"I'll take a set" depended on cost. I know that $200-$250 is doable, but more than that is pretty hard to come up with right now. In my case, I would love an extra set, but what I have now is workable and in good enough condition. But who knows... in a year that may change. But should I spend $400 on a chance that I may need them? I will probably just piece together some mustang/camaro/fiero parts to make one if I need it at that time. The car isn't a show car anyway.

Just my thoughts.

No, as I said in the mall, we only heard about this four days ago. I do not have $500.00 laying around that I could not think of a way to use already. Plans coming to fruition. I need to redirect my priorities but can not cancel committments.
Post coming in the mall.

Greg,
Please check your info. You have your names confused. Your quarrel appears to be with FIEROPARTS.COM.
NOT fierowharehouse.

Fierowharehouse(sp?) is a different person entirely.
Fiero warehouse is owned and operated by Doug Kinney, with whom I have done business on many occasions.
He's a stand-up guy!

WTF you need to get your facts in order before you post this BS

Still crying over this? You got a email for the plate and you never replied, go cry to someone that cares. Sounds like a troll to me!

https://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum4/HTML/029192.html
sorry tim, not a troll. at 222 post per year compared to your 402 per year, i'm not the one trolling. its just your TACT and ETHICS that bother me. i realize these post makes it look like i'm crying but i stumbled upon this thread by accident while doing research for t-tops. then i saw the remarks you made to JSCOTT1 and they reminded me of our run in before. so i thought it was fair for some of your possible future customers to see just a couple of different ways you have screwed people over before.
QUOTE:I own a REAL Fiero parts business, (the kind that pays income taxes) I have been doing that since January 7th 1989 I do it to make money, to put food on the table, pay the bills and to keep a roof over my families head and to provide a service for the Fiero community. I just spent $651.29 to buy all kinds of other t-top seals to try and put something together for the t-top owner's that have a real need for these seals. So by telling the world that this is a GM or a Ford or a Toyota or a Nissan or a C&C or a what ever, t-top seal I won’t make any money now would I ? It gets harder and harder to stay in the business when no one wants to pay for parts that I have shelled out big bucks for or spent big bucks for or in the RD of a part. So I would mind sharing which seal(s) that are the closest match. So people can buy them from me or find out like I did (650.00 worth
of finding out) I stopped buying as soon as I got it this close.
I hope this answers your question.

Thanks Tim
UNQUOTE
tim, i 100% agree with this statement you made, as did probally anyone else hear who is self-employed, BUT, you did'nt need to express yourself so dramtically. IT'S CALLED TACT ! Someone running a business to a select group(fiero owners) IMO should not have a RED BAR! flame away if you must but i won't be returning to this thread. you may pm me. OUT.

He's not the one with the red bar. I wouldn't trust you with $5 letalone $500. I'm just waiting for the 'fieroparts.com stole my money and disapeared' thread. By the looks of said bar roughly 100 people agree. If anyone should be compared to Shaun or Stimpy, it's you.

I have a T-top here with no seals whatsoever... I plan to piece together some F-body seals and see if that works. Good luck to the people attempting to have new seals made. They won't work so well on my car anyway because it's chopped.

Casper

I'm a little surprised to see this comment from you. Since you looked into getting these made yourself I thought you would understand as well as anyone. Earlier in this thread you said you could get them made at $350 for 100 sets. While Tim's pre-order price was $480 for 50 sets. While more costly, they are also half the quantity. With that idea in mind, take your 100 reduce them to 50 then double the price to make up for the lower production numbers and you have $700 for a set of seals. Which is only $7 less than Tim is asking.

It's truly a shame that the people that said they would buy the 60 plus sets on this thread didn't man-up when the time came. Only a third of that has apparently came thru. Myself, my original seals are near perfect but I still pre-ordered 2 sets. I know they won't last forever and it's a possibility that I might buy another t-top Fiero sometime in the future and it would be nice to have spare parts. If I don't need the seals I can always sell them and make my money back or more.

Please don't take this the wrong way. I am not putting you down. I just don't understand why people are giving fieroparts.com such a hard time for actually doing something good for the Fiero community.

TM,

I figure I'll briefly reply to this. I think more of us may have opted in had their been a defiite "yes, these will be produced" or a production date. It's very difficult to place an undated check for $480 out there for something that may or may not have been produced, or a product that has no samples yet. There was no guarantee of product quality or even production. If there were deposits taken, I think more would have been sold at the "pre-sale

I'm not giving Fieroparts a hard time. As far as I am concerned, they're a reputable vendor, and can be trusted. I am simply giving a rationale why some of us may not have jumped in on the pre-sales. If he were to offer them for the $500 when they arrive, I bet he'd have quite a few sales.

Just wanted to help you understand why some of us may not have done the pre-sales.

True enough. I guess I'm going on good faith knowing that Tim has been the sole supplier of Fiero T-Top parts for the past several years and knowing that I feel he will get quality replacements reproduced. Luckily I'm well off enough that I can afford to put up the money and not be hurting. I can understand others might not be able to and that's fine. I just think it's in bad taste for people to be trashing someone who is getting parts made that the Fiero community needs. Not many people are willing to go thru all of that.

I tried contacting Tim more than once via phone and E-mail with no response two weeks prior to this deadline that was set. I wasn't sure if the deal was going through or not. I don't check in every day... But I'm not going to pay $717 for a set, $480 I was willing. I'll just use my C&C Camaro set. May not be absolutely prefect but most will never know the difference.

I have no phone messages or emails from you and nothing on caller ID that shows your name and no messages were left by you. Per your post 8 days ago you said you just found the thread of the seals for sale so not 2 weeks. Back in the first week of May anyone and everyone that posted in this thread was sent a email or a PM with the link to the thread with the seals for sale. After I saw your post in the other thread I sent you a email and below is what I got back. It looks like your email has issues, PM me.

This is what it will take to come out close to even with only 50 sets being sold. If I'm not allowed to get my investment back, then I simply would not do it, end of story!

Excuse me for not having my date exactly right. I received no E-mail from you back in May. No body else has problems sending E-mail so are you saying you've sent E-mails twice that got sent back to you? July 7 I believe that was the first time I had been on the forum in a few months. I did call so you better double check your caller ID, all your phone did was ring no chance to leave a message. I've spent hundreds if not thousands with you, so I'm I a little P/Oed......... yep. Just keep the seals because I will not not pay $717, that is way too much. Yes that is my opinion I'm sure you will want to say but I'll give it to you anyway.

emailed just once on July 7th. I never said twice. I checked my caller ID (both of them) before I posted that just be sure I did not miss it. It's all OK since your "P/Oed" no point in going on with this thread.
