Keel you dont know me i dont know you. I work full time day job from 630 to 3pm daily. 5 days a week. I work part time every other week as on call repairman for a company that does redemption. At their processing plant. I repair automation. And i also service their store drop off location technical issues. (unmanned stations).
I also work for Advance Auto on EVERY single day that i dont have my kids. which is a 50/50 split. Averages about 20 hours a week.

I have a plowing business up here in maine. I do auto repair side work on the side for mostly friends and family. I have my girlfriends daughters car next in line to finish welding new rockers.
And I just finished rebuilding my 75 year old parents sunporch for them for nothing. My dad is 75 and has been given 6 months and is on hospice.

I am divorced have a mortgage child support. This truck is my friends only means of transportation. And I have been sharing my vehicle till we can get it sorted out. So call me what you will at more then 100 dollars an hour for labor at the dealer it is something neither of us is in position to do. Or we would. if there was one around that i could trust.

And you missed the part about my post on the f150 forum having NO responses at all. No one there has offered one iota of help. It has only been here.

I dont know what exact issue you have had with me or this thread. Nor do i any longer care. I will continue to try to fix this POS truck for my friend. if your only position here is to call me a parts changer and to send huge amounts of money to my local ford dealer whom many so called techs i already know and dont trust. then your opinion while valid and you have every right to is neither helpful nor wanted. But as you have every right to your opinion. I thank you for your time in posting.

And your point?? So you work like everyone and try to help when you can, you are not helping your friend by dumping parts at it..
You tried one ford forum, there are MANY.. including mustang forums, that have owners that race that tow to the race with a ford!!!!!!!. They also have ford techs that also cruise the forums.. Facebook love it or hate it has ford and ford truck pages/groups did you even try there????
Your mad at someone that told it to you straight.. You can't fix it, take it to someone that can.. you didn't like that reply so you post that above, come on..
No way he knew about the hardships nor should it matter, How many parts you return defective to advanced try'n to fix this? and advanced having to eat the parts you fried?? Get off your high horse.. go to forums that can help, go join f/b groups that can help, or take it to a shop local that does fords. You claim to work at advanced, when I moonlighted there I picked shops brains while I was there, have you?? or are you just fry'n parts cause advance can afford to eat the cost..?

Me, I'd hit the mustang forums/ groups and or yellowbullet as race cars get towed by trucks.. That is my advise.. It's a 5.4 mod motor it's most likely the chains.. but I'm here and not there, so.. good luck, Steve

All good Keel. Try and not get bent over a project that is not yours. Questions are being asked and answered. Only you can prevent forum fires.

Just a Ford guy myself, and knowing of a few known F150 issues, I hopefully pointed our fellow member in the right direction. The F150 forums are dead as far as advice. Great for searching out knowledge, but absolutely horrible for a quick response. I have played this game for over the past dozen or so years. Long before I came here, and I find myself doing it again with this engine install that I have ahead of me.

He can't help since his last post shows he hasn't a clue as to what is going on.

Well i thought i had it tonight. Took the pcm harness off. Looked perfect. But cleaned it anyway. Really went at the battery terminals. Started it up. Previously it would only run for 15 min the first time. before stalling. It idled more than 30 min this time then played with it drove it around yard. shut it off restarted fine ran for 10 15 min. Left it idling. As i was walking back in it died. Same symptoms. Wouldnt connect to scanner and after cycling key it scanned. This time it gave me same code plus O2 sensor. But it was fine for about a whole hour. Started it at 945 and just died about 10 min ago. Big difference from last night to tonight is tonight weather wise is its a lot colder out.

At this point im not going to bother to respond to the negative comments ill take being called a parts changer or even not acknowledge the hit to my integrity with the accusations of returning parts and defrauding the company i work for. All the parts i have spent for is 2 relays and a fuel pump (which was actually junk. ) All of which still reside in the truck. The MAF was one my buddy had for his own truck which he installed after i tried it in his own. The MAF idea came from a garage i deal with. It was worth ruling out. So no I am not a crook. Thank you very much.

Not really, I have pain that is crippling me without pain meds per the doctors but I will not take pain killers.. So I am very very sore all the time, and it don't take much to light the fuse..

yes forums are slow, that is why I listed mustang and yellow bullet as race cars get towed and it just might get traction there, or facebook ..
Maine= rust that = bad grounds and faulty grounding "loops" .
