Toms for sure.

the Toms only looks like an MR2 because it's on an MR2. I think if it was adapted to fit the fiero's body it would look better then the Border.

BORDER - 10

Thanks for everyone who is chiming in. I still haven't heard back from the guys. May be next week now since this is a holiday weekend. I'll keep you informed if anything happens.

Border.... it allows for more tweaking and holds a more agressive stance. I think it could be tweaked right to not like so ricer.

They both look like bad copies of Japanese cars.

The 89 body is unique, still up to date, and looks like a Fiero.

This thread is for an add on kit like you'd buy for any other car, not a complete re-body, so we're out of luck there unless they made just updated fascias...

They called me today and I am taking the car down there on Monday. I gave them the address for the forum and told them about our discussion here and our concerns about making something that looks right for the Fiero instead of something that looks like an MR2 part bolted on a Fiero. I think they are ready to do just that. When I take the car down, I'll take some pictures and have some discussion about possibilities.

As said, I think that if they come up with a kit and actually get some sales out of it that they might produce other styles. Our goal is to have the first one ready to debut at WestFest at the end of June. I'm pretty optimistic about this and will work with them as much as needed to get good styles out.

Thanks again to FieroFanatic13 for getting this rolling. I am just the one who lived close enough to follow up on it.

To Aus: Hey Jim! Good to see you still haunting around here! We need to catch up sometime!

I don't really like either of them, I agree with others that they need tweaking. But you want a vote between the two at the beginning of this tread so I will have to go with Tom's. The Border I have to agree is just too ricey. Nice looking but just too ricey.

The vote was just for a direction, not really a particular piece. I was trying to figure out which would be more likely to sell... Rice or not rice. I was hoping for not rice and that is the way it went, though not as much of a majority as I figured.

Tom's...

the other is much too ricey.

DO SOME OF YOU GUYS NOT REALIZE THEY ARE BOTH BODY KITS ON AN MR2? The kit isn't making it look that way, it's the car underneath...

I think both are kinda ricey, but i, would have to go toward the border with tweaks. Its too, "Ohh you have that front end," other ricer "YEA," ricer 1 "Me too."

Nothing yet. They were supposed to e-mail me the address to deliver the car before we took off for Vegas last week. They forgot to send it and I got no answer when I called so we had to go. They did e-mail me the address later but we were already gone. We're home now so will make plans to get the car down there. Not gonna happen in time for WestFest though it appears.

This style would be another great style, if it's possible to adapt to a Fiero.

Well, I was down visiting the designers for the new body panels today and I have to say that I am very impressed with what they came up with. I told them that a lot of people were concerned about the parts looking like something from an MR2 stuck on a Fiero. I have to say that they took those words to heart and came up with something totally different than either of the two kits we voted on. Something that looks totally Fiero inspired, yet updated. They start disassembling my car in the morning and starting to work on the mock-up.

The design they came up with is still secret for now but I will tell you that it is being designed to work on any Fiero. It will replace pretty much everything from the beltline down. If the actual work comes out anything like the drawings, I think we are all going to be pleased. And of course, if they get good response from the Fiero community they will be interested in doing more styles.

They have a huge warehouse jam packed with parts for many cars. And in addition to fiberglass, they also do carbon fiber as well.

I'm excited!
