Mayor Pete is not old enough to remember the unlikely ending of Spike Jones’ rendition of the William Tell Overture: And the winner………….Buttigieg
Old Joe is feeling kind of low, with the words of James Taylor on his mind: “Ain't it just like a friend of mine to hit me from behind? I'm going to Carolina in my mind.”
Bernie is singing “Three Wheels on my Wagon”.
There is some audio circulating which might just take the Bloom off the Berg. We shall see.
Likely results of NH: Bernie, Pete has an outside chance.

Buttigieg, what he's probably got going for him is another recognition "card" . He could be "the first...." Like Obama, and like Hillary tried to run for...
But then:
"For Ivins, Buttigieg was gay, but he was not queer. This might seem like semantics to older, and straight, voters, but for some millennials it matters. " " Is it possible that we have reached a stage where a gay candidate for president could lose a critical demographic for not being gay enough?" https://www.theguardian.com...ocrats-poll-reaction
Yeah, I am surprised that Buttigieg is doing so well. America was ready for a black president, and I think we are ready for a female president, but I think it will be a very long time (if ever) before we see a homosexual president.
But I didn't think Trump would make it past the primaries, either. What really bothers me, though, is that there are a lot of forces working against the will of the people.
With about one third of the precincts in, Pete is slowly but steadily gaining on Bernie; while Amy is nipping at their heels. Lizzy and Joe are getting about as much respect as the professor and Mary Anne in the first version of the Gilligan's Island theme song.

Buttigieg was never running to be President. He is but a puppet to display "the normalicy of a "queer", per capita, sexual relationship which people find queer.
Biden ? Has he ever won anything ? Have any of his sponsored bills ever passed ?
Not one of these Dumbs think that they are going to win. Neither do the lame stream media. They need noise to keep their sheeple occupied and to keep them from being woke by sensible thoughts.
Mayor Pete, lecturing Christians on Christian values.
Quid Pro Joe, saying he is the only one who can beat Trump. He is the only one who can get the African American vote. Uhh, …. Joe ? Don't you also need White votes ? What happened in Iowa and NH ?

I'm confused. What's "per capita" got to do with it? Are you punning or double entendre'ing on the word "queer?"
That sentence violates the Standard Model of Quotation Marks. There are an odd number (3) of quotation or " marks. That cannot be. I think you omitted a quotation mark that you meant to have included immediately after the letter "y" in "normalicy." But the proper spelling is "normalcy."
That sentence is abnormal--in fact, it's downright queer.

Pete's comments … "For an event many thought could not happen, it has shown we are here to stay."
Pinochio Hauntis . You have a plan for everything. What's you plan for forth place ? What's you plan to drop out ?

I am typing with one finger and a thumb, with one hand. Is that why you are confused ? I would hate to think of you as a dumb azz, even though you do vote dumb.

Joe, that seems to be thinkin like a racist. Way to keep the sheeple divided.

I have my doubts about African American support for Biden. Obama is not endorsing him and there is that whole Corn Flake, Pop Tart (or whatever) hairy leg story.
From what I have been reading, Trump might get a substantial percentage of the African American vote.
However, the idea that anyone should or will vote a certain way because of his genetic composition is absurdly outdated. I wish the focus were on different, more meaningful demographic criteria. What about us vintage, mid-century, classic models? How will the Geezerati vote?
Nevada may well turn out to be another Charlie Foxtrot. The system is much like Iowa with the added fun of early voting starting on Tuesday. I'm gonna hafta stock up on popcorn.
I don't want to say that the Nevada Democratic Party has a history of corruption, but......no.....wait.....that is exactly what I want to say.

Phoenix will host a candidate debate March 15, two days before voters go to the polls for the state’s presidential preference election, the Democratic National Committee announced Friday.
So Farfetched Wakaria says Bernie is a Dog Faced Pony Soldier. Does this mean that you think Bernie will win the upcoming Nevada Caucus? Or does this have some other, more far reaching implication for the primary process as a whole?
I don't know, something about Fareed Zakaria's 4+ minutes video presentation just took my fancy. He seemed clear-eyed and lucid. And "on point" with the numbers and the Pie Chart.
I didn't know that Bernie had used "2030" in talking about a timeline for achieving a Zero Emissions power grid for the U.S.

That's unrealistic.
So, some talking head's eyes "took your fancy" and you decided that you wanted to tell the world by including some random energy consumption graphs in a thread about the Democratic primaries? I'm going to guess that this is not one of those "straight" messages that you refered to in another thread. (no, this is a rhetorical question. It does not require an answer)
Bernie Sanders (it should go without saying) is part of the Primary process.
"What makes the 2020 election historic for climate change." Google on that and you will likely retrieve a fairly recent column from Axios(.com)
I could move it to some other Topic (thread), if that be your preference. And delete all of our back and forth about it. At least my part of that. Just change all of my messages here into ". . ." The SERVPRO treatment ... "Like It Never Even Happened."

So are cars, cell phones and liquor stores.

All you had to do was give it some context, something like: “Here is an article which makes a good case that Bernie Sandals’ energy policy is not viable. I think that his environmental stance will ever increasingly prove to be an albatross around his neck, in the upcoming election cycle.”
Then I could reply with something like: “I don’t think most leftists are swayed by facts.”
And you could follow up with: “Who you callin’ a leftist, boy?”
See how that works?
Oh, and as regards the environment, I’m all for it, I’m glad we have it, I can’t imagine living without it.
Bernie and Joe are both six feet tall. Mini Mike, Mayor Pete and Lizzy Warren are all 5'8" and Klobuchar is 5'4". No matter how you arrange them, Joe and Bernie are going to look like freakish giants in Vegas, tonight.
I would watch if it weren't for Trump's rally tonight.
Between Joe's "Dog faced pony soldier" and Mini Mike's "Horse faced lesbian", this season is shaping up to be a delightful deluge of zoomorphic zingers.
And these people accuse Trump of being less than civil.
I thought I'd mention this, just in case someone tries to tell you the democratic primaries are more than just a dog and pony show.
President Trump has just appointed Richard Grenell as the Acting Director of National Intelligence or DNI. It's the first selection of an openly gay man or woman to a Cabinet-level office in U.S. history. Grenell, who is the U.S.Ambassador to Germany, will have the Acting DNI role on top of his continuing duties as the State Department's "top banana" in Germany. This NBC News report describes Grenell as the "architect" of a U.S.-led effort to seek the decriminalization of homosexuality in the 68 countries around the world where it is punishable by law.
quote
Since Grenell's efforts were announced almost a year ago exactly, just one country has decriminalized homosexuality: Botswana, where the high court overturned the ban in June as part of a legal challenge that started long before 2019, according to Ryan Thoreson, an LGBTQ researcher for Human Rights Watch.
Until you mentioned it I had no idea he was gay. And I didn't and don't care either.
Why are you so interested about that?
I think his interest is obvious. What is less clear is what the sexual preference of a cabinet appointee has to do with the primaries. This is his second attempt to derail this thread.
It is being reported that the U.S. government has informed the Sanders campaign of Russian meddling intended to boost Bolshevik Bernie in the primaries.
I have two questions: 1) Why was Trump not given the same courtesy in 2016? 2) When does the Sanders impeachment trial start?

I can answer those two questions.
1st, the deep state, meaning the DOJ, FBI, CIA and others was still populated by Obama personnel and they wanted to keep Trump out of office and later to get him remove anyway possible.
2nd, To Impeach him, he would have to be president first. And that ain't going to happen.
Comrade Sanders isn't the only actual Marxist in the current bunch.
I'm still astonished that nobody has yet discussed "Pete The Red Diaper Baby"
Say hello to Petey's daddy.
Petey's daddy was a COMMUNIST from Malta and is a long time hero, and The Founding Member and President, of the International Gramsci Society
Antonio Gramsci was an Italian COMMUNIST that died in prison in 1937. Petey's daddy, (with Petey's acknowledged help), was dedicated to making sure that Comrade Gramsci's written works of COMMUNIST ideology didn't fade into obscurity.
Gramsci was the originator of the idea that Communists could prevail by controlling the universities and culture and thereby indoctrinating new generations of youth.
There are a LOT of questions that need to asked of Pete that don't have anything to do with his homosexuality.....

I never took Buttigieg seriously, and still don't. He will end up like Francis O'Rourke, another "That name sounds vaguely familiar, who was he?"
I absolutely agree.
My point is simply that the vast majority of people have NO IDEA who and what these characters really are. It requires at least a whiff of genuine curiosity and a willingness to do some actual research.
Super Tuesday is only eleven days away and a lot can happen in that time, but at this point I see Sanders or Bloomberg, with an outside chance for Warren. I cannot see any way they can breathe life back in to Biden.
Bloomberg is starting to pick up a lot of dirt, but he has a lot of money. Sanders could be formidable if he can mobilize the young, idealistic and ill informed. When I think of Sanders, I hear echos of George McGovern.
Warren, I just don't have a solid feel for her viability.
This could be like 1972: Trump v. Sanders could be Nixon v. McGovern. Nixon took 49 states, McGovern took Mass and DC.

That be like derailing the Central African passenger train. It’s pre-derailed.
The image that precedes my Grenell-centric message is an appalling eyesore.
It provoke me to add a message of no great import, just to push that image farther back by the distance of ONE quantum message slot, relative to Last Post.

FAIL
Just like you have failed THREE TIMES now to derail the topic of this thread with your mental illness.
Sanders is pulling out all the stops. Out on the campaign trail in his daisy dukes, courting the gay vote...
