Hi so I just bought an 86 gt and both the headlights go up just fine but when I turn them off the passenger side keeps clicking in the down position and I have to disconnect a wire to keep it from clicking any ideas?

Its broken,

they are problematic and that is one of the most common of them, forget the reason but the cure is to repair them with the new gears and bumpers if I remember right, do a search of headlight repairs there must be a crap load of threads on it.
