I have to wonder, of those who support such invasions of privacy, how many are willing to share all their personal information, photos, and comunications to complete strangers?
You can PM us all those account #s, nekkid pics of your wives and GFs, your SS#s and passwords, your on-line banking usernames, and all your emails.
I promise, we won't ogle the pics, do anything untowards in regards to your bank accounts or passwords. Ever. None of us.

I'm betting no one's inbox will suddenly get filled up in the next few days with information or data that is simply none of our damn business..

Quoted for being the absolute damn truth.

The "I/you/we have nothing to hide" argument is the call of the herded sheep who are dumb enough to trust the government or any of its agencies.

Compuer forensics 101: The first thing you do is to make a bit-for-bit image copy of the non-volatile storage (disk, flash, etc.) on the target device, using a special read-only hardware interface. This preserves the original contents of the target device and leaves no artifacts of the imaging. All subsequent forensic examination is conducted on the copied image.

And if its a phone or other wireless capable device, you do that in a Faraday cage..... ( we have one, its a cool thing.. and i know its psychological as you really cant sense the lack of radio waves, but you can 'feel' a difference standing in it.. )

Yes, I completely agree.

And I'm totally against no-knock warrants, as well, except in -EXTREMELY- limited circumstances, like kidnapping. (And IMHO, 'war on drugs' isn't good enough).
