As we all have clearly seen from the leftist of our society who wanted to control everything. They told you it wasn't safe to walk outside on the beach or in parks.

They told you that lockdowns were temporary to 'flatten the curve'. They told you wearing masks, getting vaccinated and boosted, social distancing and forced closure of small businesses was to save your grandma.

The economic stress that it put in the world is uncalculatable. The leftist lockdowns did so much harm that there are science studies suggesting that over 150-million people went into the brink of starvation and died because of leftist lockdowns, which is far more than people who died with (not from) lab leaked covid.

This is the crime of the century, but nothing will happen to these leftist. In fact they are doubling down.

If recent history doesn't advance your agenda, just create "alternate" facts. Alternate Covid facts.

I can always count on certain people to not be specific or transparent in any way about where they would go and who they would point to, for confirmation of what they're saying, and it's inconceivable that these people are figuring out all this "stuff" just by looking out upon the world through their front window and making direct observations.

Covid Revisionism. It was as predictable as the fables that everyone knew would be coming from the anti-vaxxers.

There are many that believe the revisionists appeared on the broadcast news, and that those that used the television as their window to the world were badly duped.

The truth may never be known, but one thing is absolute - Humans can't save lives - everyone dies in the end......

Well, just as have stated before, don't trust those ("scientists", "experts"), who are PAID to represent what you are to believe.

Oh look... a peer-reviewed meme from the professional cartoonists at Dumb Net. Obviously that settles the matter. We don't need no stinkin' science—or scientists.

Think about what we as a nation could be doing to make our society more pandemic-resistant, considering that the next dangerous pathogen that emerges could be a natural evolution, even if it were known with near certainty that a virus lab was central to the emergence of Covid-19.

Thinking about it from that perspective, how relevant is the "lab leak VS natural origin" question? To what extent is it a distinction without a difference in terms of anticipatory or proactive preparedness for the next dangerous pathogen that could emerge?

Where's the cartoon for that?

People that where making money of research that was not allowed and an accident happened. Lets not look at this lets look at another fix for the problem. BRILLIANT!

There's no straight line that connects "lab leak" to "research that wasn't supposed to be allowed", or "research that wasn't supposed to be funded, even in part, by the NIH."

I can think of scenarios involving a virus lab leak or miscue without having research that went over any kind of line, in terms of "gain of function".

Am I an expert on the matter?

Hardly.

Is "jdv"..?

I'm not saying that anything should be cast aside, just because it would be awkward in terms of politics or U.S.-China relations.

I am saying that there are aspects of preparedness that are the same, regardless of how the next dangerous pathogen could emerge.

One only has to look at who tried to cover up the lab leak and there involvement in it. What are they trying to hide and why. I never claim to be an expert on anything. I just question things with my limited intellect.

"Republicans Push Lab Leak Theory on Covid’s Origins, but Lack ‘Smoking Gun’"

quote
The first hearing of a House panel charged with investigating the origins of the pandemic underscored just how difficult it might be to turn up conclusive evidence.

Sheryl Gay Stolberg and Benjamin Mueller for the New York Times; March 8, 2023 (6-minute read).
https://www.nytimes.com/202...k-house-hearing.html

Odds are that every thought that you've ever had about the origin(s) of Covid-19 is discussed in at least a small way within this article.

Here's an excerpt:

quote
Last week, the Senate passed a bill that would order the declassification of intelligence related to the Wuhan Institute of Virology, a laboratory that specializes in coronavirus research in Wuhan, China, where the pandemic began. The House is scheduled to take up the measure on Friday.

On the other side of the Capitol complex, the Director of National Intelligence, Avril Haines, told the Senate Intelligence Committee on Wednesday that there was a consensus that the virus that causes Covid-19 was not engineered as a biological weapon, but that intelligence agencies disagreed on whether it leaked from a lab or came from natural exposure to an infected animal.

China has destroyed evidence, complicating the search for the cause.

"The Lab Leak [theory] Will Haunt Us Forever"

quote
Each new revelation is a reminder of how little is actually known.

Daniel Engber for The Atlantic; February 27, 2023.
https://www.theatlantic.com...y-department/673230/

EXCERPT

quote
A formal inquiry into the pandemic’s origin, set up by the World Health Organization, had intended to revisit its claim from early 2021 that a laboratory source was “extremely unlikely,” by conducting further studies and institutional audits in China. That project has now been shelved in the face of Chinese opposition, and the Wuhan Institute of Virology has long since stopped responding to requests for information from its U.S.-based research partners and the NIH, according to an inspector general’s report from the Department of Health and Human Services.

In the meantime, the smattering of facts that have been introduced into the lab-leak debates over the past two years have been, at times, maddeningly opaque—like the unnamed “new intelligence” that swayed the Department of Energy. (For the record, The New York Times reports that each of the agencies investigating the pandemic’s origin had access to this same intelligence; only DOE changed its assessment to favor the lab-leak explanation as a result.) We’re told only that certain fresh and classified information has changed the minds of some (but just some) anonymous analysts who now believe (with limited assurance) that a laboratory origin is most likely. Well, great. I guess that settles it.

Since you've got such a micro/millivolt hard-on in your copper mesh neural net how about they do some, you know, REAL SCIENCE, and reproduce the wet market theory. Since it was soooo easy to come up with a "vaccine(s)" quickly, there is no, I repeat, NO EXCUSE, that it can't be done. Get some bats and have fun.

The only practical way to perform this kind of experimentation would involve virologists carrying out research activities in a virus lab. It might be considered "Gain of Function", and so, from a legal perspective, subject to U.S. federal and state level prohibitions against doing it or funding it.

From a pro-societal perspective, a better investment of time, money and effort would be the wide-scale improvement of public health infrastructure to respond more effectively to newly emerging (but currently unknown) pathogens. "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure."

No, gain of function would involve manipulation. You buddy paper certificate Drrrr Fauci and the US government love using proxy states to handle that for us.
No different than having a vacuum chamber filled with all the elements and see if over a few hundred million years life would suddenly "evolve" on its own, somehow.

Japan 1932-1945

Gen. Shirō Ishii and 'crew' who ran Unit 731, deceptively designated the “Epidemic Prevention and Water Purification Department” of the Kwantung Army deployed to China. Bioweapons research was considered too risky to study in Japan proper. Therefore, the Japanese puppet state of Manchukuo (formerly Manchuria), under complete Japanese control since 1932, was chosen as an ideal location for the studies.

Following the Japanese surrender, Ishii cut a deal with the U.S. military (gen MacArthur): he would hand over all the research data from his atrocious experiments on live human subjects. The chief of the U.S. bioweapons program deemed the research “absolutely invaluable” because its findings could not have been obtained in the United States “due to scruples attached to experiments on humans.”

Absolute horrific sh!t those Tojo's did to Chinese civilians, Allied POWs. MOSTLY ALL OF THEM WERE GRANTED AMNESTY AND SOME ENDED UP WORKING FOR THE USA after the war. And during WWII, Japan were the worst offender's in BW experimenting. Germany came second due to their 'late' start in that arena.

Dr. Fauci, who retired from the National Institutes of Health at the end of last year, was interviewed in the "wee hours" today on MSNBC.

Air date: March 16, 2023. Segment length: 9 minutes.

quote
Former NIAID Director, Dr. Anthony Fauci, joins Morning Joe to discuss where the country is on Covid infections and deaths, continued disinformation on the coronavirus, what researchers have learned about Covid and about vaccines since 2020 and if we'll be getting boosters for the foreseeable future.

Dr Fauci reminds viewers of the beginning of the pandemic, when much that is understood today about the SARS-CoV-2 (or SARS-2-CoV) was not yet known to doctors and scientists. It's something to think about, in relation to some of the revisionist histories of the Covid pandemic that have been circulating on various social media networks.

One thing that still seems unknown: Whether the proper designation for the Covid-19 pathogen is SARS-CoV-2 or SARS-2-CoV. I see both versions of that being used interchangeably, even within the same research report.

New reporting of evidence that the Covid pandemic started at the so called "wet" market in Wuhan.

It lines up against the certainty, if not the possibility, that one of China's virology research labs was part of the chain of transmission in the sequence of events that led to the infection becoming a pandemic.
