Is your engine a recall motor as well? Mine has the black valve cover instead of the silver one too. I have documentation of the engine being replaced by the dealer.

I thought it was till this past fall when I decided to repaint it. I took it off and was going to prep it for paint. I looked and noticed the decal under the black paint. Someone just painted the valve cover.
