My Cadillac collection...my goal is to have at least one example from 1909 to the present. I think I've got about 120 models so far (diecasts/plastics/handbuilts/promos) but I'm always looking for more.

Sorry about the crappy pic quality...taken with my cellphone.

I have, well lets say a few 1:18 Scale cars. They are all packed up right now, and will come out when I get the shop done.

I like to keep the same size, unless it's Fiero, or Taxi related.

Brad

#%@#! Still boxed up!!

I refuse to take them out unless I have a place to put them though.

It's been a while since this thread, so I thought I'd bring it back. I picked up a few more cars for my collection. The '99 TA is still "under contruction" as I'm using parts from other cars to customize it. The other two are "Highway 61".

This is a highly detailed car by GMP. '70 GTX

This is another "Highway 61"..... '70 AAR Cuda.

(left to right) Dart Swinger, Baldwin Motion Chevelle, Baldwing Motion Camaro

I ran across a guy at the local flea market a couple of weekends ago. He was selling his entire collection. I missed out on a few cars I really wanted . Anyone else added to their collection lately?

I'm into model Railroading O gauge 1:48 th scale. No cars made in 1:48 but some in 1:43 a little too large but they look fine on train layouts and everyone uses them especally since there is nothing else. I have a few and buying more, sorry I don't know how to post pictures.

Got two more for Christmas. '67 Fairlane "Street Fighter" from GMP and the '70 Trans Am from American Muscle.

The detail on the Fairlane is outstanding just as it is on the GTX.

I hope to start a diorama for them soon.

Working on three projects ( actually six ) 3 trucks and 3 cars.

Project:

Dodge: '76 Ram stepside with a matching '69 Road Runner

Chevy: '72 C-10 and matching '70 Camaro

Ford: '56 ( still looking for one ) F-100 and matching '67 Mustang GT500

I don't have a completion time on them yet.

That is all.

Heres a pic of the Pocher 1/8 scale Porsche 911. Its almost 2' long. Not a creative pic, it was just for a guy who wanted to see it. Real leather on seats, carpet, rubber fan belts, cloth seat belts, etc. Sold it Friday for $500.

I just started one today. A Daytona superbird getting the viper treatment. Exact color blue, motor, and hopefully the interior. The last one I finished was an exact replica of "blakeinspace's" car. The yellow 88 with the tall wing. And an indy fiero.

Heck yeah! I'm thinking about doing each set with later model drivetrain in them. Sourcing parts is kinda being problematic though.

Thought about having mine powder coated. If it's too $$$ I'll have to brush up on my rattle can skills.

Once I get started I'll have to use the other computer to post pics of progress. This laptop won't let me do much due to the security

Fairfield Mint just released a Cadillac Cyclone, a 50s Earl concept for a 2 seat Caddy. http://www.conceptcarz.com/...e-XP-74-Concept.aspx
What years you still need. I know of 53, 55 and 56, 60 Caddy sedans and convs out there. I have a few Caddy stretch limos ; a custom Hot Wheels 90 DeVille, Majorette 1/50 90?, and a George Bush Presidential limo (mint in box) in 1/43 if your interested.

On real DeLorean, did you know they built 3 gold anodized stainless ones for American Express. Fairfield also has a DeLorean slot car racing set.

NEVERDONE,

You going to post any progress pics. I downloaded some to PB, so I'll see if it works. Just getting started, so there's really no progress other than disassembly of the Camaro and the donor Z06. Still working on finding my tow donor Vipers for the Mopar's.

Dodge Lil Red Express:

'69 Road Runner:

'53 Ford F-100:

67 Mustang GT 500:

72 C-10:

70 Camaro:

I don't collect the bigger scale cars, but I do love Hotwheels. I am usually always in the "opening" school of thought, but I came across these cars and they will probably stay in the package. I got the entire "Camo" series the other day, and was lucky to find all 6. They are a Wal-Mart exclusive line, and they had just put them out when I got there. I won't be opening any of these, as the packaging is very different to normal Hotwheels and is part of what makes these cars appealing. Also pictured is the Ollie Rocket, which has a very cool back story. You can see the Make-A-Wish logo on the card, and on the back of the card there is a drawing clearly done by a child. They took the kids's drawing and made a production car from it which is really cool. I think most of the proceeds from the car goes to Make-a-Wish.

This images is larger than 153600 bytes. Click to view.

I also collect the Star Wars Hotwheels, Lead Sled type 40's and 50's cars, as well as a handful of trucks. They are all loose, and can take some pics of them if anyone is interested.

Yep, everything opens except the roof. They were commissioned by Tesla based on the 3D models used to build the production cars, not sure who did them, but it's REALLY detailed. Tesla P/N 1061329-01-A

Joined diecastsociety & diecastpub. DS has a lot of high end collector cars that are very detailed. DP has from what I've seen so far mostly American muscle. Both are very cool and are worth checking out. Heck, some of you are probably members at one or the other. If you are, let me know.

69 RR project (after Ram is finished) Test fitting Viper GTS wheels

Suspension on the Ram is set. Front ended up slightly lower than I wanted, but still looks good. I will start on engine, exhaust, and tweaking of the frame for body mods.

I have a couple more that I haven't taken pics of yet. Still more to come.
Anyone else added to their collection lately?

Paul

Edit to add: Ram project will slow down possibly due to major OT at work. I'll do what I can, but don't want to rush it.

Whats the plans for the GSX? I ask because I have a real Skylark like it, and quite a few 1:18 GSX and GS.

The yellow one will just get a couple things like a lower stance, painted or cut out grill and replace with a realistic mesh, wheel swap, minor paint on undercarriage, engine bay, and interior. I actually have two, the other is black with gold striping. That one is getting the custom/pro-touring touch simply because it's a little rough. The pic doesn't show how dull and scratched it is. Thinking of two tone, but with the original colors.

I have so many ideas and plans that it's hard to not start another car right away. I really shouldn't start anything else until I get the Ram and Challenger finished. I started the Camaro for a quick project and it's turned into another detailed one. Once you tear one down the ideas start flowing and you just can't help yourself.
