OK , I I dont have the videos up yet so I gues I will tell a story
At work there are two of the new Ford Mustang GT's, one White and one Silver both are 5 speed V8's. They are nice cars, I know the guys that own them and I got to check them out. So today on the way to work one of them pulls up behind me realy quick, I was doing about 80. But he did not pass me. We pull up to a stop sign out in the "boonies". At work the people tell me that they can hear me pass people and like the sound, so I took off from the stop sign......well I gave it all I had to "let him hear my car" He was right behind me all the way up to 100mph and several car legnths behind me. He did not pass me till I let up at about 100. I parked next to him at work and he was "amazed" it took so long to pass me. I told him he was lucky I let off at 100 or he would not have passed me I know that I had no chance to beat him in a race, but I thaught it was cool that he could not get around me till I let up I had about two or three seconds on him when I took off, and he did not even seem to gain on me till I let off.

Just think what it will be like when your baby N* grows into a daddy N* (i'm gonna have to settle for a teenage N* for now)

I don't have any kittens to offer, but I can provide a baby seal that you can club!
Ah man that little guy is to cute to club.If you threatened to club him nobody would believe you. I got a black seal that hangs around my swim dock and even he is getting inpatient waiting for the vid.
I was wondering if it was going to be able to get put out there w/o a small riot on the forum.
Finals comming up soon, and after that there, I should be free to help w/ the front end if ya need it. There's a harness to attend to as well....been thinking about it, but thats about it.
The gauges are out of the Olds Intrigue donor car. I also have the key and ignition lock from it too. Along with the PCM, engine, tranny and gauges I also have the Body Control Modual and anti-lock brake modual and Keyless Entry system/anti theft syatem. The anti-lock system is not linked to the hydrolic system and I dont think I will link them. I just used it for the electronic system so I would not have any troble codes and "Limp Home Torque reduction Mode" The gauges have a 8000RPM tach and 140MPH speedo. In the video the engine is shifting at 6700RPM and tops out at around 90MPH. On the freeway I am cruseing at 70mph and 2000rpm. I passed a car and got up to 90mph before I let off. It would not be posable to use this gauge with the Fiero PCM. It uses a Serial Data Link from the PCM that runs most of the Gauges and lights.
This car does not have a mufler All it has is the stock 3.5 exhaust manifolds and the stock 3.5 Cat. I made a custom system to relocate the cat and added duel resinater tips. The system is a combination of 2.5" and 3" exhaust dough nuts and 2.5" "J" bends for the tips. In the Steering video you can hear the turn signal blinking, this is not much louder than stock. It just has a lower tone that you can hear coming up the street. It is not loud or obnoxous. But rev it over 4000 and it is louder than a stock Fiero Some day I may try to make a good header system for it so it will sound more like a DOHC engine. The engine sounds like a modified Fiero up to 4000, but over that it takes on a diferent sound. It sounds very cool and people around hear aways tell me it sounds realy good.
I want a tranny that will only drop the RPM's down to 4000 between shifts and not down to 3000 like the 4T65E. This engine does not like to drop that low and I like the sound of the revs up higher anyway. One of the biggest compaints I have with this swap is the tranny. It is a VERRY POOR choice for a DOHC engine. The shifts are so smooth that in town driving you cant even feel it shift at all. This all fine and dandy for a Caddy or an Olds but in a "Sports Car" I want faster firmer shifts. Even at full force this tranny is very soft. I dont fear spilling my open top drink cup in this car because it rides so smooth and the shifts are so soft I will get a shift kit and a Posi Dif some day but that is way off in the future.

i think that that is a sound that i could live with driving my car around town everyday
Rickady, i very much like the look and sound of that car, congratulations with everything you've done with that. BTW, have you ever been to a drag strip or anything with that car?

Does the 65e use a pressure solenoid? For the 80e, they have a pressure solenoid, and even at WOT, the pressure is not at 100%, but more like 75-80%. (of course it IS a caddy) What you can do (if you don't mind setting trouble codes, and having really uhh... "firm" shifts) is cut the wire that goes to the pressure control solenoid. I bet you'd be able to chirp the tires shifting into second after that Maybe just wire in a switch to go from "stock" to "performance" mode

Hmmm... what wire would that be? I'll have look in the shop manual. I would like a performance shift button. But one thing this button wouldn't do is change the shift points, which I would like. Thanks for the complements, I actually drive it around in 2nd just to hear it rev up.
No, haven't taken it to a drag strip. It's really not a dragster, the gear ratio is awful for that. It would be fun to get to a track someday.

Thats the exact exhaust set-up I have. Even in my SBC its quiet at idle. WOT is a different story Nice car!

The green wire! No! WAIT! DON'T CUT THAT WI....[boom]
I don't know. I don't have the manual for the 4t65e. But I am 85% sure that is the one that has the electronic pressure control (vs vacuum modulator for the 60e). Look for the tranny connector pinout in your diagrams if you've got it. It will be either one or two pins, depending on if it's internally grounded or not. Once you cut that wire (or route it through a switch in the interior), you'll be doing this:

It does on the 4t80e, and I don't see why the 4t65e would be any different. If they lose power, they're meant to fail in a "failsafe" mode, usually 2nd gear at full pressure.

But full pressure on every shift? I may be wrong. My accumulators are locked in place, and it doesnt shift too hard. Itll spin into 2nd, but not 3rd, unless its wet of course.

Think of it this way... When a transmission shifts, it takes a certain amount of time to go from gear 1 to gear 2. During that time, the engine is doing nothing but generating heat because of the clutch packs slipping (being applied and disengaged). By increasing the pressure, you are minimizing the slipping, minimizing heat generated by the slipping, maximizing tranny life, minimizing shift time... etc. It just really "rams home" each gear. Less actual time to move the shift mechanisms and less time to apply the clutch packs.
Plus, on top of that, your tranny can then handle more torque.
