lets see is this the right spot for Mera molds... Hello, i am looking for a replacement for my busted louvered sail window thingy???
joking- how about this?. truce. as a Mera owner, the only concession i give is to reply to a Mera topic, specific. Mera Molds??=molds thread. engine swap ??= Mera eng swap thread. maybe post some more pictures to Fiero in Paradises thread cuz there is so many!!(10 page TOMMY!) anyway, thats fair. i promise to stop cross pollinating. I will post thread specific. Daniel
you know when i first got here, with my New little Mera thread.(baby pictures.) i believe i was the only active Mera thread give or take a item in the MALL section. of them stupid Vitroloni Mirrors. (so glad i have them) but... thats cool how fast its grown to a nice little sub community. a even smaller "tribe" if you will, is the Mera eng. conversions. cuz it does not look like a Fiero. a super fast "Illusion". cant wait till i get some speed...

I think IMSA had a good idea that was misunderstood. Since no one really knows how many Mera's are left. I think it is a good idea to start finding out more about these cars by allowing owners to communicate with each other. Maybe we will all learn more about these cars this way.

you know. just a shot in the dark.....but... i thought thats what WE were doing? Rather swimmingly, i must say...
i will go in the "library" and check to see if there was ever more that 5 or 6 Mera posts at any one time. if not, i would say that the information super highway just kicked in to TOP gear, as whereas, Meras are concerened. about 7 months ago (Hummm..) just after i got here?..huh??!?...come to think of it. I started posting in June and i have over 550 posts (2.61+ posts a day) mostly about MERAS. and 3 or 4 threads i have started. (2 that Mr. Pennock, himself, has posted on) so, that is alot of new info. alone. There are alot of new Mera clues i have uncovered in the endless quest for a build #. later Dan
