Id rather a Fiero than a Silvia or a Mr2 why make an Italian styled car look Japanese? Either make it look more italian or make it look American.
People keep viewing this thread and not reading the entirety of it. The original "choices" are moot- they designers have gone a completely different direction. Songman was merely preparing to discuss ideas with them and was asking our opinions on some examples of work they've already done.

Sorry, I haven't been on much lately. I'm up in Seattle now and will be up here all week. I talked to the guys last week and the notchback is done and the fastback should be done by the time I get home. So I'll go down there next week and hopefully be able to bring both cars home. We still gotta try to get the 4.9 in the fastback before the Coast Run! But time is running out. Hopefully the guys will be ready to release pictures next week as well. Thanks for staying interested.

here is my vote the scrab bumper looks alot like the top one and the bottom one just looks to mr2ish so make one thats actuly for the fiero. and while your at it how about side skirrts like these? same basic shape but one solid peice.

Yes but the look at end of day is hopefully a super car yes we were asked and gave our opinion. These kits make the car look Japanese if these designers want an opinion of some thing that doesn't they better start designing. If this is just an example of what they could do then perhaps a few more designs may excite. I am not bagging these guys it is just the examples look like replica Mr2 and Silvia when others are building replica or custom style Ferrari and Lambos. I am either stating the obvious or it hurts to be called an Mr2 but one thing i do like is the Mr2 front end on a Fiero. I love the Mr2 i sold the most new sports cars Paseo,Celica,Supra on special import and mr2 in June 1996 in Oz for Toyota so id talked myself into loving them. If an Mr2 could take a bigger motor eg 350 imagine the cult following. The Silvia skyline already has a massive following but this is making the car look cheap. In Australia a Fiero is worth about $15,000 for a stock clean car a Silvia $5,000 and a Mr2 under $10,000. Perhaps i just see it a little different look at these cars like a financial downgrade and not seeing these mods for the capable artwork this designer may have. You have to agree these body parts selected for these fieros were likely sourced from Nissan and Toyota kits.

Obviously the cars were supposed to be done weeks ago. 6-8 weeks from when I originally dropped them off. But I didn't really need the cars so it was no big deal. Now I am less than a month from the Coast Run and still don't have either car back. I talked to them a little over two weeks ago and they said they would be done within a week. I was out of town that week so was going to go down last week to pick them up. Not ready. I called yesterday and am now tentatively going down on Monday to pick up the notchback with the complete kit on it. The fastback will take a couple more weeks they say.
So I have to get the notchback home on Monday. Figure out the hacked up wiring/alarm system to see why it won't start on it's own, redo the complete interior, get it painted.... and I have 3 weeks to do it. The fastback would need the 4.9 installed and painted before the Coast Run so obviously that is not going to happen.
But hopefully, I will have pictures of Marie's T-top notchie back home with kit installed by Monday evening. I hear the kit is slightly modified from what it was when I originally saw it. And they are making two different rear bumpers. One that is styled more for the notchback and one that is more for the fastback. Both will incorporate a diffuser from what I understand.
From what I understand, my two kits will be ready now and they will have kits in stock and ready to sell within two months after that. I am going to be a distributor for them and will be selling them on my site at fiero-performance.com.
Well, I went down and saw the progress on the cars yesterday. The 'glass guy had to go to the hospital so the cars are not done. They are going to patch up Marie's notchback enough for me to take it to the Coast Run and let people see the design. After that I am going to take the car back to them for more mods.
Although the car wasn't finished, it did have the rear bumper and both sides temporarily attached. The nose was laying on the ground beside it. I do like the look. I think it may take a little tweaking to make it just what we want though. Once it is shown at the Coast Run I will take lots of pictures and post them so people can tell what they like and dislike about the kit. They said that changes can still be made at that point before the actual kits are made so we will have more input.
I took a few pictures yesterday and will try to post some teasers later on today when I have time. They said that we should be able to have completed kits in hand and ready to sell by December.
To be honest, what I saw when I went down there was just not ready to be seen. I was supposed to pick the car up for the Coast Run but I had to leave it. I pointed out areas that needed work and they said they still thought they could have it ready for me to take for the Run. I am going tomorrow in hopes that it will look good enough to bring. Even at that point, this is still a work in progress. After the debut, pictures will be posted and people can offer opinions, praise, criticisms... And those may affect the final design.
I will say that there is a thread here on the forum about a F360 style rear. I think anyone looking in that direction will like what is going on with this car. There are some things that will not be evident next weekend because of time restraints.. like the side air vents on the front and rear fascias. But if ya'll can hold on just a little longer you are finally going to get to see.
But here is a little sneak at what I saw last time I was there. Changes should have been made since then. You'll have to use your imagination as to how it all looks put together.
is this going to be a compleat body kit? bolth bumpers and side skirt or do the stock side skirts match the bumpers? regardles of how the product looks unfinnished we all would stil see the potential. but thanks for the peeks, they look awsome.

Both bumpers and side skirts, and possibly a couple of options for the doors. I am getting the car back for the Coast Run and then taking it back for more massaging. I made some suggestions last week that are supposed to be implemented by the time I pick it up tomorrow. They are also talking about some hood and engine cover mods later too, and even carbon fiber stuff. But I just want to get this first one done before I go off worrying about the others. But after this one is done, my fastback is next!
Full pictures of the car will be up, if not tomorrow, by Monday or so.
That's right... those are what the photos are. The air intake is the passenger side.
The car is on its way to my house now. I went to pick it up and it looks pretty dang good! I was happily impressed with what I saw over what I saw a week ago. But this car has wiring issues that I knew it had when I bought it 7-8 months ago. So I toyed with it for about 45 minutes and finally just called AAA. I am still out of town but the car should be home by now. I have pictures but no way to download my camera until tomorrow. Bear with me one more day and all will be revealed.
And yes, I am going to be selling them on my website. I won't be setting the prices but as soon as a decision is made I will post for all to see.
