No one gave a damn before. Good job caring now though. So warm and fuzzy. The "Plastic Media" has everyone sad over a lion that most never even heard of before this media circus. I agree that it is not pretty, but legal is legal. If any animal is poached, criminals should suffer fines much stiffer than now. I would easily vote for a lifetime hinting ban for poachers.

Animals are often killed for sport. Regulation hunting is 100% agreeable with me. I will let those that pass out hunting licenses be the judge of animal management in their particular area.

"Plastic media" - good one!

On a side note, it's funny how so many get so upset over the killing of an "innocent" Lion or Giraffe but they could care less about PLANNED PARENTHOOD murdering human babies and then selling their body parts for profit!

Its the photo that YOU POSTED Scooter.
Right along with YOU saying: "He was already on a year's probation for lying to government officials about a bear he shot and killed in Wisconsin."

Suppose you tell us what YOU intended by it.

Is that an illegally hunted bear?
Where was the photo taken and When?
Is it even the same guy in question?

OH MY! "POOR DEAD BEAR AND MEAN OL' HUNTER IN A PICTURE!"

You just toss out propaganda and crap and then deny any responsibility for it.

I would want jail time. Hard to say everything that is needed writing on an internet forum. I will work harder so that you have a better understanding. I am sorry that I did not take the time to address questions that I did not know you would ask. Sofa King sorry.

It sounds like dentist boy is a poacher. If he is, then let him rot. I have no compassion for ilk.

I can agree on sport hunting dangerous game (lions and tigers and bears, oh my ) as long as they're not lured off a preserve. I can agree on sport hunting small game, which requires a lot of skill. I definitely agree on hunting for food and I know of people who have poorly paid jobs that poach deer to feed their families and have no problem with that. But killing a giraffe is like killing a dolphin, manatee or golden retriever - how much challenge and skill can it take to kill docile animals ? Then grand-standing about it is pretty despicable if you ask me.

While it may have been legal to kill an animal off the sanctuary, was it legal to lure one off to kill it or even ethical if no law exists currently for such a situation assuming that's what actually happened?

Either way, honestly this is a side show. It's a giraffe, what's your government doing? Your city police? and so on...

I don't see it as a 'sport'. In most sports the participants are fairly evenly matched. In this case the hunter sneaks up on his quarry that doesn't even know that it is in the game. The target is just going about his business of living and minding its own business when all of a sudden BLAM game over. I'm not innocent. When I was younger I went out in the woods with my gun and thought that it was great fun. A live shooting gallery. I wish that someone had told me how wrong I was. I value all life now and don't think that just because my species is more intelligent that makes it all right to slaughter anything less intelligent. I still enjoy guns but I would only shoot any other living thing in self protection. I'm a hypocrite in that I still eat meat but in all honesty I want someone else to do the killing for me so that I don't have to witness it.

Yeah, I don't understand why some people can't make that connection. Who are we to decide life and death of other living creatures... for "sport"? To hang a head on a wall? It's barbaric and disgusting.

Are people the only creatures that hunt for "sport"?

How often do hunters just cut off a head or skin and leave the rest?

Is it more humane to kill an animal with a lethal projectile or to let it be torn to shreds by other animals?

Is it more logical to kill a giraffe and feed a village or let it die alone in a field where its meat rots?

How many animals have been "put down" or "put out of their misery"? If this is not humane, should vets be charged with animal cruelty?

"They showed me this beautiful old bull giraffe that was wandering all alone. He had been kicked out of the herd by a younger and stronger bull. He was past his breeding years and very close to death. They asked me if I would preserve this giraffe by providing all the locals with food and other means of survival. He was inevitably going to die soon and he could either be wasted or utilized by the local people. I chose to honor his life by providing others with his uses and I do not regret it for one second."

Maybe we can start posting some commercial meat processing photos so whenever people eat their steak, or hot dog, or KFC they can appreciate the roll they played in the death of an animal. It's only horriffic if you see it.

Ethical vegans excepted, of course.

There is great concern among the bleeding heart hunter haters that Cecil's offspring are in grave danger of being killed by other lions now that Cecil is gone.

Cecil's offspring aren't fairly or evenly matched to the other adult lions who seek to kill them. Cecil's offspring probably aren't aware they are being targeted by these other adult lions and won't know what is going on until: BLAM - game over.

So I guess it is a question of will the adult lion who kills Cecil's offspring eat them or not. If not, was this for sport? Or was it for something more sinister?

Man isn't the only creature who kills and may not end up eating his prey. It happens in nature all the time.

That having been said, I'm not a "sport" hunter. I eat what I kill. I have zero desire to hunt Lions, Tigers, Giraffes, Rhinos, etc. I just don't see the point of hunting and killing something if that meat is going to go to waste.

Perfect. Not a peep about your own hypocrisy.
Just senseless references to comedians, penises, groins and irrelevant dead animals.
The exact level of adolescent, puerile behavior and juvenile personal attack we have come to expect from you.

That word you Lefties love to use? Oh yes! Deflection!
Not a word about your own hypocrisy....just LOOK OVER THERE ---->

I suspect of the earlier images I posted, this is Randy's favorite.

Tell me Randy, when you go on your sport hunts... do you fantasize about holding and caressing the freshly killed beast? Or perhaps you've been able to go beyond just thinking about it? What's it like holding the still warm furry limp body next to yours? Could you stop smiling? Were you able to get some warm blood on you as well, oozing all over your cute little safari outfit. Maybe if you get to where the critter lies mortally wounded just a little bit quicker, the blood of the beast will still be able to spurt all over you before its pounding heart gives out. Oh Randy, sounds simply orgasmic!

Your inability to directly confront an issue in an adult manner is really pathetic and sad.

You're one strange dude, Randy. In a thread about trophy hunting, you bring up abortion.

I have never had an abortion, I've never caused a woman to require an abortion, I've never performed an abortion.

But you have admitted to being a "sport" hunter... and you can't handle the fact that some people find that disgusting.

This is why I buy my meat at the grocery store - so no animals have to die.

Granted it's not as twisted as bringing up abortion in this thread, but how is that comment connected to trophy or "sport" hunting?

It's directly connected to the person who is the topic of this thread since the animal was used to feed villagers.
You're the one who's going off tangent on your trophy hunting crusade like God Warrior.

That's swell. One old giraffe she killed is used to feed villagers (so we're told). What about all the rest of the animals this woman has slaughtered for the fun of it?

Wow, if you think I'm "off tangent", I can't wait to hear how you describe Randy's journey into Planned Parenthood.

You know whether or not the meat from those other hunts was used for food? Seriously dude, go smoke a bowl and chill the hell out.

Thanks for catching the typo. Damn, if you're so wound up you need to do that, smoke two bowls.

"Wound up"? Hardly. And I don't indulge in herb, but I'll try some of that mead.
