Hello Guys,
I strongly feel I need to share my last feedback with you guys about my awful experience with The Fiero Store.

Their customer service has gotten worse over the years. Yet, I remained flexible & overlooked many flaws over the years as well.

However, I’ve always shared my feedback with TFS privately to show where they need to improve their service.

Clearly, this time, they went too far & have no empathy for what they did. They told me not to shop with them again. What kind of business would do that? Mind Boggling!

To my shock, my order with 10% sale recently was cancelled. Unbelievable! They are punishing me for speaking up. We the customers should always speak up if something is wrong.

They’ve always used this lame excuse that we are in a “niche market”. That’s a poor excuse and full of crap. They earned over TWO MILLION DOLLARS in annual earning and can afford to improve their customer service. But they don’t want to.

They expect us Fiero enthusiasts to lower our standards. They are like sleazy salesmen looking to get away for cheap. With that kind of income they earned, they could afford to take on projects like taillight lens for both fastback & notchback and more if they want to but would never do that.

I complained about how my package was packed. It was a TERRIBLE job! This person, whoever he is, just threw everything in the box… with heavy items against fragile items, to bang against one another for the entire trip. The heavy items, the knuckle & spindle weren’t wrapped at all. It could have caused some damages to other items. Not only that, this immature person shoved two sets of brake pins into knuckle holes, thinking it was funny. I was so disgusted when I received the box all banged up because those items were not secured in place. There was a hole on top of the box. Lucky, I didn’t lose any of the items. But those items in bags were all scuffed up.

I told Dean (the manager) about this and he admitted that the person who did it wrong with packaging and promised to correct it. But brushed it off as if it’s no big deal. It’s a BIG deal to me because it left a terrible impression on me that they don’t care about us Fiero enthusiasts as their customers.

I’ve spent over $3,700 with TFS and I strongly believe that entitles me the right to complain if something is not up to what I call the golden standard or “Rodney” standard.

They could learn few things from Rodney Dickman’s business and how he values us Fiero enthusiasts and always packed things neat & secured & provide explanation or assistance with our purchases. That’s why I’ve spent twice as more with Rodney than I did with The Fiero Store.

I trust Rodney many times over than I would with The Fiero Store. The Fiero Store have no quality control or care to provide the best customer experience. Again, they are a bunch of sleazy salespeople looking to get away for cheap.

I apologized if I hurt their feelings, but they need to know the truth about my experience from my last order last summer.

I will include few pics of ’88 Knuckle & Spindle which was supposed to be sandblasted according to their website and got ones that were so rust. Mind Boggling!

Their answer is “Well, we are in a niche market.” Nope! That doesn’t excuse anyone for giving a lousy service.

Heck, X1/9 Store does a lot better job for their customers than the Fiero Store did for us. Disgusting!

They have no concern for their sloppiness. I will be filing a complaint with my state attorney office & Connecticut’s attorney office about this level of treatment I received along with GM.

Also, I called & spoke with their president who did not care about my complaint either. To my surprise, he claimed my call was a harassment. Unbelievable! I called him on Friday, but couldn’t get a hold of him. So, I called him again the following week. I do not consider it as harassment. Clearly, he doesn’t know how to run a business.

Notice how my Knuckle doesn't look anything from the pic on their website:

Notice how my Spindle doesn't look anything from the pic on their website:

Notice how this immature person shoved brake pins into one of knuckle holes, thinking it was funny:

See how much they earned in a year? They can afford to do so much more for the Fiero community, but chose not to. Such a shame that we have to put up with those sleazy people.

There are better financial people on here that may chime in but the revenue is how much they sold but doesn't take into account how much it costs them to acquire those sales or warehouse space, employee salaries, overhead, etc.

In that case 2.25M is basically a mom-and-pop local hardware store.

OK, so your packaging could have been better and their warehouse isn't climate controlled so that knuckle rusted. Where else are you going to find a NOS 88 fiero knuckle?

I'm just trying to let you know that your lawsuit could possibly be the end to this resource for the whole Fiero community. Think long and hard on if you really want to send this business to the graveyard because of the issues you addressed.

Never had an issue with them, order multiple times a year. Did think they were light on packaging material on some interior parts, thankfully none were damaged. Do agree Rodney has a great business and packages things very well, my life would be much harder if either company closed.

As for their revenue, you don't understand what revenue is apparently.. you can have revenue in the billions and still have a net loss and not make a dime of positive cash. So pointing out their revenue and what they 'should' be doing for the Fiero community doesn't make a lot of sense. They already supplied lenses for years, I'm sure they know exactly what kind of investment vs profit is involved and decided against it.

I do agree the rusty knuckle is not what someone expects on delivery, it wasn't properly coated after blasting and likely sat on a shelf.. rust converter would go a long way for it I'm sure.

So this happened last summer and you're just now posting this here?

Such a timely warning!

We order a lot more from TFS than you have, and for the most part have no issues. If we do, the staff is helpful and apologetic. We have helped TFS a few times with incorrectly designed parts (88 clutch line) and they have been appreciative of our input.

Perhaps there are other issues here that we haven't been made privy too in your posting.

You have heard that it's hard to find good help, right?

Since you mentioned you reached out the the manager and was told he would correct it, did he? I just want clarification, on if he "brushed you off" but not correcting it or just not replying nicely on the phone.

I would like to hear both sides here.

I work in the automotive mail order and often there are two stories.

Not any one company gets it right. They all make mistakes. Most make some kind of offer and few will cancel orders and turn customers away unless someone has gone too far.

I see you got a poorly boxed item. Not good. The rust not hood but did they explain or make any offer to take care of this or say why? Most parts like this are uncoated and will take a surface rust that is easy to clean and paint over.

The pins were not hurt and look like they put them there not to lose them. Not then again best idea but not the end of the world.

Today it is difficult to get help let alone good help.

With most of us we all have been served well by TFS. I just feel we have not heard all that went on.

There had to be something you said or threatened to be refused service. We do it and often it is after a unhinged customer has made physical threats or has done something illegal. Not saying you did but there is something left out here.

To be clear, I have NOT made any physical threats or anything illegal at all other than reporting it to the Fiero community which they didn't like that at all.

They offered nothing to remedy this problem at all.

Did you know that I have NO complaints against Rodney at all??? Because he knows how to take care of his customers.

The Fiero Store don't care about their customers. That's the whole point I'm making here. They shouldn't be in business at all.

Yes, last summer when it occurred. I was gonna report it much earlier, but got busy & didn't get a chance to take pics until they pushed me too far this time with my recently order with 10% sale being cancelled.

Well I had an issue last year where they sent me the wrong part twice. They got the replacements out and never gave me grief. So my experience is the opposite.

The way insert it is if they served you bad then send the parts back and go else where.

As for service it is up to each and everyone of us to decide if we were treated fair. I have always been treated fair by all the of the Fiero vendors so I will continue to use them .

Even then I would not waste my time posting things all over.

I still feel there is something else to this as shops don’t cut you off for complains about rust. They will do a return, exchange or refund. What is there to argue about. I am sure you were offered these options. Did you ask for something else.

Many places would knock off a little just to avoid the return.

The issues you presented were not major issues. No thing was broken or lost and some paint or Por15 would make the rust go away.

Now if they refused to replace lost parts or a broken spindle that is a different story.

I have seen that much rust on a new car spindle.

Not trying to rough you up but while this was not a perfect experience this was far from major issues I have personally dealt with.

That's the whole point. It's easy for them to fix it & make it right for me. But they don't want to do that. They said those rusty parts were the best in stock. Mind Boggling! It shows how little they care for the parts in their stock.

Being in a small market as Fiero community is in, I strongly feel that it's important to show what kind of people the Fiero store is.

Holy **** , I'm responding to this as I go and you are a self aware entitled. Amazing. I love how everyone always compares TFS to Rodney. You act as if Rodney has never had a complaint or an issue.

So, I can't get super technical as I don't know the ins and outs of each business but from my understanding;

The Fiero Store is working with a bunch of vendors most of them overseas to continue to produce products with a official GM license. Things tend to fall through the cracks a bit but they are not first hand developing and designing products. The also are paying outrageous licensing fees and this helps keep cost down.

Rodney is for the most part I believe a one man show, designing and developing products and I believe manufacturing some personally while outsourcing some locally. Obviously your quality is much higher in this regard.

Your photo appears to be rusting from being stored. It was clearly blasted at one point but without a coating on it, it began to rust. It all appears fine unless you are trying to complain.

Seems like they really hit the nail on the head for you. Doing this that and everything else is certainly harassment, and you already proved he can run a business if he did 2 million in profit as you claim.

I order from The Fiero Store all the time, and have had nothing but positive experience with them. Once I ordered a set of poly bushings and the USPS lost them. I was getting down to the wire for getting my car ready for Carlisle. I reached out to them, and they overnighted me a new set thru UPS, free of charge, and even included something else in the package that I had ordered, so I wouldn't have to pay shipping for the other item.

I ordered an ICM to distributor connector once, and when I went to install it, the clip snapped. I sent them an email with a pic of the broken part, and they sent me a new one, and told me I didn't have to return the broken one.

I just received an order I had placed for some new steel brake lines and an outer tie rod end. Everything was packaged nicely, and the tie rod end was thoroughly wrapped to prevent it from banging against the other items.

Another order I placed included some items which were on back order. They sent me an email explaining this, and that the entire order would be sent out to me as soon as the back ordered items came in. I got an email today telling me that the order would be arriving tomorrow via UPS.

If all you're crying about is some flash rust (which EVERY metal part gets after sand blasting) and some brake pins stuck in the knuckle, then I don't know what to tell you, other than The Fiero Store is better off without you business. There are plenty of us who respect and appreciate what they do for the Fiero community, who will keep their business.

And before you start yammering at me about the way they treated you, I've seen how you speak to and about people in the Fiero community, and I have no doubt that the way you spoke to them was no exception. Go whine somewhere else.

If you go as far as to try to get the law involved in this, as well as GM.. Let me just say, that makes you the worlds biggest dick.

Going after a company that has done nothing but provide the Fiero community with the resources we need to keep our **** on the road, makes you a dick.

And not a single one of us here is going to agree with you on this topic. You came to the wrong place to try and start a mob.

There are times where you need to just suck it up, accept the outcome, fix it yourself, get your refund, and move on.

We've all been there. We've all bought something that wasn't as described, all over the internet. **** happens. You're allowed to be upset.

But blowing it out of proportion, simply because you're more butthurt than a convict who dropped the soap, is making a fool of yourself.

Surface rust is easier to deal with than the 1/8" thick layer of flaky rustiness that junkyard knuckles typically have. A much faster blasting job if OP wanted the parts blasted to white metal.

Besides that, cosmoline (or other oil-based preservative such as Castrol) might be a solution, but any traces of cosmoline left behind may cause issues with painting.

At my work, we changed a mild steel part to stainless steel, simply because rust during shipping was causing too many headaches.

The WHOLE point is the Fiero Store failed to deliver what they advertised. So, why should I do some extra work when they said it's already done, according to their website. That doesn't make any sense at all.

Well, they shouldn't be in business if they can't treat their customers like first class. It should always be this way.

If they go out of business, they would be out of luck making a living. So, it's more important for them than it is for us.

We Fiero enthusiasts deserve to be treated with world class. If they can't treat us like Rodney did, then get out of business.

We will find another company to work with sooner or later, that will treat us better.

Excuse me? I disagree 100%. I expected to be treated with respect. If they can't do that, that's on them. PERIOD!!!

They can go out of business for all I care because they have no right to treat any one of us this way. It's UNACCEPTABLE!

LOL Look, I know you don't like me and I don't care. I'm flattered that I have a rent free space in your head. Ha

The main question is WHY are you harassing me on my posts???

You would NEVER find me harassing you on your posts. So, you're the one who is looking for trouble here. What's your problem, huh???

Why don't you get lost??? Beat it & leave me alone???

You are one of those people in the Fiero community who seem to think they are a part of the so called "elite" group that are supposed to be "untouchable". Ha

I can see why THE FIERO STORE wouldn't dream of screwing people like you... because when the words get around, THE FIERO STORE would look bad, am I right???

So, we have TWO different situations here!

If you were in my shoes, you would feel the same way. So, stop insulting me and think with your head for once & imagine if you were treated like how they treated me, you wouldn't stand for it. Well, guess what? So called "Elite" group or not, NO customer should be treated this way. PERIOD! That's the law of the land.

They will go out of business if they can't learn how to respect all customers and customers have every right to complaint if something doesn't match to their website. PERIOD!

Nothing to do with transport because everything inside the box are not secured to begin with and off balance. Thus, that's why the box were beat up b/c of items inside the box were flying around out of control. Common sense! You should try it sometime. It falls on THE FIERO STORE. Period!

I guess entitlement is your favorite word that you like to insult people with. I guess you never shop online much before. If you were in my shoes, you would be upset. Of course!!! But if it's someone else, you think entirely differently. Well, that's your opinion. I don't care what you think because it's not relevant to my case.

My perspective is that everyone should be treated with respect. If they can't do that, then THE FIERO STORE should get out of business. That's my message!

How Rodney handles his business is an excellent model of how all other businesses should follow. It doesn't matter what kind of market we are in.

Every customer should be treated with respect & get the best shopping experience. THE FIERO STORE can do this. But first, they will have to swallow their pride which they won't. So, they will go out of business than to fix this error. It's not that hard and you don't need a rocket science degree to figure that out. Geez!

So, I can't get super technical as I don't know the ins and outs of each business but from my understanding;

It's called "QUALITY CONTROL". Both THE FIERO STORE and Rodney have to contract with outside companies to make some products for them which is understandable.

All they have to do is ensure every item they received are in good quality. I know Rodney does this, but The Fiero Store seem to be real bad at this job.

I didn't pay for items with rust on it as it was not shown in pics from their website. THE FIERO STORE failed to deliver what they promised. PERIOD!!!

LOL Nice try! Always trying to degrade my character as a customer here. Geez!

That's how I received from THE FIERO STORE, being all rusty. And Dean acknowledged those pictures via email last summer after I received it and said it was on the shelves for a long period of time and did nothing to dress it up before shipping it out to me.

They did not even use protective coat on it at all. Nothing! All rusty! Who would want to do business with the Fiero Store, knowing how they treated their items, huh?

Now, I gotta pay for someone to sandblast those parts again when The Fiero Store should have done it again or refund me the money to get it done again. That's not right... for the customer after paying them to do this to begin with.

It's called COMMON SENSE. You should try it sometime.

LOL Oh boy! Who am I dealing with here, huh? WRONG! You're wrong!

It shows the president has no class at all and it sends a very BAD message to all their employees. The president & his company will be out of job sooner or later for treating their customers badly. That's really BAD for the business.

Bottom line is if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all and leave it alone.

We the customers need to put our foot down and tell THE FIERO STORE that it's time to treat us with respect or get out of business. PERIOD!!!

The bottom line is everyone should be treated with respect!

If THE FIERO STORE can't do that, then they should get out of business.

That's what our Fiero enthusiasts' message should be to all businesses dealing with Fiero community or any car community for that matter.

Do you forget your glasses???

It came as RUSTY!!! That's not the same as shown in picture. What part of my statement you don't understand???

I didn't pay for both items to be covered in RUST. Hello??? If I knew, I wouldn't buy it to begin with. Why didn't they contact me & show me some pictures??? That would have saved a lot of headaches, don't you think???

Now, I gotta waste more money to get it sandblasted again. If it's gonna sit on the shelves for a long time, they should have all parts covered in protective coat to protect it. That's the logical thing to do to save headache for the customers.

Living rent free in my head? That's cute. I had forgotten about you until someone pointed your little tantrum out to me.

Elite?! LOL I was literally laughing out loud when I read all of that. I never thought of myself that way, but thank you for the compliment, I guess. If treating vendors of parts for my almost 40 year old car with respect makes me elite, well, so be it.

The rest of your nonsense isn't even worth replying to. Good luck finding another distributor of these increasingly hard to find parts.

Being in a small market as Fiero community is in, I strongly feel that it's important to show what kind of people the Fiero store is.

If not happy with the part then send it back and buy them else where.

Cast iron parts are difficult. If you cost them in a coating people get mad if you do if they want their own coating. If you paste them in grease people get mad as they become difficult to clean for paint. If they make them of aluminum they are more expensive.

If you let them surface rust they can be brushed and painted easily.

Look if you are unhappy send them back and buy new ones from someplace else. That is how they are and if you are not happy get your money back.

They are not going to blast them for you as they may be rusted by the time you get them anyways. Most of the cars from the factory has similar rust by the time they were sold.

I can see why they are refusing service as they have made reasonable offerers and you have not accepted.

If you are looking for an ally here I will be shocked if you find one.

Based on the issues I have seen and dealt with you really don’t have an issue. You should see what a real problem order is.

Send money to a shop for an engine and then have them vanish with your money. Then find that there is nothing law can do about it unless they catch them. Then find the amount you paid was cash and you have no way to get it back.

Or you buy a spindle from someone else it breaks and you destroy the car. Then find no warranty.

Sorry you are not happy but you really don’t have an issue here. Clean and paint or return for refund. The choice is yours.

To be clear, they have NOT made any offers to solve this issue at all.

To send it back, I would have to waste more money on shipping. Nah! I would rather file a formal complaint with the state attorney general offices along with GM.

This problem with THE FIERO STORE has been dragging on for way too long. Where are my rights, huh???

THE FIERO STORE did not offer to return it at all. They said we won't do business with you. That's insane because if they need money as they mentioned that we are in a niche market, they should know to work it out with me instead of creating this huge mess for everyone to see. It makes them look bad.

Is it possible it was sandblasted some months ago, and it sat on a shelf until now and developed some surface rust? I don't know how humid it is in Connecticut but that is sure what would happen here in the humid Midwest. I paint all my bare iron parts for that reason.

Yes, I'm sure that's what happened. However, Dean, the manager from THE FIERO STORE, failed to offer me options to resolve this issue.

If I was the manager, I would tell my customer that I could schedule to have it sandblasted again if he's not in a rush or offer a discount so he can get it done on his own. Don't you think that would be fair, right? That's the right thing to do.

And I find it mind boggling that some people here who dislike me think THE FIERO STORE didn't do anything wrong. Wow! Their judgement is really lacking.

Dean didn't even contact me before shipping it out. Plus, the way my package was packed, clearly it shows they had no respect for me at all.

I am not gonna let it go. I will explore every avenue to go after them for what they did to me. Because it's unacceptable that it happened to a Fiero customer.

Help me out here, because I'm confused. Understandable, since I'm not too bright. Were you buying these to install on a car, or just to look nice in a display somewhere? You'd have to paint them anyway if you don't want them to rust.

I'm sure you're also glad to be out of 99% of the other Fiero groups, since you were banned from them too.

No one is hijacking anything. You made a post in a semi-public forum, expecting sympathy and for everyone to agree with you. It obviously backfired, and now you're crying like a school bully when the other kids finally hit back.

Why would you say you're not too bright???

Of course, I would have to get it painted before getting it installed.

My complaint is I received it that is covered in rust. I was expecting to get those like those pics from their website.

Because if I knew it were in rust, I wouldn't have bought it to begin with. They failed to inform me before it was shipped.

Many thanks to everyone for their support, we really appreciate it! Sadly, many of you are likely aware of the reputation Fiero Vice has created for himself in the Fiero community over the years. His post and subsequent comments are filled with half-truths and misinformation. The part that is true is that we have ceased doing business with Fiero Vice. This dramatic step is one that we have taken three times in our 30-year history. Fiero Vice had been a customer for several years and despite our best efforts, we simply could not make him happy. His behavior had always been agitated, but in our final interaction, which Fiero Vice is attempting to describe, he became particularly aggressive and abusive. It was at that point we made the difficult decision to respectfully wish him well and part ways. Clearly Fiero Vice can figure out other ways to order from us, without our knowledge, but we felt it was important to send a message that there is no room for his aggression in civil society. We’ve certainly earned and addressed our fair share of complaints over the years without taking such serious action, but Fiero Vice’s behavior is well outside the boundaries of acceptable criticism.

I don't wish. I don't even care. You bIocked me like a coward over there, so I don't have to look at you. If you can't handle people disagreeing with you on the internet, you should probably stay off of it.

I couldn't say I've ever once had a bad experience with The Fiero Store who I have been going to for over 20 years, usually in person since I live very close by.

I can say with absolute confidence that if you feel like they treated you badly it was 100% your own fault.

I guarantee you if it ever came down to it, the entire Fiero community would show up in support of this business.
