OK, I've found lots of archived threads about the PCV elbow for the 1984 Duke saying the part is no longer available. So what are people doing when they need to replace the elbow? There has to be an alternative solution, right?

If you don't know the part I'm talking about, here's a good thread with pics:
https://www.fiero.nl/forum/A...120111-2-111500.html

I'm looking for part #85 in this diagram. I can get the PCV valve and grommet locally. (Is #9 the grommet? Because it looks a lot different/bigger in this pic than I would expect.)

The thread above states that the 84-86 Duke used the same configuration. If that's the case, will this elbow (for an '85) work?

If I go with this part, do I then need a different grommet and PCV valve?

Thanks,
Marc

And what is this PCV hose tee that shows up any time I search for a PCV elbow?

Best solution: https://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum2/HTML/123304.html

I don't know exactly what that elbow looks like (never had one) but Dorman has an assortment of PCV elbows.

A couple of others may be useable - you'd have to see them in person to determine if they'd work.

The Camaro one looks like an all-in-one elbow/grommet

My 86 Duke has this hose about 1/2" on one end and 3/4" on the other with a molded bend. Its getting dry cracked on the end. I may have to try RWDPLZ fix too.

Thanks for the reply. I think I picked up the HELP version of that Firebird elbow because it looked similar, but I believe the PCV valve is supposed to sit entirely inside the elbow, and I'm not sure it is deep enough to do that.

The '84 to '88 conversion is an interesting option. I just don't understand why they list parts for an '85 but not '84 if the configuration is the same. I'd rather keep the PCV horizontal so there isn't big confusion for "the next guy". I wonder what they would do if I took it into a shop and said "change the PCV valve and the leaking elbow"?

I know the best solution is to take apart the existing elbow so I can really see the configuration, but I keep planning on driving the Fiero and don't want to have to put it back together with the leaking parts once it's apart. I'm afraid it will just fall apart if I take it off! But considering the Memorial Day weekend came and went and the car never left the garage, maybe I should just go ahead and take it apart.
