The media has not been "mum" on this very particular point. It's the media (MSNBC) that pointed me to this Twitter message from that same person that Hudini has just singled out in his message here.

If I thought that were a violation, I wouldn't have done it.
A very occasional "highlighting pen" (what I did) VS umpteen years and literally more than a thousand uber-insulting and supremely uncivil messages on forum member randye's "resume."
It's no coincidence to see the forum's Karl Marx-obsessed uber-right wing reactionary lining up with the newly emerging conspiracy theory enthusiast on this point.
Great minds think alike.

Two more thoughts.
I hope Hudini comes back here and sees the Twitter message from Chris Krebs which I posted here. That's three messages before this one.
As far as my use of "GFY", even if I had a mind to go back and erase it, it's already been captured. I think I should just leave it.
As far as the Reply that came from sourmash, where he refers to Lawrence O'Donnell, I think it's conspicuous in the way that it does not address the substance of my message. The message that I started with "GFY."
But maybe he's on target (sort of) in saying that I am only solidifying the opposition that clearly exists here--actually predominates--to my unmistakably liberal to progressive-ranging repertoire of conversation. I won't say that I like everything about the Democratic Party's representatives, across the boards, but (figure of speech) I am part of what amounts to Pennock's Off Topic section "Democratic caucus." Even more so, since the beginning of the Trump presidency.
I don't think I'm changing anyone's ideas. I am satisfied to offer alternative messaging and (of course) the Internet page links to online material that I think is interesting or relevant. The "read option" as I called it, when I opened up this topic.[This message has been edited by rinselberg (edited 12-20-2020).]

As you should have learned from the fate of your buddy, it doesn't matter what YOU think.
It's not your forum and you don't make or interpret the rules.

I believe the question being asked (tho not directly is "What drives you to post these type messages?" "What is the real purpose behind it?"
Surely, it isn't to spread the 'news' as everyone here is almost certainly capable of doing their own perusing of the news in any number of ways.*
(Years ago, a member named Avengador1 used to post multiple news articles every day, usually from far right sources such as The Drudge Report and WND and most were seemingly to heap scorn upon the left and President Obama. There were a lot of political jokes/cartoons as well mostly each individually wrapped in it's own thread title.
That would have been fine except for the sheer volume of it too often bumped active conversations and non-political topics off the front page. * His explanation was that he was doing a public service to the OT community that might not have a good 'news feed'.
It all came to a head one day after another member bumped all avengagor1's posts up to page one and prompted CliffPto make an Aug 2020 type move.)

There was a thread, in which he was complimented for his daily jokes. As I look back at it now, I found it interesting that such a large # of it's participants are now banned. http://www.fiero.nl/forum/A...050119-6-026243.html

But, currently, the way I view OT on my laptop there are 40 threads per page, with the 1st 3 being CliffP's 'stickyposts' leaving 37 spots for other threads. Rinselberg looks to be making no more posts than other daily users, tho his posts do seem more weighted towards politics than some others.
Top # of threads (quantity wise) by originator are. #1=MeM-13 threads.
#2=maryjane-6 threads.
#3 and #4 a tie=rinselberg-5 threads/2.5-5 threads.
#5= In no particular order-an 8 way tie with one each: Wichita, htexans1, sourmash, jake_dragon, James Bond 007, TheDigitalAlchemist, williegoat, olejoedad

You're leaving it because you're really telling Cliff to GFH in his own forum where he said not to do such. Because that's your only role on this forum, to disrupt and antagonize even if it's the owner of the forum.

Well, sourmash, you are in a space (or a place) where I don't want to be. That's your privilege. If I'm fortunate enough to catch Hudini's eye with this message, and if he has not already done so, I hope he will put himself into Reverse (so to speak) and back up exactly 8 messages before this one, where I posted that Twitter message from Chris Krebs. Not just the Twitter message from Chris Krebs, but the very brief remarks that I used to frame it.
