I took three short videos of our 88GT with the 3.5 V6 Short Star. The problem is that I dont know how to post them? Can I send them to some one that can post them? One is starting the car and a walk around. The next is of the steering wheel. Turning the wheel with one hand to show the power steering. And an easy 0-60 run that shifts at 6700RPM and tops out at around 65mph. The last is a Freeway on ramp. That got up to around 90. Thanks for the help. Rick

The car will get to about 55mph and 6700RPM then shift into 2nd. So in the video I stayed in it tell I caught up with the car that went by me before I took off. It will shift into 3rd at about 95.

Wow im very impressed. I dont know how fast I can get up to in first with my setup. I would assume somewhere around 40-50?? Congrats though, lovely car.
Thanks. The 4T65E is a draw back on the S*. The gearing is WAY off for a high reving DOHC. It has good torque and all but the RPM drop from 6700RPM to 3000RPM at shift points is way to wide for this engine. I would love to have a 6 speed or a 5 speed

Ok, I beleive these files are just too big. I have dsl and it is just taking way to long to send. The videos are about 30sec long each (40MB). So, do I need to compress it or change something about it.
Sorry, thought this would be easier to do. I guess when you are computer illerate, it is hard to figure out

Someone please host these! so that we can see what the Northstars little brother can do!!!
Rick was nice enough to let me take her for a spin, and I can honestly say that it induces a serious case of perma-grin, and this is from someone who drives a SC3800 GT every day. This car is super sweet!

dang perma-grin from a 3800SC driver. It must be a sweet ride.
I am trying to send them again, but that @#!$%#@!$#$ Anti Virus is working like a virus. I turned off the "scan outgoing mail" and it scans it any way and takes for ever, then the E Mail says the fiels are to big.

I had that same problem try to close anti-virus completely and see what happens? I never tried that I pretty much said screw sending the file when I tried.
OK I sent a file to a server. So they will be up soon. They need to be resized for the web. I have only heard two 3.4 TDC's on is C West's from WCF and the other was posted as a sound clip. I dont remember who's sound clip it was but mine does not sound like eather one.
I posted one of wetpoops tdc from Gettysburg - it as catless and sounded mean - the vid wasn't great because the sounds maxxed out the mic on my camera so it has to be turned way down to sound more clean like it really sounded
WOW I reved mine up in one of the videos (in nutral it has a rev limmiter set at 3500rpm ) and it aint at all like that. Mine has a stock S* exhaust manifold with the stock S* cat and custom cat back. I have always heard that the 3.4TDC's are loud but the S* is not. I dont think mine was that loud with a stright pipe. It must have something to do with the conservative GM cam timing of the S* that keeps it down.
I talked to Songman and he set me up so I could send the files directly to his server as is. He will do the work to resize them and post a link to see them. I did turn off the Nortons and now it does not slow down the out going mail.
yeah the exhaust judges had a decible meter set up about a yard back from the bumper and the exhaust actually created a wind that was blowing their shirts around
my setup will be using the stock manifolds with a 2.5" high flow cat and two 2" tube mufflers
