Hey guys, need to replace my brake hoses. I would actually prefer to only buy the front lines at this time but fierostore.com only has it as a complete set. Just curious if anyone else sells them, and if they do, do they sell only the front? Thx!

I do not know of anywhere that sells them other than the Fiero Store, but here is an observation. I bought the lines from the Fiero Store about six months ago. While searching for some AN fittings recently, I noticed the very same exact fittings that the Fiero Store hoses use in the Hydraulic Supply shop that I was at. The braided hose cost only $2.50 per foot and the fittings were less than $5.00 each. I did not ask how much they would charge to make the hoses, but it has to be cheaper than what the Fiero Store wants for theirs. Check out a hydraulic supply or repair shop in your area. You might find what you want there.

on the brake lines Fiero Store's prices are the same if not a little cheaper than all the vendors I could locate. Throw them a bone. They put a lot of $$$ into R&D for the Fiero community even if they are overpriced on some things.

I got mine from them. 9 months on and now problem. The braiding was good quality and they fir right into place. They are Earl lines, which is what most everyone carries. So as far as quality I would suppose they are the same since they are made by the same manafacturer. I am not sure if some1 like WCF is making there own or not.

One thing to remember is that the braided brake lines will not change the feeling of the brake pedal. The braided covering is to prevent road debris damage. Thus race cars use them. Call any race car parts supplier and they will tell you the same thing. Many people think they do make the pedal firmer only because they are replacing old worn out rubber lines. Then yes they do make the pedal feel firmer. If you install new rubber lines then switch to the braided lines you will not feel a change. Only reason to get braided lines is for the look.
I plan on doing the Grand Am brake upgrade . I gave Auto Zone a call and priced out a complete set of brake hoses, there price came to about $ 82 . For an extra twenty bucks you can purchace a set of " Earl's " steel braided brake hoses from the Fiero Store . I've checked around and the Fiero Stores price on the steel braided hoses are a good deal .Hope this helps .
