The video, which can be viewed here (note graphic violence and language) depicts a maroon Honda in the middle of a road being surrounded by ICE agents, with one trying to open the driver’s door. As the car appears to drive away, a different officer standing in front of the vehicle opens fire. The car appears to make contact with the ICE agent, but he was not fully knocked down. After the woman was shot, her car then rams into vehicles in front of it before coming to a stop.

She stepped on her gas pedal and struck him with her SUV. That is attempted murder. She was still in control of a deadly weapon, her SUV. She was still a threat to every officer there. This is easily justifiable homicide.
If you were in the same situation where a driver purposefully struck you with their vehicle, you would be justified in defending yourself and kill them.

Another angle which clearly shows other vehicles driving past the front of the victim's car (this woman was not blocking the road), and which also show she was trying to get away from the ICE agents to her left. The agent that fired his gun had come around from the back of her vehicle to her right, and she was probably not even aware of him when she was trying to escape the agents to her left. The agent who fired his gun repeatedly, even after the car had gone past him, was obviously not "run over", and appeared in fine form after he executed this woman.

I think context is important here. I also think we can all agree that it's unfortunate that someone lost their life.
But there are several important facts that are known which should be considered:
- Mrs. Good was there with her wife. Her wife was the one in a flannel shirt, and they had been there specifically for the purpose of protesting ICE. - Mrs. Good was intentionally attempting to block traffic, while the wife was standing outside also attempting to stop people from passing. - In the longer unedited video, you see two cars, including a grey ICE Ford Explorer race around her before she moves forward to block the Suburban - At the time the officers approached her car, she was in the process of being lawfully detained, for the purpose of being charged with obstruction.
On whether she was intent on running the ICE officer over, or she was trying to flee the scene (this is safely assumed at a minimum), is not for me to decide. In my opinion, it does look like she was attempting to, at the very least, push him out of the way with her car. Whether her intent was to run him over or kill him (probably not), would only have been relevant had she made it to court. Unfortunately, her actions were perceived as threatening... and this brings me to the psychological part.
Years ago, I had to take a Crowd Psychology course as part of a larger series of courses before I was allowed to travel overseas as an unattributed agency employee (so we didn't do something stupid as a group). There's a unique mentality that occurs when people are in larger groups. The problem is that psychologically, people are more likely to push the envelope when they are in a group mentality. Specifically, individuals will do things that they wouldn’t normally do if they were merely by themselves on the street corner. They get a false sense of power that mentally allows them to justify actions they might not normally do. One of the consequences of this mentality is that they’ll act on something, somehow believing that there are no consequences for these actions because they have the power of the “group” behind them.
The question you would ask... if she had been pulled over by the police for speeding, would she flee? Highly doubtful. But she did attempt to flee (at a minimum) because she was being "enabled" by the crowd of protestors that she was essentially part of. I'm not a police officer, but I also have to think that police in large groups might also struggle with this... but I'd imagine they're given at least similar or better training than I have in that area.
Anyway, I kind of nod to Fetterman. "Tone down the rhetoric." I've come to respect the guy a lot. I don't always agree with him, but he seems to be the calmest person in the room most times. I used to think he was a complete moron, but I happened to catch him on an old episode of "Where We Live" (or whatever the show was called). He and his wife literally moved into a decaying section of their city (before he became mayor) and bought up an old historic building that used to be a car dealership. Both he and his wife restored it, made it their home, and he later ran for mayor ... the rest is history. When you have people on the ideological right saying he's a dumbass and people on the ideological left saying he's a dumbass, it's possible he might just be the sanest person in the room... or he's a dumbass. But I tend to think otherwise. Either way... it's unfortunate this lady died... but it's important to remember that she pushed the envelop, and quite literally triggered an officer that had already gone through being run over once.
