Heh, its a little late to call now but I'll give you a buzz tomorrow after I get out of class. Um, around 11 methinks. Unless you read this in the near future and want to give me a call, I'll be up till at least midnight.
I am on the fence I've had some big problems this week, btw does anyone have a spare couch for me and the wife? its about four hours each way and while young i'm not superman. (Especially without cruise) that'll weigh heavily on my mind. I'm not completely out but I'm not 100 % sure. I'll mull it over some. BTW if anyone wants to contact me tomorrow to try and sway me my #816 256-0942 or email @ mightytarget@yahoo.com
Well, if you can make it that would be great but if you can't then thats OK too. I was planning on staying over at my girlfriends place so I don't have anywhere for you to stay over
I'm getting ready to head over to my g/f's place for the night in Joplin. She doesn't have the interwebs at her place so if you guys need anything give me a call (Brad and Mike have my number). I'll see you guys over by the Vintage Stock parking lot around 12 tomorrow!
Now just to convince my girlfriend to come with me
We first met up over at Moes to eat and hang out for a bit where the conversation went to talking about the local spook trails :P
Afterwards, we decided to Autozone as a couple of the guys wanted to pick up a couple things. While there, we got bored and decided to clean and rain-x windows.
Then we took pictures of everyone's Fiero! Me and my 86 GT is on the left, Brad in the middle w/ a HW 85 GT, and Mike on the end with an 88 Coupe w/ SC 3800.
In case you were wondering, here is a close-up of Brad's HW (hot wheels) Fiero that he brought since his 1:1 cars are broken down at the moment
At this point we decided to go and visit FieroDustin at his place. He was planning on showing up but he had an incident in his GT and then his truck's oil pump died so we decided to bring the meet to him!
Here are pics from the drive over. I gave my camera to Brad to play with as he and his fiance followed Brad and I over to Dustin's.
And in front of Dustin's place:
And Dustin himself!
And some pics of his car. He started it up breifly and it indeed sounds lovely, but due to the damage its not being driven. The damage really isn't bad, but its enough to be annoying. The lug nuts weren't tightened down and the wheel came off, which bent the rim, cracked the fender, and wore a flat spot on the rotor.
We hung out for a while at Dustins where Brad's car enjoyed being "Driven" over some various "curves" of those in attendance and I tightened my alternator as the belt was squaling. I got the opinion of those present about some issues I'm having with my car and the general consensus is that my balancer is shot and as such may be keeping the motor from being timed right. So... new balancer for me in the near future.
After fiddling with the car a bit more we noticed a Sheriff car roaming the neighborhood and occasionally stopping behind my car on the street, making me paranoid. Turns out, a couple Sheriffs came out to visit with one of Dustin's neighbors a couple houses down and just wanted to park a little ways away behind my car. It was dark, but heres a pic of the patrol car behind my GT:
And thats most of the pictures on my camera :P I left out some that were redundant or fuzzy though, as several people were playing with the camera as we hung out. It was a lot of fun though and we need to do it again, maybe in the spring after the weather warms up again.
I'm up for it! I'll even bring some burgers and an appetite. Give me a few weeks and I should have a brand spankin' new paint job to show off! I can't wait to get her back...
