Hi.

Yeah, stupid question but I can't remember how they went and can't find photos that would settle the case. There are two metal "fittings" with plastic washers on them that screw directly into the TBI - they look almost identical from the outside but one has holes on every edge of the nut and one is clean. On the inside however they have different diameters - the clean one is larger. Can anybody tell me which should go which way? They have the same threads and lenghts so they both fit but I guess because of the different diameters there should be only one way to fit them.

I've been searching for an hour for some photos and can't settle it. If anybody can look how it should be it would be great. Thanks.

I'm reviving this thread, because I have the exact same problem. Note, I went to the link posted above, and I don't know what TBI unit that is, but it looks nothing like mine.

So, just as the original post is asking, do we know which of the two fittings go where? My daughter and I disconnected them. We assumed they were exactly the same... but one has a bigger opening (inside), and the other has a smaller opening (inside). I assume the pressure line (from the fuel pump) would be larger and need more fuel, where as the smaller one is for the return line? Or maybe it's totally opposite?

Anyone have a picture of a good TBI unit? Two of the other TBI units we have actually are from a 1982 Pontiac TransAm w/ Cross-Fire Injection (dual Fiero TBI units with different fittings), one is missing them, and the other two, well... we removed them without looking.

Thanks!!!

Ok, I remembered that I have a Holley TBI unit for the Fiero, so I opened up that box and took a look, and it uses the same style connectors, and I verified that I had them installed in the right place. So, I took pictures (of our restored Rochester TBI unit) and here's how it should be (note the notches on one of them):
