you guys need to seriously find something better to do with your time. remind me to keep my kids inside, because there are some weird ass people. go ahead and look for grammatical errors so you have something else to start a post with, i didnt sit here and spell check it or look stuff with a dictionary and i really dont care to, because i have better things to do like spend time with my kid. thank you all and have a wonderful day...by the way, my fiero is a hundred times nicer than any of yours...PERIOD...
By the way it's been nice knowing you because it will be a RARE day that the autoban doesn't kick in and rid us of a troll before the end of the week.
Well, I'm one of the first 8 posters and I just pointed out your blatant exaggeration about the V6 power slamming you back in the seat. We own Fiero's and by your own admission you do not, so you can't BS us about the power of the stock V6. Your add is misleading and doesn't represent the full truth, plain and simple.
Why do you feel the need to defend yourself? Feeling guilty?
I have 2 Fiero Indys--one with less than 68K on it, in great and original shape, running, inspected and registered, and I do not consider them rare--even tho there are fewer than 300 left on the planet. Even fewer than that in running condition. Your car is not rare.
There are less than 300 running Indys left?? Wow I have a RARE Fiero. I should put it on Craigslist for $6,000!
YOU GUYS HAVE A VERY RARE NIGHT. I LIKE HOW IT IS ME VS. "YOU GUYS" this all started from one of your guys in larkspur, co. he is the one he started the bashing, i was only attempting to defend myself...since these cars are not "rare" and are very common, i hope you guys enjoy being part of something so plain and boring, hey you said they are not rare, not me.

Let me ask you, are you 12? have you ever even DRIVEN a Fiero? I see ads for Fieros on Craigslist every -DAY-, and I can post over 20 different Fiero ads JUST from Craigslist, JUST from the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. I live in the extreme northern US, where cars rust like hell, and EVEN HERE, I see Fieros. I've seen at least 10 in the last year. There is a guy that lives in the same town as me and has a BEAUTIFUL blue GT for sale. It's not rare, and it doesn't have 500 miles on it, but it is SUPER clean.
Everyone here is trying to tell you that no matter how clean, sparkly, and low miled your car is, it is not RARE.
Let me put it this way; if I found a late 80s model Honda Civic that had 5000 miles on it and looks like it just came off the show floor, would you call it rare? Think about that.

I know there was bashing going on, and I am saying this in your defense, but if you might have approached this forum with a more neutral attitude (despite some of the nit-picking) there probably would not have been so much bantering going on.
I wish you luck selling you car, regardless of how you promote it. Theoretically it isn't rare, but vehicles in that condition are hard to come by, so it's just a jewel in many cars so to speak. Just some of the parts of your advertisement are misleading.
Hey man, I'm not going to bag on you. Welcome to the forum. If you want to see a rare fiero, here it is. Appraised at a freaking 25,000 and going to be worth 100,000 in five years. Owned by Dale himself. Now this is rare!
I HAPPEN TO BE THE OWNER OF THIS CAR...you guys are awesome!!! This car has been in the family since it was purchased off the lot 22 years ago. I bet not a single one of you so called "fiero nuts" could say the same about your car. you guys probably chose fieros because you cant afford ferraris. this car has been in the garage its whole life and never been scratched or in a wreck. I dare you to show me any original car over 20 years old with this mileage that runs like the day it was purchased. you guys could of said "that is a clean car" or "that is cool it is all still original," but no, you all sit around knocking it. go ahead and call yourselves fans, but I dont think you are fiero fans. I have seen 3 fieros in the last 5 years, only one of which was a V6 and it had been repainted, in a wreck, and had 108,000 miles. this car is a steal for the condition it is in. It is liking buying it in 1990 with normal miles. you guys need to seriously find something better to do with your time. remind me to keep my kids inside, because there are some weird ass people. go ahead and look for grammatical errors so you have something else to start a post with, i didnt sit here and spell check it or look stuff with a dictionary and i really dont care to, because i have better things to do like spend time with my kid. thank you all and have a wonderful day...by the way, my fiero is a hundred times nicer than any of yours...PERIOD...
At least I got a rare Fiero, Its an 87 coupe Blue..but what makes mine rare is..... it may be the only one with exactly 15,200 miles on her.. !!!

...any twenty something year old car with low miles that has been garaged is rare to me, not talking about colors, options, or anything inside the fiero lines,
So, 'rarely' will someone in Colorado get a chance to buy such a pristine condition, low mileage, always garaged, one owner 87 Fiero GT.
Why didn't you just say that in the first place??

Not worth the time, guys. Like I said, if he is not the guy I corresponded with it is RARE to find two people with the same car and the same arguments as to why they are rare.
Plus, he reads into anything we post whatever he wants to. In my first post I said it looked like a nice car. Just wasn't rare.
And lastly, I never said nor posted that there were only 20 Fieros on Craigslist. Those came from a search for 'rare Fiero'. Still too many on Craigslist being called rare.
Good riddance. Do hope someone gets the car at a decent price though so maybe they can come here and actually learn about Fieros.
i laughed all the way threw his posts, he made himself look so much like a jackass it was funny, but the thing is why would someone really care about what someone said on here to go on a rampage seriously. i just think how incredible it is to have people talk like that, this is a forum about one car that everyone on here loves...this place is made to speak your mine haha well that was good whell it lasted.

This is one of those RARE occasions when I feel compelled to chime in. First, let me say that I did not look at this thread soon enough to see the original Craigslist ad, but apparently it was just a bit over the top for quite a few on this Forum who are familiar with the Fiero. I can certainly understand that... using the word "rare" four times was probably overdoing it just a bit, and I recognize that much of the criticism was meant to chide the seller for having done that. But that is what is known as "puffing" in sales talk (I think the rest of us call it "BS"). However, in a different context, it might have been appropriate... say for example: "This is a rare low mileage example of a Fiero GT in pristine condition."
Ultimately, whether the car is rare enough to command $6,000 is something that will be settled between the seller and a buyer. After seeing some of (what I consider to be the crazy prices) at the Barrett-Jackson auctions, anything is possible.
Having said that, advertising that the car will slam the driver's back to the seat is way over the top. From my limited experience, the only way the stock V6 will slam anyone's back into the seat is if the car is driven as fast as possible into a barrier while in reverse. I have said all along that my 86 Omni GLHS was much faster than the stock GT, and by the way, much more rare (only 500 were made). A decent example of the rare 87 Charger GLHS (only 1,000 produced) was sold just yesterday for $2,500. So, who is to say. See: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymot...geName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
As a side note, some very rare cars a actually harder to sell than more popular cars. By way of example, in the 70s I owned the Unipower GT that appears in the photo (see link). It is a tube framed GT based with a Mini Cooper S drive train mounted midship (and transverse). This car was one of 75 built, and one of only three with left hand drive. Somewhat rare. The market for the car was also rare. Most decent 67 Cooper S sedans would have sold for more. Go figure. http://www.hsrrace.com/SVRA...f/plinks/EJEN-63BTUZ
Now, I don't really blame rareEXrare for trying to defend himself, although I don't agree with his style. A simple "thanks for the information guys... maybe I should tone the ad down a bit." would have been fine. And while Songman may have been mistaken, it would have been simple enough to point out this fact rather than call him a liar. (Wait a minute, maybe Songman had spoken to the true owner some time back.) It really doesn't matter... rather than thank the forum members who had complimented the car, he decided to alienate the entire forum with his defensive style.
Personally, I hope he sells his car for the price he wants... that would seem to indicate an increasing demand; resulting in increasing values for those of us who have been holding one or more. Yes, I may be surprised if he gets his price, but it would be a pleasant surprise.

EDIT: Just wanted to add, I think the RAREST Fiero ever made would be the 87 SE Fiero with the 4 cyl. It's set up like a V6 with dual exhaust and aero package, but only has the 4 cyl. If memory serves me, Mark Corbin's guide suggested that there were only something like 1,400 ever made. I've only seen two in my life (I believe). I would guess a blue one would probably be even more rare at that point, but we're splitting hairs now.
Oops. In 1999 I converted one of those(A Silver 1987 Fiero SE 4 cyl) to a Northstar V8. It ain't rare no more. LOL

Reading his original add, I would have closed the window after a few sentences, but his revised one is nice. It would make me want call him if I was interested in a low miles original fiero.
I hate reading an add where someone is trying to "oversell" their product. If it's good, it will speak for its self. Usually, the shorter adds attract my attention the most.
Tom, if you are still reading this, I think your new add is a winner. Good luck with the sale, it looks like a nice car.

rareEXTREMELYrare (in case you are still looking here):
For the record there are always lower milage cars that come up from time to time on eBay...and lets not forget about that one at Hinton Chevrolet-Buick that has never been titled with less tha 300 miles on it (although the price on that one goes up daily) - plus there are many others that are very low milage cars.
Rare...no...possibly desirable...yes, but only because of the lower milage.
