UPDATE 3/19 Sale Complete.
UPDATE 3/16/18 SALE PENDING! Thanks to all that took a look.
UPDATE: 3/5/18: PRICE DROPPED TO $6500 or near offer

Well, Wife says if I want a new project, one of the older ones has to go. I've spent the last 2 years lovingly upgrading this '87, and had a blast doing it. Nearly every mechanical part was upgraded in this build- Cooling, Steering, Suspension, Brakes, Electrical, Engine, Exhaust, etc...

CL AD is here, but I will also include some more details: https://lasvegas.craigslist...3800/6491949674.html

Would love to see it go to a PFF member, as I know it will see the love it deserves.

1987 Pontiac Fiero GT Resto Mod! Silver Metallic exterior with Grey Interior. Rust Free Nevada vehicle!
Less than 2000 miles since full mechanical restoration / upgrade. This Fiero is highly upgraded, with many items GM should have included. Nearly every mechanical part of this car has been replaced / upgraded. It's like buying a new car! Lots of fun to drive, FAST, comfortable, and gets great mileage too ( 20 in town, 29 on Hwy)! I cannot drive it anywhere without being stopped and asked "what car is that?" Where else can you find a neat, reliable , attention grabbing sports car in very good condition for a small amount of money. Please Read on , as the details should impress. Here's some of the things that were done to this vehicle:

*3800 Supercharged Engine upgrade- 250+ Hp ( stock was 2800 engine with 135 hp)
*Custom exhaust with Magnaflow converter, Thrush muffler, Heddman resonators
* Has Classic Rod plates that can also transfer with car should you prefer no Smog in the future (NV).
*4 spd Heavy Duty Automatic transmission with OD, new axles with new CV boots
* Huge Cadillac Transmission Cooler with temp sender to gauge
*Power Steering ( Electric). ( This is EXTREMELY rare) Fieros never came with Power
Steering, and can be a bear to park and drive! Steering column was also rebuilt
*Super Cold AC
*Heavy Duty Cooling with new 2 row Aluminum radiator, new 2 speed Volvo Cooling Fan
*Larger brakes- front and rear, with larger Master Cylinder and Larger Power Booster
*Larger Front Sway Bar, Rear Sway Bar
*Poly-graphite suspension bushings, new Ball Joints, new Tie Rod Ends, new Steering Stabilizer
*Upgraded Shocks / Struts
*New Tires
*GM Electronic Cruise Control
*LED Brake, Stop, Turn and Backup Lights
*Express Up / Down window controller- One touch operation
*Tinted Windows
*Rear Window Defroster
*Power mirrors with new switch
*Rear View mirror with Temp Indicator
*Cup Holder console
*Back-up Camera with 7" monitor
*Auxiliary power outlets (3)
*CD receiver with USB input, Pandora ready, with new speakers.
*New Headliner; Visors recovered, and Homelink Garage Door module added
*Custom switches installed in console
*Body mods include side rear quarter panel air vents and side rear window scoops.
*The stock GT wing was removed for visibility, but is included, and is painted in the same color.

So what's left to do? Nothing! Drive and enjoy! The paint was applied by a Previous Owner. It's a nice metallic silver, but not a great paint job. It's OK at 5', but I would not say a show quality job ( Those can run a lot of money!). The new owner may want a different color, so I didn't re-paint. That would have added more cost, that the new owner can decide upon. Same thing for the wheels. They are the stock Fiero GT 15" wheels. Some folks like the newer, larger style, but again choice is important here. I know I have my own preferences, so I'm sure a new owner may want the choice as well.

You could easily build one of these to this condition for $10-$12K, in about a year, if you had the time, tools and inclination. If you have to pay someone to have it done, add another $5-7K. The 3800 Engine Swap alone is typically $5K-$7K. I do this as a hobby, so I don't make money on it- it just keeps me out of the casinos!

For PFF members, I will also include all of my spare / extra parts, Factory Manuals, documentation, etc. I have a full 3-ring binder of all the "special" mods and the wiring of the 3800.

Wife says I can't start another project without making room, so the new baby has to go ( unless you want to make an offer on the wife instead!). I'm asking only $7500 $6500 or near offer for PFF members- no lowballs- I'm not in any hurry to sell. Just want to see it get a new home, and create a new Fiero addict!!

I have to say thats a nice fiero for that price. I payed 3900 for mine with a 3800sc 4speed 4.10. Not even close to being done cosmetic. If I were closer i'd buy it and sell mine but im all the way in NC. Good luck selling.

You need a new wife, the older one has to go,

What is the new project that you want that could replace "driving excitement" ?

Please don't say a boat.

OK, I've added pictures to the first post. I have more pictures on Flickr ( see link in my signature).

Would love to trade the wife- depends on what car you want to trade!!

Maybe this would be a great time to come to Vegas for a quick holiday, and drive home in a Fiero! Who knows, you might get lucky at the tables and pay for the trip and the car!

Always wanted one of these. I’d take it off your hands if I had the money. I have kids instead. Since I can’t have it though, I’d say keep it hahaha. But seriously that’s a nice ride.

Actually, I forget what I have read.

Tell us more about the Vue Power Steering.

Well, I followed a couple of threads here on the sight, along with one on the Vintage Mustang site. I had toyed with the idea of doing a Hydraulic PS, using an F-body steering setup and the PS pump on the 3800. When I got into the details, I found I could do the VUE Electric Power Steering without changing out the steering gear, and without running all the hydraulic lines. Turned out to be less expensive, didn't change the steering geometry, and no re-alignment required. About the only change on mine is I have a three-position toggle switch mounted in the console, to easily adjust the amount of Power steering effort (Low-Med-High). The other two toggle switches ( all hidden in the driver's side ash tray) switch the temp gauge from engine to transmission, and switch on the Performance Level shift in the trans.

The Power Steering is great around town and in spirited driving ( recovering from a power slide ). On the Hwy, you don't even know it's there.

Anyone wanting to do a 3800 swap on a pre 88 would be better of just starting with his car. If I ever want a 3800 again I would just buy it pre-done. Way cheaper

I REALLY like the looks and the attention to detail of your car. My only question is, "How loud is the exhaust inside the car?"

I had an '84 Fiero with 3800SC engine and on a long trip to Oregon from Colorado, my hearing took a nosedive because of the straight through muffler. I now wear hearing aids and my advanced age also had a hand in diminishing my hearing. I'm in the midst of selling my house and moving to Colorado to live with my daughter but old guys like me do silly things with their dough.

Inside the car, the exhaust is very tame. No drone, and really you may only notice the exhaust when you really get on it. You're more likely to hear the Supercharger than the exhaust. I've taken the car on long trips ( 5 hrs +) with no issues at all. In reality, I wish is was a little louder ( and I'm 67!). In comparison, the stock exhaust on the 2.8 was about the same in loudness, when measured with a DB meter.
