If you go to many shows, you'll find a lot of "historical" cars - especially 88s. Not as many as the modded ones, but keeping a time capsule original Fiero is still popular. Even more so for the special models, like 88 CJB GTs.

Now all you have to do is bring it to 25th anniversary and not only will you see OEM Fieros, but be able to go them all to see truly if your Fiero is completely correct and the best representation of a Stock 88 GT. Nice Car!

Thanks all!!! I know mine is 100% stock. Also only 11,500 on the clock. It still even has the original speakers! Original wires and cap as well. Oil is not original so i guess it isn't 100% (LOL). I am really hoping to make it the the 25th Anniv but I am stationed in England and it may be a bit difficult to get back. Gonna try though!! A couple more pics.

For it's time...the 10987 Honda Hurricane CBR600 was the bomb! I was working at a Honda dealership at the time it came out,and bough an identical bike as the one above for myself. Honda's first CBR600 was a breakthrough machine in a number of ways. To start, its unique full bodywork allowed designers to forego the usual engine and frame cosmetics, and instead devote development dollars to pure performance. The result was 83 bhp from the CBR's liquid-cooled inline-four,superb handling, and a dry weight of 396.8 pounds--making the Hurricane the lightest, most powerful 600 available for 1987.

I agree. I have an 87 GT and an 88 CJB GT with 130,000 and 98,000 respectively. Other than a stereo upgrade, both stock original. Mostly. I did do some Mr Mike's leather seats in one but picked the OEM design for the 87GT. Even were they low mileage I would drive them. I do want better performance but do enjoy the stock looking motor so I have thought about a 3.4 push rod swap. Except I hear that it will only leave me wanting more. I also think about a 3800SC swap as I have seen some very clean ones which look factory to the uneducated eye. I can also see lowering it a tad to get rid of the unsightly wheel gap although keeping the stock size tires and the stock lace wheels. I am not a purist so my definition of original may not match yours but I like the original look. Even the dash. Not to say that I do not enjoy seeing mods others have done. Those that have chosen to have made some awesome Fieros.

Yes...not sure if he sold it. He claims I said his car was worthless. Actually, I said in my opinion it wasn't worth 8-9 grand with 145,000 miles. It is absolutely beautiful though.
I've kept my '88GT mostly stock. Any mods that I've made were made with the ability to return to stock with all the original pieces stored away, including the original tires. It had 1700 miles on it when I purchased it Christmas of '02. It now has something less than 9000 miles from cruising (no daily driver duty).

Niiiice looking Fieros, I especially like that '88 GT johnyrottin.
I used to have this '88 GT, it had 34,000 miles on it when I got it but it was perfectly cared for, and it was 98% stock. It only had rain on it maybe 1-2 times in its life, and never any snow:

I have a 88 GT that will be kept stock (for the most part) - the changes made (and can be put back - changes also have been done with correct parts): added power mirrors, installed 88 leather (on original lumbar seats), installed GM CD player and aftermarket speakers. Still have original cap and wires - and the tires and batteries are newer.
Does show some wear as it use to be a daily driver.

I have tried to keep mine stock looking...mostly. I did swap the Formula 4 spoke steering wheel for a GT style 3 spoke. I also went to 17" rims, although I am planning on returning to Fiero cross lace (but gold instead of black, I have mint set of 4).
Sorry, no current pics since it is hibernating from the winter. Here is a pic that isn't too old (before I went to 17" rims)...

I purchased my 88 GT last summer and plan to keep it 100% OEM. I would like to keep the Eagle GT+4's on the car, but they are showing cracks in between the treads. I'm not sure what my game plan is for tires. Unfortunately, the driver door was painted due to some imperfections.

Stock I get, but I don't understand you guys with 193 miles or 1,700 miles on the clock. Cars were meant to be driven. Sitting in the driveway, in a garage, or under a car cover is silly. Don't try to explain it. I have heard the argument. I just don't understand it. I have to drive my car to enjoy it. I am not trying to start an argument. Just my 2 cents.

I don't get it either, but If I had some or any of these cars above, I would do it too. Kind of useless for me to, none of mine are any where close to low milage and the only one that is some what show worthy is far from stock.
OhioIndy, you always make me dool! I've got something for indys and I don't know why. I want to get one one day like yours, lol.

lol - I seriously doubt that they are walking everywhere to keep the miles down. I am sure there is another car being driven.
