MinnGreenGT makes an interesting observation. Archie didn't make one single post in "your" thread about 4.9 Fever. He started his own thread, which may have been a jab at you. Fine. But he left your thread alone. If he wanted to troll in your thread or take a direct shot at you, he could have posted his "cure" in your thread. He could have posted a link to his thread. He could have done a lot, but no, even when the discussion was about Archie's swaps, he didn't say a word.
But when it's Archie's thread, you can't wait to start causing trouble. Mastermind, you won't be here long if you continue to troll like that. Tom and Archie each have but 1 vote, like all of us in the rating system. If you're getting that many negatives, then a lot of people agree with them that you should be banned.

Ok Cali, fair enough. But for those interested in getting a fairer picture of what's going on should do a search of the word FEVER in subject only under the general Fiero chat forum. You will find only two threads. The first is one I started 07-23-2004 entitled "PFF Overcome By 4.9 Fever" then Archie started one 3 days later 07-26-2004 entitled "Cure Found For The Fever" was it a subtle or obvious swipe at me or just a coincidence? I'll let others be the judge. Also in regard to who or what is a contribution to the forum......I don't think one can say that someone is not contributing just because that cannot break a car down and name all its parts. I wondered how long it would take for this thread to go down hill and even when it did start down that path I kept my comments to myself as I usually do. I don't think my opinion is going to have any impact on anyone but I can't help but comment at this point.
I think I posted in Masterminds thread, I just wondered why peolple were having a negative attitude toward him and his thread, if you don't have something nice to say then move along was the basic message of my post (if memory serves). Several people said basically the same thing.
Archie could have been an a$$ and posted these pics along with the "cure" theme in Masterminds original thread, he didn't. He started his own thread, which I am sure was a little jab at masterminds original thread, but I took it to be in jest and he did have the courtesy to do it in his own thread rather than ruining someone elses thread (actually they are all OUR threads aren't they?). I'm sure that Archie did what he did for a laugh, I found it amusing, and to show some really great pics of SBC installs. I can't figure out how Mastermind got so offended, it just doesn't make sense to me.
I don't think the forum revolves around any one member or group of members, I certainly would not give someone a negative just because Archie or any other member did. As a matter of policy I usually refrain from rating people period, but I have been known to make exeptions to that rule and that decision is based on my OWN assesment of the situation and not on someonelses opinion of the member in question.
The reasoning Mastermind gave for his posts in this thread seem feeble at best, ignoring his own advice.

Some of you guys have vivid imaginations. Given some of the way out comments I think it's time to squash this.
Archie and I are not the Hatfields and the McCoys. My problem with Archie is not his V8 business or body kits. My ONLY problem with Archie has been the unnecessary insults and incivility of his remarks. That and ONLY that is what fueled my disagreements with him. Irresprctive of those facts, Archie has done nothing to make me want to try and physically harm him. And obviously PFF gives him much more latitude than others to degrade and insult members.
That notwithstanding, I plan on coming out to NIFE's meet to enjoy the company of other Fiero enthusiast including Archie. And yes I'm going to personally introduce myself.
BTW for all those expecting violence and/or a fight. There won't be any, unless WWE or Mike Tyson stops thru.

This was the first V8 Fiero that I got to see in person. The late Great Warber car. This was back in 95 at the Dells run. It's still my fav SBC Fiero. Personally I liked the fast back version a bit better.
