Anybody out there had the experience to find a shroud with twin fans to fit our application? Last summer, when it got to 110, baby got HOT and only went down, (some) when I turned the A/C off. I've got a big custom radiator but it seems not efficient enough!

The owner's manual instructs you to turn the AC ON when overheating starts. If the radiator fan hasn't already started running when temps rise, turning on the AC makes the fan run full time.

A working Fiero cooling system will have no problem with the stock engines. If you're overheating, you've got a problem. Bad thermostat, kinked cooling lines, bad fan/switch/relay, failing water pump, etc. Even just air in the system will bring it to it's knees.

Cold-running means better gas milage and horsepower! I've thought about installing a dual-fan system but haven't looked into it much yet. Let me know how it works for you? But keep the things in mind that were posted by the other guys, if there IS a problem with your baby staying too-close to hot, -it's better to be safe than sory.

you could look into a dual fan-push/pull type off of the c4 vettes. the main one like we have comes on at the desired temp but when the a/c came on there is a fan on the FRONT of the radiator that pushes air through the rad while the one on the back pulls...just a thought
There is a member here, her real name is Tina, but I cannot remember what her screen name is right now... But she has a twin fan setup, and I once asked about this, and she of course had said it was all custom.... So I doubt there is an off the shelf item for the fiero in this dept..................

Man! ...Lots of posts but no one has an answer! I've got a modded 2.8 and a Custom built 4-core Radiator. When it goes over 100 degrees in the San Juaquin Valley, Baby tends to get a little Warm!

If you really wanted to improve cooling, you could add a hood vent. Would make the front end a bit more stable at high speeds as well, and give you an excuse to repaint things. But I still think there's something wrong with the cooling system.

can't you just search for an aftermarket fan for the size of the radiator? For example I found a 27" dual fan for '80 Firebirds, but it will work with any radiator 27" ??? or am i wrong?
*edit*- I should mention i have no idea what the size for our Fiero radiators is

Cold running means bad gas mileage! The hotter your engine runs the more efficient. That is why everyone running a cold temp fan switch and lower thermostat get worse mileage compared to stock setup. I'm running a stock radiator that was originally on a 4 cylinder with a DOHC 3.4 and stock 195 degree thermostat and even with AC on it never runs hot. Most GM cars from 80's run a 190-95 degree stat. and fan temp sensor comes on between 220-234 degrees. I ran the lower 180-85 stat . and temp. switch in my performance rebuild 3.1 stroker. Best I can get on highway with it was 17mpg which sucks.
