You can't ask for proof for a theory. You can ask for proof for a fact. Yes there is supporting evidence, no you won't accept it. That would contradict with your theories.
For example, most of the votes for Obama came from metro areas, most urban areas are more supportive of things like gun control. Most metros vote democrat. That isn't hard to google That is called supporting evidence.

In my opinion, liberalism is caused by herd mentality, and not considering other perspectives. That is just my opinion though, and has no bearing on anything.
Though my father is liberal, and he has never accepted any perspective that opposes liberalism. Still blaming Bush for everything that happens today, down to the price of gas.
Obama can do no wrong, and its all a result of what Bush put in motion.
Maybe that is supporting evidence?
