C500 pin A1 14g Drk Grn wire to C203 or ALDL?

I missed tagging this wire and am wondering what its purpose is? The car is an 88 base coupe. The only apparent option is A/C. It was a 4cyl/5speed Isuzu.

The wire in question has the type of connector that fits either the C203 and or the ALDL. Anyone have a clue?

Thanks,
charlie

Yank it out.
Or keep it for a free wire.
I fought with this yesterday while wiring an engine swap.
After searching and searching, 3 threads led to the conclusion that GM put the wire in but never used it.
I understand it terminates somewhere under the dash. But is not used by anything.
(edited to say wait for a second opinion but I'm 98% sure on a 86' and 87.5% sure on an 88)
Someone back me up?

Thanks Bubbajuju,

After comparing the length of the wire to others going to the C203 and the ALDL, it appears that this wire was going to the ALDL. Makes no sense to me either. If it does go to the front I will try to find it and use it for the trunk release as I have an electric release on the rear deck lid from my body swap.

Anyone else have an idea?

Thanks spark1, I tried to give you a "+" too but alas, I have already done so for a/c help.

I will try to find where it terminates.

Anyone know offhand where the C100 connector is located? I assume under the dash?

C100 is the connector that goes to the front compartment. It's actually two connectors inside the compartment, the top one goes to A/C heating and the bottom one to front lights.

I think the wire from C500 A1 goes to G7 on the C100 and was to be used for the power steering.

edit: Maybe on F7 as mentioned in the link. Hard to tell without removing the connector to trace it out.

thanks again spark1! that should be enough info to quickly trace it down. I will have to see if I need to add wires for the truck release then I should be set.
