We are all judgmental people ... it's an inherent human trait that we all have that specifically addresses risk in real time and day-to-day for every day lives. But it's something we all have, even when people say they're not judgmental, they're just good at hiding their opinions.
The person looks like a freak. But the content of his character is what should define us. I couldn't get past a couple of seconds when I realized it was a song... but if he's a good person, then it doesn't matter what he looks like.
There's a guy named Jelly-Roll... looks like this dude but fat. The guy was a criminal in his past, but made a change, writes music, and has dedicated much of his life to philanthropy. We can all change. Same goes for a Congressman that I respect very much... the guy's name is Darrell Issa. You'll know him as a Republican congressman in the state of California. He's a rare breed of representatives (nothing to do with him being Republican). He's one of the wealthiest politicians in congress. But it's his story that's impressive.
He dropped out of high school and then joined the Army when he was basically just a punk kid. He came from a relatively low income family He was discharged after a heart attack which resulted from getting involved in drugs. He then went on to commit vehicle theft, stealing everything from Maseratis to Mustangs. He was arrested on multiple felonies and spent time in jail.
He had a "come to Jesus" moment when he was in prison... and decided he wanted to turn his life around. He ended up creating the "Viper Car Alarm" company... which you'll definitely remember from the 90s... "Protected by Viper, Stand Back!" He made HUNDREDS of MILLIONS of dollars... and donates millions to charity and philanthropic causes. He then ran for Congress because he wanted to make a difference in his own community.
Another incident... which I cannot remember the name. A hardened criminal convicted of battery and multiple felonies... as the perpetrator was going to jail, a priest who spends his time working with prisoners said, "I will see you soon."
The father (Catholic priest) spent every weekend working with this criminal. When the criminal's 10 years were up... he was released on good behavior, and he went to seminary school. He graduated with a seminary degree, and joined the Catholic church. He now runs an old Catholic church in the middle of crack town in his home town, and has dedicated his entire life to working with kids and gang members to help them straighten out their lives.
People who look like that... we can judge them... but you don't know their true character until you talk to him.

I don't proudly make these statements... but in the United States, the left overwhelmingly suffers from more mental illness than those on the right. There's been an underlying question of... does progressive ideology attract those with mental illness, or... is mental illness a product of progressivism? You maybe don't care what I think... but I personally believe it's this way because the Democrat party has co-opted fear as a major "Get Out the Vote" mechanism. Furthermore, the Marxist ideology has gotten a hold of the party, and taught people to put everyone into social boxes. There's also this idea of intersectionality that convinces people that based on varying factors, they will be a "forever victim" of circumstances totally out of their control ... and then directs that anger towards another group they believe responsible (usually ends up being the Jews, Whites, etc.). So, you've got people who are now convinced from a young age that they're broken, can never be fixed, have no ability to change their lives, and a specific group of people are to blame for it. And... you have social media where politicians and PACs push this ideology. Social media is often abused by nation state actors who perpetuate the more ridiculous aspect of this stuff, further radicalizing these people.
All of that said, the right is run by what is effectively... Gen-X mentality. I know Trump is a boomer, and there's a lot of boomers. But the Gen-X mentality... it's one that doesn't lack compassion, but it doesn't portray empathy. If you were to take a hoarder perspective. A liberal might spend days talking to a hoarder, and carefully working with them to throw out all the trash from their home. They'd deal with all the tantrums, emotional outbursts, and maybe they succeed in the end, maybe they fail. A conservative on the other hand, would be more likely to tie the hoarder to a tree and throw out all her **** in front of her. I can't say which is better, but one solves the problem more quickly. Politically, the metaphorical pendulum used to swing slowly, but it's been swinging much more rapidly. I don't think we end up in civil war... I think that talk is silly. But I do think the Democrat party is destroying their brand.
