At the next meeting with the Gateway Fiero Club I'll get the numbers off the 88's there, plus a few other people who have 88's outside the club. I know of at least 15.

Panama, thanks for the CJB car. It had been reported at a junkyard awhile back and I guess it's still there. Glad to get the update on it, Good Job! What a shame it's a gonner.
Fiero87GT, thanks for spreading the word, that sounds like alot of potential cars.
Fiero John -WI, will do, going to add all this stuff in, should be ready on Monday. We'll have around 3510 cars.
Welsh Mt GT, Thanks for the info, are you the lucky guy who won the ebay auction last year? That looks like a good deal, hope it's giving you miles of smiles.
Raydar, sorry for the delay, but you were asking about TTOP cars. Well, right now we have right at 3500 cars in the database, and of these, 389 are CJB TTop cars and 49 are Non-CJB cars. 3500 cars is around 13.3% of the total built. 389 CJB cars is around 31.1% of the 1252 CJB cars built. The reason the CJB percentage is so much higher is that Ray Paulk has kindly sent me the basic info on the TTOP registry cars. Not owners info, just the car info. He's done this several times over the years, which is one reason the CJB number is higher. Looking at the database by model and color, the highest number of CJB cars are Bright Red GTs, at 97 cars, followed by Bright Red Coupes at 47 cars, and then Bright Red Formulas at 46 cars (including 1 Mera)! Since they made so many Red 88s, it's not surprising I guess that they are the king of the roost in the database. On the other hand, I have at least one of every model in every color, except for Silver Formulas. I know of a couple of Non-CJB TTop Silver Formulas, but no CJB ones. For those looking for hen's teeth, this appears to be one. By the way, I have 12 Yellow CJB GTs, 17 Yellow CJB Formulas, and 2 Yellow CJB Coupes. Silver is definately second to Yellow in the numbers game.
Thanks for the info guys, keep up the good work.
John

Yes John my Car was on EBay just before Christmass. It did not meet the reserve so I called the owner when it went off and worked out a price. As far as driving it the only miles I put on was the trip to carlisle for the Kit Car show. The weather around here is only good for ducks.
Thank ILVMYGT, that's a new car for the database, thanks for the complete rundown on it. With less than 30,000 miles on it, that's got to be a gem. Can you tell me the factory wheel color for your car too? Thanks!
Welsh, got some precip up there, eh? 8)
linenoise, saw your post with the BIG pictures, looks good, wish my daily driver with 169k on it looked half as nice. I've just got to get mine painted. Thanks for the info, this is also a new car for the database, and I'll add both ILVMYGT's and yours in tonight.
Been a while since I helped you out on the Database numbers.

2000RagTop, Thanks for the info on both cars. I had some info on the first one, but not all that you provided, and the second one is all new. Good to get them in the database. Since you're near Appleton, I'll ask you if you ever saw a white GT that was for sale at a dealer there, for what had to be more than a year. He was asking for alot of money, and I'm just wondering if you saw it and if it was worth it!
KRMFiero, that's a new one too, and with the ALDL too boot! That date fits right in too, thanks for the good data.
Loyde, Loyde, Loyde. What can I say? You've been holding out on me BIG TIME! Just kidding, thanks for taking the time to send me all that good stuff. It'll take me a good bit just to enter in all the data you gave me, and it makes me very happy to do it. One more selfish request though, can you get the week in 9/87 that JP203618 was built? This is the earliest car that I have info on, and pinning it down to the week would be a real boon. Either way, it's a real bonanza of data, thanks for the help. I kind of suspect that the date on the ALDL is going to be in August...

Hey linenoise, you betcha! From the VIN, your car was number 22,842 of the 26,402 built in the 1988 production run, which started in July 1987 and ran through Aug 1988. Although we don't have enough data to say with absolute certainty yet, it is looking very likely that the ALDL date is tied pretty closely to the production date of these cars! The dates on the ALDL connector stickers all start with the date of a Monday, which makes sense from a production point of view. Also, from the admittedly small sample I've got (around 20 cars spread over 18 weeks), so far every VIN and ALDL date line up nicely with the other dates. All in all, I'd say it's likely that your car was made sometime during the week of May 9th, 1988. Kind of neat!
NSAN1T, thanks for the info, that's a new one for me and I appreciate the particulars on it. That is one of the first cars off the production line, if you ever are under the center console, please grab that ALDL sticker date for me! Your car was prob built in the first week of production, and I don't have that date nailed down yet.
Nebiros88, I did get the basic info from Ray, but I'll make sure my entry has all these codes to round out the picture. Thanks for typing them all in.
And Thanks to All for the much appreciated help!

Wow thanks, It was bought 03/02/1989, somewhere in Florida. So it was almost a year old before leaving the lot.

Too bad its in the JY since it didn't appear to be wrecked. Oh well, I found a few goodies to grab from this car, so its not a total loss.

I'm looking at a white 88 Formula tomorrow to buy, shall get the VIN number for you. Have a question for you, do you have any photo's of any white Formulas ? I'd like to see some. I'm used to seeing GT's.
Is there anything unique to Formulas that I should look at ?
Thanks for any details

The original color of the rims is black. I bought the car in June 02 from an auction on Ebay. It had 20,300 miles on it then. It was neat as a pin when I got it. It’s my first Fiero and my daily drive. I got tired of driving my truck to work everyday. I just put bright custom wheels on it. I found the black on black be to dark. I also got tired of looking through the wing and removed it. I am hooked. I bought an 86 Fiero GT for my son.
Hey John! I found the owner of that yellow coupe in Tehachapi! He came to our gathering the other night. He wasn't in that car though. He was in a white 84 that looked like a Formula! The car is still over there... The owner builds custom Fieros and that car is the basis for his dream.

Med. Red coupe hardtop, 2.5L, grey interior, no power options. 5-speed.
Once again, a car that wasn't wrecked, apparently was just unwanted and wound up in the junkyard. Sad.
Yeah thats how my Formula was. A car that was not maintaned (till i got it) and the person just didnt want it.
