I get one every year. Some years they hit it right and the predicted strain matches closely with the actual strain that arrives from China. Last year was a miss though. They were way off on the strain that hit the west. I will get one this month while I am home. It's cheap insurance if they get it right and I'm no worse off if they guess wrong.

Yeppers, got the flu shot and will soon be getting the new Shingles shot. Went through the Shingles thing two years ago....... Definitely don't want to repeat that event!

My immune system is still pretty good, so no flu shots for me. I'd rather see it go to someone who actually needs it.

My doctor has been pushing me to get the shingles shot. I had them when I fives years old and was told once you have them your immune. Kind of like the chicken pox being in the same viral family. So I am not sure. I will be getting the flu shot.

Back in the 90s at my workplace, a fellow worker and I were the only ones to get flu shots. Whereas most of the others were from India and untrusting of shots; they (the other 34 people) all got the flu, with most out sick for two weeks or more! Two or three got phenomia too!
